the one with short hair is the “suicide” room-mate, hmm or more likely pushed. until i saw the pic of claire lying on the chalk outline i had thought claire was doing her i’ll just hurt myself again plotline (you know like the toe thing – ewww). hey maybe her career choice will be a csi, well she is a literal dummy lol.

I’ll prob catch a lot of shit for this, but WTF is everyone’s prob w/Claire?? I know that at times she does get whiney & annoying, but her charachter is what, 16-17yrs old? Arent all teenagers whiney & annoying? I like her charachter, like I said she does annoying shi* but, so does Hiro. Actually he bothers me more than Claire. I like her storylines better than Hiro’s, so I’d rather see him go.
Plus w/o Claire, that would close a lot of storylines….
I dunno…just my opinion.

@ sk74, future peter caused a rift? BASICly he went back and did a future peter, or as future hiro did it first, future peter did a future hiro, anyway the point is like you said it is very risky so that is why controlled I.A + timetravel = safe timeline

but he would be living in a world that could possibly have like 96% of nits people destroyed, i would take the risk of timetravel there.

@alexx and anyone else in the UK… cheers for the links, but I ususally download the eps… someone usually uploads the latest one by the next day as a torrent file. I would recommend this way to anyone, it’s easy to get to know how to use, and as long as you know what to look for to avoid viruses it’s quite safe (I usually don’t download a torrent that hasn’t been commented on or given the all-clear by previous downloaders).

Alexx, I did try surfthechannel.com once, but I think I had some trouble with it, or the link was broken, or something… also got a bug on my computer soon after that if I remember, so IDK if it was actually due to that site, but I’ve steered well clear ever since! TVshack is another good on tho, for streaming programs and movies.

sooo many more characters r more interesting than claire n btw @sk74 i kinda see power evolution as when a character can do a whole new thing wetheer they always could or not, eg peter goin from usin powers around people to using themw ithout those ‘distractions’.

claires power evolved to allow her to well 1st off not age…well eventually stop aging anyway so she is immortal, we have all had that long discussion over how she suddenly stopped feeling pain? does she still not feel it? i believe that out final conclusion (everyone present in that loong convo) was that it was her power evolving n not sylars meddeling…also elle ws just very stressed out…

so yeah other than that her power has evoleved to allow her CB….Ahhhh the fire DOWN GOES LONDON……….

To face what’s coming, it looks like Peter and Hiro need to be back a higher level of power like they once were, or close to that. Even if he doesn’t absorb like he used to, I’d rather Peter do it the way he’s been doing through touch, as long as he can call upon it when needed…the fact that he learned hand to hand combat makes alot more badass-something he has kinda became since vol.4

Hiro, I’ve heard rumors his sister helps him regain his power because she takes after their mother. I saw Ando kissing a woman that could be her, do you think he supercharges he dormant ability by accident? That would be funny and cool at the same time

@alexx… I kinda disagree one only one point… the evolution of Claire’s ability. As far as I can see, because of the Regeneration ability as a WHOLE, the SIDE EFFECTS – or better yet, ASPECTS – of that power means that:
A) she can heal (obviously) and is immune to most forms of injury, poisons, etc.
B) her bloody blood (lol!) has recuperative properties (this is linked to A)
C) she is practically immortal (like Adam, her cells will end up renewing at the same rate that they are dying – a “constant state of equilibrium”, I think Angela called it – when she reaches a certain age)

These all seem to be inherent aspects of her ability ANYWAY, they don’t seem to have evolved much… maybe they’ve gotten more effective over time. But the only real evolution so far has been the ‘No Pain’ thing… IMO it’s still debatable whether it kicked in due to Sylar poking around in her head, or if he actually activated it. But didn’t he pull something in her brain (it looked like he activated a hidden switch – LOL! I almost expected a bookcase to slide open behind them or something )… anyway, didn’t he pull something just before she asked why she couldn’t feel anything?

Uh-oh… I can see this sparking a whole new misunderstanding of ‘using empathy’. Soon people are gonna think that Hiro can mimic other abilities or something.

