I would qualify this as a major spoiler for season 3, so read on at your own risk.
Gee, well, I don’t have much to tell, other than the fact that in the first three minutes one of the lead heroes is going to bust a cap off at one of the other lead heroes. And oh yeah, the guy she pulls the trigger on just might be the guy she’s playing tonsil hockey with in real life. She also tells him (on cam), “I always loved you.” Whaaa?! Figured it out? I know you have, so discuss in the comments below! Oh, and even more shocking? We’re gonna see Claire-bear with dark hair and this also involves a shift in time. So very Lostalicious, no?
Claire shoots Peter? And tells him she loves him!?!
Theories? Here’s one…
Future Peter and Claire come to the past for opposite purposes, this Peter, who is evil, plots to kill his brother Nathan. Claire, on the other hand, is trying to save her father’s life. Claire contacts Nathan before the press conference and warns him what’s gonna happen, and he wears a vest as protection. After Peter shoots Nathan and he walks off, Claire confronts him, and after some dialogue shoots at him.

True, Bruno. But remember, the future in “5 Years Gone” is going to be a different (alternate) future to the one that this Future Peter has come from (since the explosion never happened. Obviously the future that Nathan caused must have been bleak and dangerous enough to turn Peter into the (Future) man he becomes. But to just kill his brother without thinking of the alternatives? Was there really no other way Pete?!?
If he was that angry at Big Bro, he could have at least kicked his ass, called him an idiot, and told him to keep his mouth shut, don’t tell a soul… Killing him just seems a bit drastic and final to me.
Maybe there is a perfectly logical explanation…?
Mybe Future Peter knows something about Nathan’s resurrection I certainly hope so, because I find hard to believe that Peter would change so much that he would be willing to kill his so beloved brother…
You could be right. It would make sense, him triggering the resurrection sooner AND stopping the revelation at the same time. (It’s all starting to sound kinda Biblical now, isn’t it?)
What’s up with Nathan’s resurrection anyway? Seen him on a clip, just sitting up suddenly in the hospital with Peter after dying. But then again, I hear that (the also resurrected?) Linderman has something to do with it. Huh???
Acording to an interview with Adrian (Nathan) the exact way of how he resurrected is up to interpretation of the viewers that may meen there’s some mystery behind his survival
Bruno, I’m wondering if the solution to Nathan’s survival may be the same as how Claude survived Noah shooting him.
You lost me there…actually I always wondered how Claude survived that you know how?
Bruno, all I have is a crazy theory, involving Linderman…
Tarot, I’m all about crazy theories so go ahed I would like to know what you think…
Wait, she’s writing it
I always wanted to open theories section on here… hmmmmm
What I had theorized was that Linderman, who can heal, had access to knowlege of the future other than Isaac’s paintings and knew that if Peter didn’t have a reason, he wouldn’t have stayed in NYC… He probably also knew that Claude would get “Fired”… so he waits until Bennet leaves then shows up and heals Claude from the gunshots and tells him he’s on his own, knowing full well Claude will go into hiding only to be found in NYC 7 years later by someone who can copy his invisibility.
Hmm… you’re right, Tarot: that IS a crazy theory! But, it does actually have some crazy logic to it… and somehow makes sense! Linderman was, amongst other things, something of a strategist, and it is proven that he calculated, planned for, and manipulated many situations involving our heroes (Nathan’s landslide victory, DL and Niki and Micah, etc). He didn’t leave much to Chance if he could help it. And with knowledge of the future (by way of Isaac’s paintings AND, as we now realise, Angela’s predictive dreams – how long have they known about all the events playing out? – and possibly other characters with a similar ability) he must have been playing a very interesting game of Chess for decades now.
One problem with your crazy theory… Linderman wanted the bomb to go off in NYC. If he knew Claude might have been able to train Peter into having some control of his powers, would he really have saved Claude and taken such a big risk with his plan backfiring? There must have been other ways to keep Peter in NYC but keep him untrained so he would be more likely to lose it and explode.
s.k.74 , the other part to that is that Linderman likely knew Claude would not stay long enough to finish Peter’s training. Linderman probably had something to do with HRG (Noah Bennet) and the Haitian going after Peter and Claude. Granted, when HRG got the call from Isaac, he imediately thought of his ex-Comapny Partner, but I did notice that both the Haitian and HRG were armed with tasers not regular guns. HRG left his gun with Isaac in case PETER showed up, which means, at the least, someone now wanted Claude taken alive. Interesting when you consider that 7 years prior to that they had ordered HRG to kill Claude.
I just remembered something that has always bothered me in “Company Man” in the scene where Noah confronts Claude in the bridge when bennet first shoots Claude his expression always looked to me like it was an accident, his expression was totally “Oh my god!..” but then he shoots him more! People see the episode again and please tell me if his face isn’t totally surprised
I always took that surprise as Bennet on some level not believing he was capable of shooting his friend. I know the look was intentional on Jack Coleman’s part. He referenced “Of Mice and Man” when he talked about that scene.
First of all, I love my uncles too. And what most everyone seems to be forgetting is that Peter and Claire have had a really tight connection from the beginning. He saved her life(from Syler), he got her power which saved him at the same time(when they fell at the school), THEN she found out that he was family, THEN she saved his life again (the glass in his head), THEN he found out she was family. THEN they were just there for each other, you could just FEEL the connection.. Of course they love one another. I’d love a stranger who saved my life once let alone twice.
I love hearing everyone’s opinions of what is going to happen. I can’t wait til tomorrow night!
