The first hour saw 9.9 million viewers, scoring a 4.9 preliminary adults 18-49 rating and earning a 12 share, ranking second in the 9 p.m. hour behind ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. It came in second at 10 p.m. to CBS CSI: Miami debut. The Countdown to the Premiere special (6 million, 2.6/7) placed third in the 8pm hour.
The critically panned second season and the writer’s strike obviously had their effect.

Only 40 minutes here ( 3rd episode ) and it’s finished
I thought it was too much change too fast… It was sort of a let down.
…All the time traveling is creating too many plot holes.
…Sylar’s mom is Angela Patrelli? Is this for real?
…Nathan Patrelli is suddenly the most religious man in the world?
…Hiro just happened to travel to the future where he saw himself and future Ando duke it out? With Hiro’s death so anti-climatic?
…Angela Patrelli’s dream sequence was lame.
…Tracy Strauss? Is that how you manage to keep Ali Larter’s contract intact?
…Mohinder Suresh’s subplot? Are you kidding me? Didn’t I see that in a movie with Jeff Goldbloom (The Fly)?
…The methods of which the powers work (through adrenaline) is sort of a let down and anti-climatic. And it’s pretty obvious that the formula is some formula the first generation created in order to give people super powers. However, that doesn’t explain Adam Monroe’s power…
Maybe right now I’m just being a bit nit picky. It was just too much, too fast. But all complaining aside, it wasn’t bad. It just caught me off guard! It was actually a good start to the season.
I give it a 7 out of 10.
At least there was no Monica and Micah!

i thought it was amazing so cool and sylar was the third child so he is a peterelli thats so cool i figured so because his powers are exactly like peters. but now what where will it go from here, especially with the real peter trapped in someone elses body and what is the power of that body they wont tell on the show all they said was you dont want to know what he can do well i do and cant wait for next weeks show to premier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ive always hated his character/storyline… i was sooo grateful they took out his wife from the equation… but then molly… bleh… bullshit…

he is simply that naive peter from season one… aged 4yrs with more powers.

3rd episode of season premiere. First Episode was S03E0 ( season 1 and 2 recap, countdown party, introducing characters)
Wow, just finished watching them….I just have to say wow. I give it 9 out of 10. It was totally fantastic especially the 1st 3 mins of chapter 1.
The part between Matt and Utusu was hilarious, especially when Utusu said “Why are you talking to a tortoise?” Lmao.
It was kind of scary to see the escaped villains are indeed brutal, killing people for fun.
Hiro and Ando teleporting around the world to chase Daphne is exciting too!
Perhaps the only part I do not like about the first 2 episodes was the Mohinder-Maya storyline. First, Mohinder has super power, then, he became spiderman, and finally, he starts shedding skin.
Bob died, oh yeah! Sylar killed him, oh no! Sylar gets more powers, and if it wasn’t for Elle’s exploding electricity, Sylar would have gotten one more. One negative point- Villains escaped.
It was scary but interesting to see Tracy’s power manifest, freezing the man(reporter?) and then seeing him crack in pieces. Niki is officially dead?
Once again, a 4.5 star premiere!

ok… my jaw freaking dropped when i learned that future peter, shoot present nathan.. WTF??? Angela= Sylar’s Mom WTF??? The thing with clarie and sylar was kinda funny.. “are you gonna eat it?” that was hilarous.
Whats going on with Nikki/ Jessica??? I don’t think “Gracie” was Nikki but possibly Jessica or even a third personality. OMG! It was great.
We know that Mohinder and Mya were gonna get it on… but who knew that Mohinder was fit… : ) omg!
Nathan now a holy roller WTF??? and what was up with Clarie’s Mom and Clarie after Sylar left… “did he??? … NO MOM” ROTFLMAO!

Wow, there were quite a few HOLY **** moments there weren’t there. Despite the fact everyone here knew future Peter shot Nathan, I’m sure the rest of the world got a nice little surprise.
I think Claire is going to have an interesting season.
I don’t know what’s up with Matt, but it could turn out to be very cool

And that one scene with the villains stealing that car was awesome. The flame guy was torching someone, the German is basically Magneto. And Peter is trapped in this guy Jesse’s body? Oh man…
Not only that, but Adam and Maury were up and about, in a dream sequence anyway, right there with Tracy and Knox. I wonder why Nathan wasn’t in that sequence….that’s Angela’s power too. Always kind of knew it, but nice to be told I’m right.

