So… Sylar kills Elle because his “inner self” will never change?? Kind of a lame excuse to kill someone when both of them had just got done having sex earlier in the episode and when Elle just saved his life from HRG’s sniper bullets… honestly, I’m really bothered by this set of events and it doesn’t even make sense that Sylar would kill Elle. Not at all. But it does make things rather interesting now that HRG told Sylar that the Petrelli’s weren’t really his family and they are just using him as a weapon or a pawn.
Nathan is obviously about to create some sort of super soldier by the looks of the preview for next week’s episode. This has to be in the preview for episode 13 when “Nathan and Peter square off after the events of Arthur’s death and Nathan will make a decision that will have global repercussions.” I know Nathan means well for the greater humanity, but this is inevitably going to blow up in his face, as you can clearly see. But I wonder if this will change things between Peter and Nathan forever. Futre Peter already attempted to kill Present Nathan when he wanted to tell the world about their powers, but it looks like Nathan’s doing relatively the same thing by actually trying to give people powers (when the rest of the world will eventually figure it out).
I really thought Claire was gonna kill HRG when he wasn’t there for her in the hospital. Maybe when she goes back in time with Hiro, she’ll gain some new perspective on why HRG does what he does. I dunno. It still doesn’t explain how “Peter and the Heroes face off against Claire and the Villains” in the last episode of Volume 3, so I am anticipating an intense turn of events for next week’s episode and for the finale.
Does anyone know what power the Haitian’s brother has? Kind of hard to tell solely by what happened in the episode.
In episode 10 the Haitian said his brother had impenetrable skin. Kinda like superman.
I’m still not sure about what HRG told Sylar. When Mohinder had knocked Sylar out in the lab, Arthur stopped him and told Mohinder that Sylar was his son. Sylar, in an unconscious state, wouldn’t have heard Arthur say this…meaning that he could be telling the truth.

1) Elle might not be dead and will most likely return at some point (I am not sure that would be such a great idea, but I am sure the Kristen Bell fans are happy). Seems like there is a cover up in the works.
well i seriously hope that sylar didnt kill elle because that would be really annoying- i think elle was the best new character of season 2 and to kill her off now would be a total waste!
and what about little noah?!?
heroes is so confusing- i never know what will happen next!
and i was just getting used to the “nice” sylar
and now im wondering if they actually are his parents becuase sylar does have the power to see where every object has been- and im assuming this means people too- so he should have been able to know if they were lying (i think?) i dont know im very confused ;-S

well the evil Sylar is back now yay, does make the show more interesting. Im just pissed that he ‘killed’ Elle, why would he kill her, stupid stupid mistake there, hopefully she will come back
Still hoping there may be baby noah and elle still the mother, just as long as Sylar doesn’t burn her body next episode, because if that happens, then Elle is gone for good, if her body is not burned, then Elle has the chance to come back.
Fingers crossed that he doesn’t burn her body, will just have to wait and see. I also don’t see how simply cutting her forehead killed her, he didn’t exactly ‘eat’ her brain did he, the top of her head was still on, how can that kill her. ARRRRG
Those script writers are starting to piss me off.
wow…this episode and the last one were just AWFUL. At the end of this episode we find out that both ‘eclipse mega two-part episodes’ were pointless and useless to character development, story line, plot, etc.
this whole eclipse was unnecessary. what happened? what? nothing. let’s recap.
suresh: still a monster, no change.
bennet: still got his priorities messed up
claire: still alive
daphne: still fast
peter: still powerless
author: still powerful
hiro: still a kid
matt: uhh..
the only changes… the only changes were downright questionable. one we’ve seen coming since season 1 and the second one,..well im stil scratching my head saying wtf?
1. Nathan joins his dad and is on the road to becoming the evil senator/president hes been poised to become since day one…we don’t need the eclipse for it.
2. Sylar kills Elle…excuse me but WHAT!? why. there is no explicable reason for this. none. its not even in season 1 Sylar character. Sylars character was becoming the most redeeming part of this show, they may have just destroyed that in one fell swoop. the only reason i see is it was a poor excuse to let Kristen belle go after her ’signed on episodes were up’ and the excuse we get is “people don’t change, i was only that way w/o my powers”…loophole. they stated getting together WHEN he had his powers…flashback Ep. & when shes electrocuting him. and that one line ruins what Sylars struggle has been this entire season. its what made him the most interesting part of the show.
and it gets even worse.
- the African side story…useless. unnecessary. baron simdy or whatever. didn’t add anything. would have been better on the cutting room floor. yeah they needed the Haitian but this is an ineffective and unbelievable way to get Nathan to side with his dad.
- Uh.. can anyone tell me why Suresh cocooned himself? Was is so all the people who think he is so hot could see his naked behind?
- the scene when Daphne hugs her father…uhh. horrible acting. i felt like i was watching ’soaps’
this episode did it for me.. and i feel awful about it. still going to watch till the end, but if things aren’t answered and there isn’t anything to redeem this lackluster season i may be gone for season 4.
Daphne cant even walk without her power, so why didn’t she fell on the ground in episode 3 in the cinema in Berlin when the Haitian was there??? She had no power but could walk with no problem at all
i actually can see the point of the episode. nathan is a great complexed character who needed the story to become who he was. peter,the one dimensional character has found a “hero” in himself without his powers. the hiation character is padded out. sylar is even more messed up which makes him a more unpredictable character. i do however see a complete turn around with the story arc. change of writers perhaps ?
Well, when the eclipse was going on she slowly started to feel weak in her legs again, but in the cinema Hiro slammed the Haitian on the ground and daphne could use her power and run away, and the Haitian came to his senses again, but when he did, Daphne was long gone.
Sylar killed Elle for no reason, IF he really did kill her. What really bothers me is that she didn’t even defend herself. Injured or not she should have at leased made an attempt to defend herself. Futhermore, he already has her power, Sylar has The Hunger, he is not a random mass murderer. When has he ever killed someone just for the sake of killiing them. If He killed Elle because of what HRG said, then the writers have just turned his character into an idiot.
I think the only reason why Elle is in 3:12 is because Sylar is going to burn her body, like what we see in the pic. HOPEFULLY she gets away and hides until the end of volume 4. When the writers can fix the major confussion they started. Honestly these eclips episodes accomplished nothing, now we are back to where we started 3 episodes ago. Except the fact that Nathan is going to join Arthur’s Villians
Sylar has a constant clash going on in his persona this season between redemption and his old ways. Constantly teetering, that makes him unpredictable and a liability as an ally. He finally just gave up on trying to be something else so he just gave in to his old ways, hence the death/assault on Elle and returning to the bad guy role. You just have to look into the character and stop scrathing the surface.

