Hey all!
As I wrote before, most of the cast and crew are back filming Heroes Season 4 Volume Redemption.
Here are some first spoilers directly from the set ( Adrian Pasdar )
What a great first day we had. Shot a load of stuff in my office, no dialogue, just me acting up a storm. Solo. Then Mr Q joined us and the fireworks began. What a gentle man. This is going to be an amazing season. Everybody dropped by the set at one point or another today. This is one seriously tight cast. I am a better person for knowing? all of them. I feel lucky.
Also, about Comic Con – Heroes will have a presence at Comic-Con but we will not be doing a panel.
“I plan on being there, along with some cast and writer/producers, etc, and we’re fully expecting to have a great sneak peek at Season 4 to show. The fans that come to Comic-Con are the best, most loyal that we have. We wouldn’t miss it.”

Comic-con is held every year at the San Diego Convention center for 4 and 1/2 days. if you ever get aq chance to go it is worth the travel $$

My bad, I misread your post, the dates this year are July 23-26. However, all tickets are sold out for this year’s Comic-con, they sell out faster each year.
Mr. Q is Mr Zach Quinto aka Gabriel Gray aka Sylar aka “Nathan” along with Mr BuckShotWon, which both will be know as Nathan/Sylar hope no reference to Nalar, that would be a cero, or Sylar/Nathan which at least sounds decent as Sythan as Mr Coleman reported in his HRG Files in his blog. Awsome, now the characters Nathan and Sylar will interact more, not like last season 3’s last 2 ep, where they just meet, only to have Nathan killed soo fast and paintfull T-T.
Hope there will be a character that might have an ability to separate 2 beings in one, meaning that “Nathan” could become one persone now, and not living as Sylar, cause everytime I see a photo or something regarding Pasdar or Nathan, my throat hurts, cause the way he died, a paintful and yet slow death.
Cool about the Comi-Con, to bad i dont live in the US I would love to be in San Diego, too bad in the country I live only comes one invited celebrity once a year, but non of HEROES, but still good news are better than bad ones.

Sylar/Nathan scenes from the get-go is a good sign. I hope they play that one out for a long while.
Yeah same the could make it have the same intensity as jessica/nikki if they try hard enough.
I just hope like Pasdar said in an interview regarding “Nathan” if Quinto as Sylar isn’t done yet and he will come back, then does that could be the same regarding Pasdar now that Nathan is death, and Sylar lives now as “Nathan”, I mean, will he still be on the show more, well this is HEROES, anything can happen.
About the Nikki/Jessica idea Im in favor, but still Sylar will have the upper hand since it is his body, and “Nathan” is like an artificial being. There could be only a reason in how Nathan might come back to life, but not the real one, he is death, but “Nathan” could in a similar way as in the movies Child’s Play, like when the serial killer possesing the doll Chucky, stays more in the doll’s body, the more he becomes part of it. Maybe if “Nathan” has control, and thanks of two abilities Sylar has and used to take Nathan’s identity, could turn into him, thanks to Matt. Only another thing, could Sylar by any chance aquire flight when he took Nathan’s DNA thanks to shape-shifting and clairsentience, since it wasnt revealed if “Nathan” know how to fly, but still he was a little aware of the intuitive-aptitude as shown at the volume 5 sneek peek.
Another could be if one way or another the real Nathan comes back to life a way or another by any way, if there is still a body of his in a bag hidden, and by Matt “Nathan” is transfered from Sylar to the real Nathan revived to be merged as one, and having Sylar’s abilities thanks to “Nathan” learning to control them and being a badass character, and being the only one to stop Sylar, and then giving Pete his abilities a way or another. Another could be that Matt transfers “Nathan”’s persona to the real Nathan’s dead body, and Nathan heals, how, thanks to “Nathan” in learning Sylar’s abilities which include Rapid cell regeneration, bringing him back, but only the body back to like, but Nathan and “Nathan” merging onto one. But one thing, the body is death and I dont think one could transfer a tought or personality to a corpse, but about “Nathan” persona learning all of Sylar’s abilities could help.
For one thing Sylar has one advantage in stay more in the show than Nathan, that he has a much more larger fan base, which wouldnt be convinient for the writers in killing him.