I think Heroes might be either believing its own hype or catering to the demands of critics. (Because it worked so well for George Lucas?) Mohinder (Jeff Goldbloom) or Spider Mohinder… Yes, that was brilliant of him. And why did that get his libido racing?
Is DL the only one that is going to stay dead? Or is Isaac still dead? WTF is up with everyone not dying? If no one will die on the show, it is a waste. The stories that stress us out, or make us watch is the drama and suspense.
I like Nikki/Jessica and I like Ali Larter, and the fact that she could be the same or a different person is an interesting story, but really?
I liked future Peter shooting Nathan (called that right away) but staying there and throwing present Peter into a convict guy? That is weird.
I love the character of Mrs. Petrelli more now though, as we don’t really see what motivates her, and it could be better than we believe. She seems to me a zealot, willing to do anything to keep “the future” safe.
I did love that “thank you turtle” scene.
I thought the episodes were pretty good. I kinds already knew what was going to happen from reading all of these spoilers. Anyways I done think angela is actually sylar’s mom. I’m pretty sure she has the power to manipulate people, so she’s gonna make sylar think that’s his mom, wich is gonna make him turn good. So that’s why he’s gonna later partner up with hrg to help get the escaped villains back to level 5. I know nobody likes Micah and monica but I’m just curious why they havent shown anything at all about their story. And what ever happened to wes?? Heroes has a lot of explaining to do… And Ali larter is the best, I don’t care who she plays. She’ll always be the goods!!
Wow this show was so fast paced hard to keep up with.I loved sylar wow Angela his mom Peter will be his bro to cool.Those villians sure are scary thow,Poor present peter he is lost how the heck did future peter do that anyways.Is Linderman dead and a ghost to Nathen or is he invisable ?Wow i guess Mohinder has always longed for these powers he sure was gonna kick some butt.I give it a 8 out of 10.Alot of action now I’m ready for some slower pace for a bit.So glad it’s back on yay!!!!

Actually I didn’t find it funny really it was a realistic question. Strange man in the house, ripping it apart and terrorizing a very attractive young woman. Her mom comes how to find her bloodied and crying, then Claire goes all silent and broody, and is unwilling to say exactly what happened. Then Claire tells her he got what he came for. What else is a mother supposed to think? It was actually a pretty disturbing thought. But anyway I LOVE THIS EFFING SHOW.
Claire is my absolute favorite. Honestly a whole show could revolve around the depth of her power and emotion. With Sylar as the arch enemy of course! Hehehehe.

I think they may be trying too hard, moving a little too fast. So fast, in fact, that they are creating their own plot holes. The fans want more action? Well let’s give them tons of action, and so what if continuity and logic go out the window?
Peter’s storyline is pretty nice. Time travel is always fun, but you must be careful. We don’t want to the writers to write themselves into a corner. I was a bit disappointed in Hiro’s jaunt to the future. He goes into the future, to the exact spot he and Ando are standing, and it just so happens that he lands there exactly at the time his future self and Ando are fighting it out. Too neat. Too convenient.
And what’s with HRG bringing in Claire’s mom? She was never part of the company (in fact they thought her dead for like, 15 years,) and last we saw her she was just a gold digging, flaky lady who happened to be able to make fire. Now all the sudden she’s brought in to protect the family and teach Claire how to fight? Unless she can teach Claire how to make fire with her hands, I don’t see what she has to contribute other than creating tension between Claire and her adoptive mommy.
Nathan’s storyline is interesting, but I’m calling it now…Linderman isn’t back, and neither is his spirit or whatever. It’s just Maury Parkman messing with Nathan’s head for whatever reason.
Claire can’t feel pain, can’t die and is depressed about this? I have a bad leg and a limp for life. Wanna trade? So she’s gonna live forever. Do we have to listen to her whine about it forever?
As far as Nikki/Jessica/Tracy…whatever. Never liked Ali’s character(s), and I don’t like this one. Ms. Larter must have a watertight contract.
I really liked the scene between Elle and Angela. That was some great stuff. We’ve all known (or at least suspected) that Sylar was a Petrelli for a while now, so that wasn’t really a bombshell. It certainly wasn’t the proper “cliffhanger” to end the show on. I will say that Sylar’s new ability (he seems to be either traveling through reflective materials like glass and mirrors, or maybe through shadows) is cool as hell. Sylar rocks. The crux of this show is going to eventually be a throwdown with Peter and Sylar, and I’m fine with that, as long as they don’t wuss out like they did in the season one finale.
The verdict is still out on the whole Mohinder storyline. It could be cool, but it would certainly be cooler if Maya wasn’t around. I liked it the first time I saw it, when it was called “The Fly.”
Overall, I think we are seeing a knee jerk reaction from the makers of the show. They are coming off kind of desperate. They know the second season was bad, and are trying to give the people what they want, but they seemed to have jumped from one end of a spectrum all the way to the other, when they need to be somewhere in the middle. Characters just seem to be acting…well…out of character.

i must say this were soem very good episodes but it would ov been more better if i hadnt subscribed to this site becuase i sortta new what was going to happen with everything so it wasnt like omg did u c that
OMG, the premiere was craaazy, I loved every scene of it! If this show was cake, I’d be a fat man right about now, that’s how good this show is. One of the best shows on television in my opinion. Bad thing about the show is, I have to wait a whole week for the new episodes….ARGH!!!!

