Broadcasting is over.

Heroes has became the symbol of NBC’s problems as a network. Is it fair? Although I really like season 3, and the way story is progressing I think getting new producers in place can revitalize the writing of the show, bring a new discipline to the series that will silence critics.

Though, this probably won’t be answered this episode, I’ve been thinking.

Anybody else notice how Claire lost her ability to feel pain after Sylar ripped her head open. Same goes for Elle. After Sylar started tearing her forehead, she lost control of her powers, which now ends up channeling in her system. Maybe Sylar has an effect on people related to his intuitive aptitude. Could Sylar possibly cause others to lose control of their powers? Just been doing some extensive brainstorming on some of the more subtle questions Season 3 presented, because I believe they will lead to the answer as to what Sylar’s true power is. The only missing link in this theory is Angela. I know Sylar never cut her head open, but Peter did. Peter aquired Sylar’s ability; so he should have taken the effect he induces as well. True, she begins to experience erratic dreams and is unable to wake, but that is not my concern. The problem is that we have no idea how Angela used her powers previous to her comatose state. We know that she is still able to enter other people’s dreams, but she is unable to wake from her own. Maybe they can only lose so much control. If I am right about this, then maybe Elle wouldn’t simply be able to use Claire’s blood to remedy her situation as there is nothing to heal, which would suggest more of a structuring problem. This may be what Angela seeks from Sylar to aid her in her fight against Arthur and co. This could really make for one interesting Season depending on which side Sylar swings to.

Personally I think Heroes is what’s RIGHT with NBC! I think the suits expect way too much. It’s still doing well with the 18-34 crowd and I’m thinking a lot of folks have given up on TV between the writers’ Stike and the fact that a lot of folks probably don’t have cable. I suspect some folks just don’t watch TV so much because they can’t afford the converter boxes.

Now as for episode 8, that was everything I love about Heroes, everything interconnected and overlapping. I loved how the Meredith, Flint, and Thompson story dovetailed into Claire with the train. I rewatced the scene where Meredith was talking to Flint when she was putting the metal guy in Cell 9 and I know Flint said “An invisible man tackled me in the alley.” Now Claude was MIA and presumed Dead at this point and according to his Company File, Claude is the only one they know of with invisibility, so if Claude did tackle Flint, it certainly wasn’t to help the Company as he’s shown time and again and it’s documented in his profile that Claude has rejected them. It’s also possible someone with telekinesis got Flint and it felt like someone tackling him. Also, other than Meredith, Thompson is not shown with a partner. Very strange.

I liked insight into the Petrelli clan, and Linderman. Linderman actually seems like a decent guy. I know Arthur has to have stolen that telepathic command trick from someone as his primary power is power absorption/stealing-permanent. I’m also curious why the Haitian (he so needs a name, and if I’m told it’s Barn LeCroix I’ll eat my hat!) is so loyal to Angela.

I can totally see how Elle felt sorry for Sylar and HRG is back as the loyal Company man we recall so well. I can also postulate that after that Assignment, Elle likely got both benched and disciplined (which accounts for this character’s absence until season 2) and also why she’s so driven in both Seasons 2 and 3 to catch Sylar… she feels responsible for helping create him as a monster.

I’m wondering why Arthur just killed Utusu. Surely he could steal his power. I’m thinking it’s a good thing Ando has no power as he would be a target also.

The thing is why did Arthur kill Usutsu, but didn’t kill Hiro?
Seems to me he’s just gonna mess up with his head and use him.

Hey all,

I’m currently doing research about the general opinion of the iPad. What do you think about it?

It seems like not everyone is thrilled about the iPad. They say the iPad has been hyped too much by Apple and it’s not nearly as revolutionary as they make us believe it to be.
On the other hand there people can’t wait to get their hands on it.

What do you think about the iPad and it’s features? I will collect some of the input and write a nice article about it!