I’m in need of Heroes!
Claire having a roommate, so we know she heads off to college or something, then a murder happens. From hearing that we automatically know that she is going to be involved in a big way, and I don’t hesitate to say that her protective father will be in the background keeping secrets from her again, whilst forming his new ‘company’
I want Hiro to do something good this season. There wasn’t much action which he was involved in last time, he sort of blended into the background although we did find out a little bit more about him.
As for Peter Petrelli, he doesn’t know about nathan and Sylar yet but when he finds out my guess is he will work with claire to stop something bad from happening. I always love their scenes together, but I would like to see some more of future peter again. Maybe he could stop the ‘carnival’ and maybe he could run into his beloved evil father again!
I’m just jotting ideas down here but the spoilers do help and sometimes they help you understand the plot of the story when it’s not that clear, so keep reading no matter how bad the story gets because I can tell you Tim Kring is not going to leave the show standing with low reviews for long!
ill always watch Heroes, no matter how weird the plot gets. I gotta say i’m liking the Carnival idea… it could be really interesting and plus it’d link in with what TK said when he said he wants to look at how people with abilities would live in the real world and scamming people seems like a good way to live
Dear Heroes Writers who will never ever read this thread or this post,
I have only one request this season. Now as in other seasons, you may introduce some new charachters that we find interesting or possibly crush-worthy. This is brilliant of you, truly amazing, to think up new ones so often. However, please attempt not to kill them off or make them vanish into thin air at the end of that season or the next only to have the original season 1 cast remain as the survivors of the season. This has gotten very old. Very. If you take the time and effort to build a whole new storyline and make us like a charchter, don’t just trash them the second you need to kill someone and don’t have the guts to kill off main charachters. The whole star-trek-extra-guy routine is annoying, even if you give extra-guy a name, storyline, and appearance in 5 episodes.
RIP, Daphne, Elle, Tracy etc.
MIA, Luke, Alex, Monica, Nana etc.
P.S. Not that i don’t like watching Nathan die at the end of every season, but please make it permanent next time. No offense to the actor, i love Adrian. Just not his charachter.
… yeah okay that was smart alec-y but these are my only real problems with the show. I still adore Heroes, just get annoyed with these two ittle ittle things.

By the way, reports of Tracy’s death have been ‘greatly exaggerated’ (read ‘wrong’). I don’t understand WHY people still don’t comprehend this.

its obvious that it was her in the preview of season 4… she has just developed her powers by the looks of things.. maybe we’ll see this occur with other characters?
i certainly hope so.. imagine peter adapting his power to replicate abilities.. maybe he could keep the powers again?

I’m not that prone to affirm Sylar ought to have the upper hand on Nathan “because its his body”. Remember that he already had issues controlling his shapeshifting ability before, when fully conscious.
Writers already mentioned that every day that passes makes it harder for Sylar to get back to himself. Nathan’s DNA prints deeper, and touching Nathan’s stuff imprints more memories over and over.
It will be interesting when he’ll realize he’s actually Sylar, most likely through display of abilities other than Flight. One part of him will want to be Sylar again, while his alter-ego will want to be Nathan. This storyline has a lot of potential and I really hope they don’t screw it up. More exciting than than is the plot that will unwrap should Peter not only realize what happened to Nathan, but that it was Angela’s doing.
My feeling is that “Nathan” himself, in his confusion, will tell Peter about the situation. Peter will be in front of both of what’s left of his brother and the guy who assassinated him. Will he help “Nathan” get the upper hand on Sylar and accept him as a brother ? Or will he be so horrified that he will do everything he can to kill him ? There are so many ways they can play that out.
F.D., some good points in that post, especially the bit about “touching Nathan’s stuff imprints more memories over and over”.
Just wanted to say, I just remembered them saying something about ‘Peter trying to be a hero “in the purest sense” by saving one life at a time… which means distancing himself from his family and friends… until he meets someone who helps him to realise that he needs to stay connected with people.’
Two things about that:
1) It doesn’t sound like Peter will be around [his family] much, at first, so he won’t see much of Nathan or his ID crisis, at least not until later on in the season. In fact, I can picture a scenario with Claire suspecting the horrifying truth first, and somehow calling Peter – like last season when she overheard Angela on the phone to Nate.
2) Staying connected with people? Sounds like empathy to me, just cleverly phrased. Could this be how he gets his EM back, as many people have speculated/ hoped?
sk74 i think that we all hope he gets his empathy back through this, oh and then teleports back in time steals a formula and injects hiro whilst creating an illusion that makes adam loose his power to arther but keeps him alive…and then injects him too…
yeah its cheesy, predictable, not going to happen, but i would sure as heck accept and love that. its everything i want…oh and he can save mory parkman too, if that was done i would have no problems what so ever with heroes…except the caitlin scenario…wow i hv a few!

