Awesome choice, if you ask me. Can’t wait to see Sylar’s dad!

I like John Glover a lot and he is an amazing creepy actor when he wants to be. But it seems like Heroes is stealing from Smallville a bit. I mean a really bad villian (Sylar or Lex) with the same actor playing the dad… I just hope they don’t act to similar

Is this that episode “Shades of Grey” i heard of or was that something else?

Thats cool, but I was hopeing forLenard Nemoy, seeing as he is from Star Trek, and Zack played a young Spock :P .

Anyway, still a great choice :)

I think Sylars father could possibly have intuitive aptitude and that would explain why he thought all along that he had that ability, because that was the first power that he absorbed

Just a thery

This looks good.

pjanthony December 14, 2008 at 8:36 am

Not sure why but I’m thinking that his father might be a good guy, considering Sylar’s bad again and the posting says “he’s going to see a path ahead of him that he doesn’t want to take” could be wrong, but could be right, guess we’ll see next year.

What do you guys think??
pj..

I bet he’s a serial killer / scientist, who experiments on his initially normal son but adds some of his crazy genes to a serum & turns him into a monster.
Then he loses control, but calls the Company to come & take him away because at the time, only Arthur could control him.
& all these years he’s been living in some desert area as a normal guy, but expecting Sylar’s return.
Hmm.
Should be interesting.

I don’t know why we must bother with all that though – Sylar looked pretty dead to me after Claire’s knockout & the Fire…

Why the extra storyline? Maybe Sylar is supposed to be the ever-present & ultimate villain of the whole Show…

Hmm.

i reckon sylars dad (his real one) will be REAL POWERFUL and will have loads of abillities

bob's my uncle December 17, 2008 at 11:58 pm

i think that sylar’s dad was the one who gave the orders to keep sylar alive all this time. bcz usually they kill the dangerous “specials”.

also when sylar was taken to convalesce after being stabbed by hiro (season finale season 1) noone in either company knew what was going on.

i also think that his dad may have been a founding member or at least know the others in the company.

i think his dad’s powers will be greater than authurs.

also i think that noah knows sylars dad somehow.

or they could screw it all up and it could be boring. who knows anymore. it’s all getting a bit convaluted for me

mattman December 18, 2008 at 4:59 pm

yo bobs my uncle lol i agree with what u say about noah knowing bout sylars real dad cause he was the one who told sylar in the 1st place that arthur and angela wernt his real parents ??????

Chavitalo December 24, 2008 at 11:11 pm

I think his dad might be one of the people in charge of taking the “heroes” hostage and appointed sylar to capture them! whatever he says to sylar to make him do it, if that be the case, he has to be telling the truth since the sy-man isn’t gullible anymore…hhahaha

mr man know’s the truth from the lies, oh yeah!

ronnie December 25, 2008 at 4:45 pm

does any one else realize that they drop their own plot in many episodes? in the first season sylar took they ability from the redneck lady mechanic and could hear things from miles away, yet lately its like he doesnt have that ability, claire sneaks up on him, and on many other occasions he didnt hear people coming. i think once they put something into effect they need to stick with it.

Quinster December 26, 2008 at 12:38 pm

Very Interesting.
But Maybe He Also Has “The Peter Syndrome” As I Like To Call It.
He Can’t Use More Than One Power At The Same Time?
Hmm.

Actually He Can.
Because He Stopped Peters Bullet At The Same Time As Asking The Truth From Arthur.

Yeah… Heroes Fails There. But It’s All Good Because It Keeps It All Real.

There’s No Point In Making Sylar Invincible. Because Then It Would All Be Game Over By Now, Everyone Dead & Everything. See, He Still Has The RadioActive Explosion Thing From Season 1 – What Happened There? Lol…

ronnie December 27, 2008 at 1:13 am

thats true, but i would still like to see the stories that they have stick to the stories that they have had in the past. im not sure how this hunter thing will be goin in these future episodes, must be a bad ass to be able to capture all these people.

Quinster December 27, 2008 at 10:55 pm

Hmm Maybe.

In Fact I’ve Been Thinking A Little.

Didn’t Sylar Get Most Of Those Powers Before They Were All Taken Away? Remember When He Lost All Of Them? & He Was Stuck In The Rainforest With That Illusionist Gurl?

Anyway, I Personally Think Sylar’s Daddy Will Have The Key To All This Hunter Stuff.

Unless, It’s The Haitian!?! The Haitian Has That Ability Doesn’t He…

ronnie January 5, 2009 at 3:57 am

ya he had his powers taken away, but he originally didnt have anything but the ability to understand things, when his powers came back at the end of season 2, he had the ability to move things with his mind. so i doubt that his powers were lost when he had his injection.

ronnie January 5, 2009 at 3:59 am

and about the haitian, his character seems to be one that only wants the bad people taken out, the people he knows are good, like peter he usually helps so i dont see him hunting down the heroes.

Quinster January 5, 2009 at 6:21 am

Fair Points.

But now that still leaves us in the dark – how can this all happen!?!

I personally think Sylar’s dad is a waste of storytelling ability – why must we go there!?!

(am i scared?)

ronnie January 6, 2009 at 7:22 pm

i unno, i personally wish they would have kept that marine around who took the serum, and made him the hunter. would have been pretty good to see him keep working for nathan, then later turn on him as well. but they always have good story lines so im sure they wont disapoint.

Quinster January 6, 2009 at 10:50 pm

But the marine…
Did he die from that necktwist!?
I thought he just temporarily collapsed…
But then i suppose knox was quite strong.
Hmm.

meredith & her brother… i thought they were invulnerable to fire??

if they aren’t… then they’re both dead, right?

ronnie January 9, 2009 at 2:56 am

ya well i kno for sure meridth is, i mean wwhen claire was a baby she and her mother survived the fire that they talk about. i think they will both be back.
i thought that the marine was killed since knox seems to pretty much kill any one he touched.

Quinster January 9, 2009 at 1:30 pm

Hmm.

Oh Well… Knox Is Gone. He Was Good. But I Think That Mohinder Is Going To Join Nathan Petrelli. He Doesn’t Really Like Heroes Anymore. He’s Going To Join Nathan Petrelli, Recreate A Virus Which Removes Powers, & Then Go After The Heroes.

I Just Get The Feeling…

ronnie January 11, 2009 at 2:10 am

ya, seems pretty realistic. only a few more weeks wait!

joe January 14, 2009 at 6:35 am

sylar! I Am Your Father

Andrew February 5, 2009 at 6:20 pm

I have a feeling, Sylar’s dad (Samson) is going to be some crazy kook. Sylar’s real dad couldn’t mentally keep the child and so he gave Gabriel to his brother to keep. Ability wise, he will end up being a guy who never took advantage of his powers. I doubt he will be anything like Arthur, ability wise. He is a taxidermist, so I figure his ability would be related to how he catches the wild animals and skins them. Sylar will definitely understand more about himself through his father though, which will make Sylar go batty until he get’s shot probably by HRG or Claire by nearly the end of the volume. I think we will see more of Samson after his debut, and probably into the next volume which will be the cause of Sylar’s true turn towards justice and right (especially once he figures out he has a son which will be revealed before the end of this volume), as the exposed future shows him to be.