That could be true, since I def don’t think that they’ll kill Hiro off. I kinda like and hate the idea at the same time… I hope they DON’T give Kimiko a power – it seems kinda corny and too convenient – but it would make more sense (and somehow be LESS corny and convenient) than Hiro just happening to cross paths with another healer on his travels. Hmmm… a catch 22 situation!

What would make me happy is if there was a twist… for instance, if Kimiko isn’t merely a healer, but if her power, let’s say, heals by reversing the changes the body has gone thru… so for her to make Hiro better, she will also regress his powers, or age, or mind (any or all of that combo). Apart from keeping things interesting and challenging for Hiro, it would be a good way to reset his character and start again, without depowering him as such… and it kinda keeps the ‘timetravel’ aspect in a different way. Well, it was just an idea! Guess we’ll have to see if Kim does have a power.

ahhh i didnt mean to put it like that, i meant hiro’s power of both time travelling and stopping time. although i think its abit stupid of them to mention “if he just thinks about people and how he’s feeling he can control his whole power that way.” i mean unless his power has gone all wacky again and takes him to anywhere like early seasons, then he obviously has to think of where he wants to go to go there.

yep thats what he said but i’m guessing he meant noah since he was standing there aswell. it looked like peter was using the speedster move which we all know (well if youve seen the sneak peak) that noah was present at.

Meanwhile we still don’t know if it was actually Baby Matt who gave him his ability back, and if this is the case, whether or not regaining his power from a baby touch had anything to do with his illness (body rejecting the ability as Suresh hypothesized)

I’m looking forward to get these answers in the coming weeks.

@F.D… I dunno about travelling to places/ times he’s already been to, it WOULD be a bit pointless – not to mention, there’s more of a risk of upsetting the continuum if he can only revisit the past! I guess if he needs to focus on someone to at least teleport it would make sense, but that would limit him too much in a way that doesn’t need to be, IMO… I liked the ‘Battle of the Twelve Swords’ trick he pulled.

What you were saying about the image thing… was it you, or gotay or someone, that came up with the idea some time back about ‘Spirit Walking’ through time? In other words, rather than physically jump to the past, Hiro could instead SpiritWalk into the past to view it like when Usutu gave him that delicious paste I thought that was a cool idea that could work, if there was ever a danger of the time travel element of the show being scrapped… and he could take on the superhero name of ‘Flashback’ lol!

RE: now i remember her role in the GN..she just uses her martial arts/kung-fu skills to beat them up..and ando knocked them out by fluke (this was before he got his power as well) so theres no proof she may have powers :S

the hidden agenda is that she is lesbo, hiro is trying to timetravel back to save charlie? n doesnt he some how encounter sylar? i forgot. i dunno if its kimiko that will give hir back his power,