The main reason it can’t happen is coz he’d need a time traveller to mimic the power of, to be able to teleport back in time – and they are a rare breed now!

Agreed with F.D.s idea regarding Nathan/Sylar’s identity crisis, and the use of clairsentience, since “Nathan” when he was created, Angela told Matt that Sylar can acquire any memory of Nathan by touching his personal things, making him remember any event of his life, and same with shape shifting, since if he stays more in that appearance of Nathan and DNA, he will acquire that form, since HRG told Matt soo, that this “Nathan” will be as the original thanks to those two abilities Sylar obtained.
Spoilers: recently there have been posted new behind the scenes photos featuring Ventimiglia and Quinto, and one odd thing is that Quinto’s hair style in the set was similar as Pasdar’s hair style used as portraing Nathan on the show.

On that same note, I agree with the person who said they’re tired of the writers killing off the new characters.
Well, according to the writers time travel will be featured in Hiro’s story this season (let’s hope for the best = Hiro getting this ability back and no longer blending into the background), so that may make the idea of Peter time traveling applicable.
What I would love to see, though, instead of the whole illusion thing alexx mentioned with Adam, would be for either Hiro or Peter (well, let’s face it – Hiro) to go back in time, dig up Adam, bring him back to the present, and when the writers decide to get rid of Adam again, have Hiro bring him back to the past, bury him alive again so that Season 3 Hiro can dig him up, and “feed” him to Arthur Petrelli.
And on the subject of Arthur… I want to see someone hack his body into pieces, burn the remains, place the ashes in an urn, lock the urn away in a titanium case, and send the titanium case in a rocket, into the center of the sun.
Worst. Character. Ever.
(I apologize if I’ve offended any Arthur fans, but seriously, I do not understand how people could complain about Maya and Alejandro, or indeed, ANYTHING in season 2 -which I, personally, found to be amazing- and then call Arthur’s praises.)

I’m going to reserve judgement on all this Hiro/ timetravel talk until we see what it’s really about.
I mean, the way I remember it being phrased is that ‘Hiro’s story will DEAL with time travel’… more specifically ‘the consequences/ ramifications of his messing with time’. I don’t actually recall reading that Hiro will get time travel back at all! So, I’m not gonna hold my breath waiting for that to happen… and I’ve got a feeling that a lot of people (from the looks of it) will be either severely disappointed or seething mad when (if?) it doesn’t happen… Don’t say I didn’t warn y’all!
But if anyone has info to confirm that he will def get TT back, please post it – or the link – please! I would love to see Hiro get his full powers back… but I just think that everyone is reading too much into what has been said.