yea thats true he is having an inner clash, in fact the entire season his storyline has been about his inner struggle.
You mean to tell me a possible lie by mr. bennet caused him to give up on what? 11 episodes of ‘re-habilitation.’ thats weak writing is what it is.
In fact elle probably did more to get sylar to assume his own identity than anyone else, she even urges him and pushes him to be himself when she tells that rental guy that he kidnapped her.
and! sylar has the ability to see peoples pasts now… if he felt lied to (by someone i might add he was currently strangling to death, thus more prone to say whatever he could to get out of it or wound sylar in some way) then he would have been able to instantly see the truth in it.
it was out of left field her death, and completely out of character for sylar now,…nevermind his character now, its out of character for sylar from season one.
remember the line from season one “why would i kill them, i have nothing to gain!”
if he did indeed not change his inner self, that should have came to the fore then.
again weak writing. they quite possibly ruined the most interesting story line on the show in one silly act of “kristen belles episode contract is up!”
I hope Elle will return, She and Sylar are a good couple.
And I hope that Sylar will eventually be a good guy, don’t get me wrong, I love the villain Sylar, but it would be pretty cool if Sylar really became a hero.

Like many others said, last night’s episode accomplished nothing! I seriously think that Sylar has gone bipolar…his character was so good, but now it’s just following a cycle of “villian-good guy”. If Elle HAD to die, then the writers should have done it in a more dramatic/sensable way, like on that upcoming “plane-crash”.
I loved Hiro coming to HRG, Claire, and Sandra’s rescue.
Sylar as evil again was kinda creepy.
Elle looking very much like she’s gonna die was sad.
Nathan siding with Pinehearst wasn’t totally unexpected but how it went down was. I’m wondering if he thinks he can either get the reigns off Arthur or away from Arthur.
What a bummer!
I love this show but Elle possibly dying like that was pretty stupid. How can Sylar go from having sex with her at the start to slicing her skull at the end! That boy has pms I tell you.
I wish I believed that she ‘isnt really dead’ but im not big on false hope.
shes starring in the next episode sure, but only as a corpse.
I am sure ALOT of stuff and twists are gonna happen in the next 2 episodes. I hope Volume 4 will have much better character consistency. But I hope the drama stays the same
the reason he killd elle was coz he was good and had no powers so he didnt have the hunger then t hey got them bak and he got annoyed coz he found out elle was liein to him sylar is m uch betta wen he is bad but that episode was pretty much a massive let down to wat theyve been buildin it up to be
For some reason I still refuse to believe Elle is dead. I hope she becomes a regular in the next volume
The Hiro saving HRG and comic store scenes were possibly the only enjoyable parts of this episode.
Still… It should be interesting to see how it all pans out.
i live in australia so i havent seen the second part to the eclipse so im not sure what happens but the main reason i watch heroes is for my dose of elle and sylar moments and for her too be killed off is just crazy, but seeing how it looks like she has died i just hope that its a faked so she can go into hiding or sumthing or she isnt dead and just is really baddely injured and sylar is trying to save her because they are so great together.
i liked that sylar is “back” ?
and the hiro storyline so far is lol worthy…
The way Nathan swapped sides was lame, there was no hinting at it, they just did it. It would have been better if he’d have had a definite reason to come to a decision at the time like peter being about to kill his dad or after he found out Angela’s plans. Even him saying something like “Mum did this to me pete! And I turned out alright, maybe it is the right way path!” woulda been better then “Yeah I’m with dad on this one”
Way I see it, Syler and Peter were supposed to face off brother Vs brother but when they decided that they needed a good ole killer back rather then a guy with a god complex they decided to make Nathan his right hand man so it’s Peter Vs Nathan. Which is stupid, Nathan’s power is shit, I mean he can fly and all he does to Baron is crash tackle him? He doesn’t fly him up and drop him or anything kool..
And Elle’s death should be permanant. She’s a character in the show just like Eden, Simone and Niki were. Go watch Kristen in something else?
And I’m pretty sure that according to the comics, Niki/Jessica’s Powers manifested 6 months before the events of Genesis? She ripped those guys up and buried them didn’t she? So obviously the Eclipse didn’t bring on the powers at all right?

yeah, but Gabriel/Sylar also manifested powers before the eclipse, and all of the company founders got their abilities several years before along with several others, so some people may have recieved their powers from the eclipse while some got them before or after the eclipse.