I want to say a few of you need to take a closer look.
Angela is not Sylar’s mom, Sylar is not a petrelli. She is just going to be a mother figure to him. The petrelli who will be revealed in the future will be the dad…
Sylar does not have the power to move through shadows and glass. That was just reflections and stuff, and cool camera shots, he was walking just like everyone else.
Linderman is dead, and I think the person who said Maury is messing with him is close. I think Future Peter did it to Nathan. That’s why he said, “You may not understand everything i did, but i’m sorry.” He also must have healed Nathan… I think.
Here is a neat idea about Ali Larter. It’s not Niki/Jessica (she did die in the fire) it’s the real Jessica. Niki thought jessica died, but she actually ran away from home. She may have left that life behind, she may or may not remember, but it being the actual jessica explains her having a new power.
And I think we will see Micah and Monica again soon. The Level 5 guys are going to New Orleans I think, and Monica and Micah will have to deal with them.
And just wait on the Hiro thing, F Hiro knows that P Hiro will be coming to the future at that time, so he may have been coming to talk to himself, before being confronted by Ando. It is early, but we will slowly startgetting all the answers to don’t write things out too quickly.
As for Maya, she is now the only one capable of dealing with Sylar…
WOW!! I love heroes. I haven’t missed an episode but I am sort of confused. It was all great. I think Maya and mohinder is crazy. I’m not real fond of Maya. Has mohinder always been fit or is that a side affect from the injection. I think angela is just pretending to be sylar’s mother. what was gong on at the end with the villains? was that future or present peter? why doesn’t n e 1 like micah? i think they are going to be back soon. if sylar has claire’s power now why is he having problems healing?

Sylar is not the third child!! There is no third child.. Angela’s power is to manipulate people’s minds and to see the future!!
Besides that..
I am a bit disappointed at how things are going though… There is way too much going on in the series and things are just happening way too fast.. If they would slow down and concentrate on maybe 3 heroes an episode maybe we can get a good grip on things.
But besides that fact I believe that they are doing really well. There are many plot holes in Heroes.. But hell, aren’t there always many plot holes in other TV shows. I love how the future Peter is in the present now! And I love how the characters are developing now. Sylar is such a bad ass. I just hope that the creators don’t spin too out of control and lose grip on these wonderfully colorful characters. I also hope that both Heroes and Villians will all team up in the end and end the season with a beautiful hero battle.
I kind of agree with the people that say Angela is not Sylar’s actual mother. She most likely meant that in a figurative sense, but it could be true, we will see.
I like the idea that Maury Parkman is behind Nathan seeing Linderman, but Matt seemed to have taken care of his dad last season. Wasn’t he being held somewhere in the Company’s headquarters, not to mention trapped in the mind prison thing that Matt locked him in? He could have been behind it, but someone would have to let him out first. Probably not him.
I don’t like MohinderFly, it’s obvious that besides seriously messing with his body, that injection screwed up his mind too. Him and Maya? Unnecessary.
The German is basically Magneto, I think somebody said that earlier, and they were right. Still, can’t blame them for ripping that one off, it’s a sweet ability.
I read elsewhere on this site that perhaps Tracy is the third sister of a set of Triplets, with Niki and Jessica being the other two. That seems like a good theory to me.
Sylar moving through mirrors and shadows and whatever? Nope, don’t think so.

-and does Sylar have Candice’s ability? His ability is to know how things work, and that’s how he gets other abilities, but when he killed Candice he was infected with a virus that disables him to use his or any other ability. So that means he couldn’t have gotten Candice’s or Alejandro’s ability.
-Sylar killed that Charlie girl. Still, he doesn’t seem to use her ability. Does He have it but is not using it, Did the writers forgot about it, or they know about it but still won’t “let” Sylar use it for some unknown reasons??? What about Sylars other powers???