@Andy I disagree on Arthur. He was pretty much the epitome of what a villain should be , even more than Sylar ever was IMO. Have they screwed him up ? Pretty much. But he had the potential. I hope to see more of him in flashback episodes at least. I think writers hinted somewhere that we’ll get to see how Primatech began to be corrupt and whatnot.
How did Arthur get a power seemingly identical to Devaux’ even though Charles apparently still had his power when he died? Did Angela fall for him because he abused his ability on her ? How did he become maniacal enough to attempt to kill the son he obviously respected the most ? His coma seemed to have a Chanti-ish effect on him, reseting everything except his original “stealing” ability; which abilities did he steal before this event?
IMO, Arthur is a fascinating character. They simply screwed his scenario really bad in vol. 3.
@sk74: Hiro could be able to time-travel with the help of Ando. Or maybe if he makes Baby Parkman REALLY happy, he’ll give him his full power back
He cannot however not be able to run around through time like he did in previous seasons unless he fixes his nosebleed thingie. So it’s a way for writers to keep him in check.
when baby matt is old enough he can turn hiro full ona nd hiro can go back in time which will be dangerous for him to use his power again BUT then inject himself so that he propperly has powers.

He just seemed like an easy way for the writers to take away Peter’s powers, and effectively wipe out time travel. And not that I mean to say anything bad about the actor, but I just didn’t like Arthur’s personality at all. He seemed bland, and he always talked in the same monotone – at least that’s what it seemed like to me.

I have heard the argument before that he was what a villain should be from one of my close friends, but I just don’t see it, to be honest. I like that he seemed somewhat like a mob boss, and I enjoyed the concept of him being rather powerful, but other than that, I found the character rather irritating.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE villains. I love powerful villains, intelligent ones, you name it. But I love villains when they’re well done. I didn’t find Arthur to be well made at all. :\ I think Nathan in “Dual” was the best villain in Volume 3. (I’m not counting Sylar, because I saw him more as an antihero in that volume)
And, actually, we don’t know if he lost any of his abilities after being poisoned. The only ability he exhibited prior was the telepathy/mind control ability that Matt, Maury and Charles have. And we see him use this in “Angels and Monsters” and “Dying of the Light”, both before stealing any of Peter’s abilities. We know he didn’t steal the ability from Maury, because Maury was using his ability to manipulate Nathan and Daphne. So, unless he found *another* telepath and absorbed their ability, I think it’s safe to say he didn’t lose that ability. (seriously, if it turns out there’s another telepath on the show, I’ll pull my hair out. We already have 4 characters who originally were telepaths, not to mention Peter and Arthur)
But yeah, in the GN’s, Arthur is depicted is not knowing he has an ability, and only discovering people have abilities by the time Nathan is old enough to walk. So, I’m not sure at around what time he develops his ability, or even how many abilities he would’ve absorbed from the point he learns of his ability until the events of Volume 3, episode 8, “Villains”.
It makes total sense that people like Peter and Arthur cannot find out they have abilities until they meet other people harboring some.
I totally agree with you that Arthur was badly developped. But he had a lot of potential. There’s certainly a reason as to why he was so obsessed with giving/selling abilities. Greed ? I doubt it. Did he want to have more abilities to harvest ? Maybe… Was he just obsessed with controlling who’d get abilities ? Who knows.
There’s also a reason why he injected a synthetic ability into Nathan. He and Angela also knew Peter would eventually display empathic mimicry way before he manifested any signs of it.
There’s also his association with Linderman. Linderman ultimately cheated him by healing Angela’s memory, but these guys definitely had a plan going. Then suddendly, Linderman focused on helping Nathan become president in any way possible. Also, Linderman could’ve saved Charles, but he didn’t. Was there a feud between these two ? Or did Charles simply ask him to let him go ? For some reason I feel there’s something going with Linderman+Arthur vs Charles. Especially since Charles seemingly was the first to charm Angela.
I think they made it seem like his death wasn’t necessarily permanent because they want to keep the option to bring him back eventually. After all, he got the same treatment as Noah except that the Haïtian was controlling his regeneration. But Claire and Sylar both died during the eclipse then came back, so everything is possible.
Should they bring him back, I hope the jump on the opportunity to “fix” a character that IMO has a lot of potential. I want to see more of him as much as I want to see more of Samson Gray. These guys are IMO more fascinating than any villain they could throw at us. I mean… compare them to Alice.