Heroes stars Masi Oka (Hiro Nakamura) and Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet) spoke with reporters on a conference call Friday, in which CBR News participated. The actors spoke about college life, terminal illness, and the shorter season that begins September 21.
For Masi Oka, season four of “Heroes” finds his character dealing with a terminal illness. While not entirely clear last year, Oka said having a time travel companion brought it on. “Hiro let someone into his world. The first time he stopped time while touching someone — in that case, it was Ando — that was first time he froze time with someone else in that freeze-time world,” the actor explained. “That was started the adverse effect in Hiro’s brain. The power is meant to have a capacity of one. When you start adding Ando, Suresh, and other people into that world, it just a strain that’s put on Hiro’s brain.” The effect is irreversible and leads Hiro on a journey.
While the actor admitted he did not prepare by studying how people respond to the news of a terminal condition, Oka did admit his mother had a breast cancer scare. “Just talking to my mom and what she had to go through kind of helped me prepare and understand,” Oka said. “There’s no way to fully understand what an illness does to someone or emotional state or physical state it puts you in, but to show respect.” Oka added that he has not modeled his performance on a particular degenerative or terminal disease. “If I was a good actor, I would’ve done that,” he joked.
“[Claire] is in college with a new best friend and roommate,” said Panettiere of Claire Bennett’s life for the year. While the actress is uncertain if Claire will be in college throughout the year, the setting introduces something the character has not had since the first season: a close friend. “She’s finally got what Zach was: a confidant. Somebody she can tell her secrets to; who she can trust,” Panettiere revealed. “That’s a very delicate balance that can easily fall apart and one little misstep and her dad will bring Rene the Haitian to wipe their memories.”
This character, Gretchen, is played by Madeline Zima. The show will even allude to sexual confusion for Claire due to the closeness of the relationship. “There’s a little bit of a flirting with the whole, ‘Are we friends? Are we more? Do I have feelings for you in that way?’” Panettiere explained. “Where exactly it’s going, I have no idea.”
Oka joked, “The two key words are ‘flirting’ and ‘roommate.’”
Meanwhile, the two-man act of Hiro and Ando will change with the coming year. “Unfortunately, it gets broken up because Ando gets married,” Oka said. While Ando’s marriage to Hiro’s sister will make them brothers in some sense, their current situations put them on different paths. “You have that great happy news and Hiro sacrificing himself to make sure other people lives are happy.”
Asked if Ando getting powers changed the relationship, Oka said it made them closer partners. “It always changes, but once Ando got his powers, it was more equal footing.” Using a comic book analogy, the actor said, “It wasn’t more of a Batman and Robin; it became more of a Batman and Superman. There’s something to be said to be said about the familiarity of the characters and what the audience wants and expects, but we want the characters to grow.”
Looking back on the four years of “Heroes” thus far, Panettiere never guessed the show or her character would go to the places it has. “We’ve gone to the future and back again. We’ve gone to the past. We’ve gone all over the world. We’ve become good and bad,” she reflected. “I think there’s nothing but excitement that we all get from that. Especially being a show for hour years, you want nothing but spontaneity and change.”
When asked if the actors feel territorial about the characters, Oka replied, “You definitely care about your character because you wear it and you’re associated to it.” At the same time, he understands a professional actor working in television is generally not the author of a role. “This character is not necessarily your property. It is the property of Tim Kring and NBC/Universal — and of the audience as well.”
Sometimes, Panettiere admited, the audience can be a little scary. “I just got a box to my house for my birthday [from a fan].” The package contained body lotions and dog toys. It also contained a note from the fan. “And she wrote things in it like, ‘I’m so glad I’m able to call you friend,’ things that were basically saying that she knew me and I have idea who it is. When it gets that close to home, it gets a little nerve-wracking.”
This year, “Heroes” will have a nineteen-episode season. Previously, the program had seasons running as long as twenty-five episodes, though its second season was significantly shorter due to the writers strike that year. Oka said the reduced episode order has been “fantastic.” “Nineteen [episodes] allows you to be creatively tight. It makes every episode so packed with story, character development and action.”
Oka admitted it is nice for the cast and particularly the crew to have the work over a longer stretch. However, the actor believes the longer seasons lead to filler episodes. “You don’t just dilute an episode, but an entire storyline,” he explained. Unlike the shortened second season, planning for few episodes allows the show to have a sense of pace. “Knowing that we nineteen allows everybody, especially the writers and creators, to come up with that perfect arc.”
Finally, asked if Hiro’s illness would prove to be fatal, Panettiere responded, “Can you imagine ‘Heroes’ without Hiro? I can’t!” Oka said. “It would be a bold move.” He then dubbed the Nathan Petrelli character the “Heroes” version of “South Park’s” Kenny, and joked, “I can guarantee that Nathan Petrelli will die this season finale … every season finale, Nathan will die.”

Okay, good, I live in Norway, and here season 4 will probably air in 6 months or something, and I can’t wait for so long, so it would be great if you streamed it.

did another email to bbc and they got back to me within 3 hrs (jeeeez last time it was a whole month), they’ve not dropped heroes infact they have already brought the rights to season 4 though they said that it might be an even longer wait but to not worry as at some point they will be showing it.
Now in the uk the sci-fi channel have also shown heroes and as i’m having to switch to digital in nov, i’ve sent them an email as well, any bets on how long til they reply ?