In response to the post above, Peter DOES have Angela’s ability and Molly’s and Niki’s. Even in this episode, Angela says to Peter “Where do you think you got your first ability, the dreams? From me.” And he has used Niki’s strength several times. He hasn’t specifically used Molly’s ability, but it is there. I actually think that that is how Adam Monroe and Peter found Victoria Pratt.
I think Sylar should have Candice’s ability. He couldn’t absorb the power, but he still witnessed the information. That’s up to the writers really though.
It does seem like Sylar ignores a lot of abilities he is supposed to have. He killed the big lady with the super-hearing, so shouldn’t he have expected a few of those attacks from Claire? Also, he killed James Walker…what ability was it!?!?
Also, I always thought the dreams of Peter’s were from Charles Deveaux because of the same where he asks Charles “Is this a dream? Are you doing this?” and Charles says “It doesn’t matter, now does it…” I guess Charles just knew he took Angela’s ability, but then what ability did Charles have?
Did somebody notice that Sylar used some new power to catching Claire? It was shadow camouflage or something like that.
sylar has a powers that i can’t figure out where they came from. Peter too but i think that is b/c he is from the future and the storyline has not got that far. exactly what is the butterfly affect?
the first two episode were good and for all you people who are asking about watching heroes online, it’s on youtube. there were al lot of jaw-dropping scenes even though i knew what would have happen in some scenes.
I loved it! I give it a 9.5/10. The part with Claire and Sylar was amazing, but overall I deffo preferred the second part more than the first - mainly because of ELLE!
The potential for Monica’s character is great, but they misused it in Volume 2. I can understand their apprehension for using her this volume
As for Mya, she only just arrived in NY and already got a scintillating wardrobe?!!! Not that I am complaining…
I am pretty sure that the story will slow down a bit. We got reintroduced with a bang to reassure us after the long break, but there must be a purpose to Villains…
I personally do not think it is simplistic that it has to do with adrenaline… In the end it is still genetics that determine whether one is a ‘hero’ or not… It could very well be that Suresh unlocked the formula for himself though it looks like it is not stable, but it makes sense that the injection increased his libido… Mya did give it up very easy… If only that was real life and here in my flat……..
As for mama Petrelli, I am pretty sure something made her the way she is. Probably because there is an absolute evil out there that we do not know yet. It would explain why the Founders are all a bit shady. With her ability to dream she must know tough decisions have to be made to avoid catastrophe…
Finally on Nathan, I believe he may have another ability than just flight. Perhaps his close shaves with death have allowed him to communicate with the already deceased or something like that. It would explain the Linderman situation.
I am pleased with the start but will have to wait how the story develops to make a full comment on delivery of expectations…
great show. i did not read any of the spoliers before, but not a whole lot seemed THAT suprising. Future Peter shotting Nathan, Mrs. P being evil, Sylar getting Claires power, and Mrs. P might be Sylars mommy were not overly suprising, but they were still cool.
the things that were suprising were the whole Nikki/Tracy/Jess thingy going on, which i happen to find super interesting and ’spider-suresh’.
I know alot of ppl dont like monica and micha and molly being in the mix…but i really want to know what the deal with them is…..also nikki.
Finally, i dont like Mya much….but if she can find a way to completly control her power by herself (for example…she could kill a person by focusing on them and not kill everyone else around her) then i think she could be a really cool and dynamic character.

I have to give a…9.7. Loved every bit of it EXCEPT the whole Mohinder/Spider-man thing he had. Very strange concept, but I want to see how it plays out in future episodes. I also didn’t like what happened to Matt. again, strange concept, but would like to see where it goes from here. My last complaint was just the scenes with Nathan going all Jesus-lover. I get it, he was saved, but that just doesn’t go with the character.
I know a lot of people hate on her, but I want to see some more Maya action, maybe to the point were she can develop her powers so that she can do so much more…
Love angela…and as Sylar’s mom! I don’t think anyone expected that.
Tracy? would like to think that she’s another Sanders sister, lost at child birth or something like that… and her power is pretty badass.
The star of this episode(s), volume, season, and pretty much the whole damn show is Sylar. All of the parts he was in just kept me in suspense.

however i could be wrong, but over at imdb… he has not filmed an episode this season…

however he does have HUGE potential to return later… maybe next year… once his a bit older, and a bit more bitter about his mothers death, at the hands of the company.
after all… all these heroes, still rely on the need for technology, which micah can use to his advantage.

Last night was pretty awesome. Nathan and Peter’s dad alive is crazy. something is up though. I can’t believe Peter doesn’t have any powers. Elle and Claire was weird but made sense but it is not surprising Elle turned on Claire at Pinehearst. The run in of all of Claire’s parents was totally kool. It had to happen eventually. Are Nathan and Nikki a thing or not? I am blanking on names all of a sudden…idk why i guess because i am sick so i’ll leave it here for now.
BTW Micah was in one of this season’s episodes. I think he could have real potential.