I agree, Andy, that Arthur seemed to be a convenient way and excuse to easily de-power Peter and Hiro, therefore killing two birds with one stone (too much power & time travel)… But I also thought exactly the same as F.D., that he was the epitome of what a villain should be… although he could have been done a bit better, yes. I saw his blandness more as a coldness, no emotion. And one thing that I picked up on was that he ABSOLUTELY thought that he was doing the right thing for everyone, that the world would be a better place for it (sound like anyone? Like father, like son…) and he would go to any lengths to achieve that – even if it meant sacrificing his own family (and the apple didn’t fall too far from that tree to an extent). Ruthless. Even in the GNs, when he was making Linderman repeatedly heal a prisoner that he was ‘interrogating’ back in the war… he’s gotta be devoid of humanity, but he thinks he knows what’s best for the world. As we know, he has a God Complex – in fact, he thinks he’s better than God (which, by the way F.D., IMO is the main driving force behind his wanting to give abilities to everyone… he fully believes in his twisted vision. Control and power are factors in there too). He def had potential.

It was arther who gathered the villains using mory and daphne. He had a team of mory, daphne, sylar, elle, knox, flint, tracy, mohinder, do we count nathan?
that is why it sucked that not one of the characters are alive today except sylar who is under the belief that he is nathan…
arther you may have noticed never used his powers very much, he was the leader while flint and knox where his side weapons, mory his advisor, mohinder his scientist, nathan his representitive…do u get where im going? he was fully set as the throne chair lead surrounded by all of these useful people with sylar as his ultimate weapon…
He had all the abilities one would need like maya’s kill everyone around you…or the ability to heal and live forever….he had potential.
it sucks that adam died when instead arther could have taken peters power of rapid celleluar regeneration and left adam or used him as another tool “i could be of use to you!”.

well, remember how future peter could put the other peter in jesse’s body. maybe thats how he’ll seperate nathan and sylar. (possibly)

Good thinking, but I don’t think that will happen… they’re not actually separate people to begin with. Just essentially one person who has been brainwashed into believing he is someone else.

I just have to say a few things. It seems to me everyone is forgetting a future that peter and clair saw. One where Sylar was Nathan, and he was president. To top it off, more than likely this is the future of the heroes, an almost inescapable Thread. Does anyone remember peter? His face, having that scar, shows that he has yet to recieve regeneration, and that he just has a few powers copied from sylar. Unfortunately kiddos, Sylar will win over the brain wash, and become president. He will trick everyone into believing he is just Nathan, where actually he has world domination consuming his mind. The last thing you see of that future peter is a lightshow battle with your Nathan/Sylar.

Nobody has forgotten that future at all (it’s just that no-one on THIS page has referred to it so far – but trust me, we know and remember it).
But also, remember: The timeline might be heading towards a VERY similar future, but it is NOT exactly the same as that future (i.e. Sylar is posing as Nathan – whether he knows it or not – but he is using Shapeshifting, as opposed to Illusion, to achieve this. Nikki is dead, Ando is – currently – alive, and Mohinder has powers… for these three people, the opposite was true in FYG). So no-one can say for certain what is going to happen, coz there are already different variables in the equation now.

in fugatives, daphne said that hiro cant be dead because ando is the one that kills him in the future….THIS IS MASSIVe
it goes against all the gans out there like sk74, karin, jig, swm, f.d…. all of u who have constantly agreed like me that the future ‘is not set in stone’
if the writers are accting through her words, it means that nyler is going to end up as president as though the shanti virus is now destroyed, there could be another situation like in 5 yrs gone, where specials r rounded up…claire could go cold…maybe even a recreation of the formula and pinehurst, there could have been a surviving vial
All im saying is that if daphen was telling the truth then the future IS set in stone…
