Linderman, Dead or Alive?

by Matej ( Heroes Television)

Brea Grant who plays Daphne, the speedy thief, had an interview with CBR where she revealed some spoilers.

The most interesting is one when she said:

“I got to work with Malcolm McDowell and it was amazing,” she said. “He’s so cool and has about a million stories. He’s also the ultimate bad guy. He’s so evil that it’s cool.”
Grant confirmed the scene does take place in the present.

Linderman was also mentioned in spoilers about Niki/Tracy

There has to be a tie between Niki and Tracy in there somewhere, and if you want to know exactly how, email Mr. Linderman, because he knows, and I think he might be the mastermind behind the whole switcheroo..

Also, she talked about her role in Season 3:

When asked is she disappointed because she’s not playing a hero, Brea emarked : “It’s always more fun being a villain.”

“I wouldn’t say that deep down she’s a terrible person or anything,” said Grant. “She’s no Sylar but she’s a thief. I think in the end she’s sort of an innocent. She’s been a thief for a long time, she’s been on her own and had to take care of herself. Now all of the sudden she is faced with these people who have these much bigger issues at stake and that’s going to change the way she reacts to things. But my character has many turns throughout the season. There is much to look forward to.”

Hmmm…It takes place in the present. Might it be Maury creating an illusion and playing tricks? Also, I remembered reading a spoiler here that says Nathan can sort of see dead people. Well, Linderman is dead isn’t he? :D

I think its cos Nathan & Linderman were close, not just cos of the election thing but Linderman was good friends with his father Arthur Petrelli. Nathan knows that Linderman can heal things, ie Heidi. So therefore he will have dreams of him…flashes before his eyes kinda thing. & in later episodes, Linderman will be seen with Arthur Petrelli in flashbacks as Malcolm McDowell will be around for 5 episodes.

It may seem like they are telling us a lot, but just imagine what they HAVEN’T told us….

It could be that Linderman is dead and that the Daphne character is refering to the past. We all know that they do flashbacks for characters often during a season.

linderman alive thats great…what i’m about say is a bit far fetched but lets linderman never died that after DL had supposedly killed him, he was healed by adams blood…far fetched ne? but nothing is ever far fetched on heroes

yeah… that whole blood trick…

i sure wish they didnt go that way…
or else Isaak should still be alive and well… after all his work was most appreciated by the company… or maybe just Lindermen

linderman. linderman. linderman. malcom sure did a great part that the ultimate reaso tim brought him back but the reason he’s back in heroes land . im not sure maybe it was adams ’s blood or maybe linderman’s power is so great that he healed hinself almost the same way adam or clair it just took a little longer because of the way his power works.

what do you think!

If he cloned Niki, he could have definitely cloned himself…..just a guess…..

Wait a minute! Remember Season 1, when DL fought Niki/Jessica in the house after discovering she stole the money and set him up? Remember how he phased his hand into her and grabbed her heart, but it didn’t kill her – in pretty much the same way that he phased his hand into Linderman’s head and grabbed his brain? What if he didn’t actually kill Linderman? He didn’t actually REMOVE his brain did he?

Who was the one that said that Linderman was dead – wasn’t it Angela that told Nathan? I don’t exactly trust Angela as far as I could throw her (and I wouldn’t use TK or Super Strength either). I know that the Company as a whole (i.e. Bob, etc) say that Linderman is dead, but I don’t trust them either – they have their own agenda and rules which they believe is ‘for the greater good’ blahblahblah… C’mon, when Mohinder said to Bob at the start of Season 2 that “Sylar is dead”, Bob allowed him to believe that, even though he knew full well that Sylar was alive (just about) and with Candice/ Michelle.

Sounds pretty far out, I know, but what if Linderman was never as dead as we thought? It’s like that good ole true-to-comic-book cliche:
Q: “It can’t be… you’re dead!”
A: “I got better.”

(Or, even better, the Sylar/Peter exchange):
Sylar: “Didn’t I kill you?”
Peter: “It didn’t take!”

Another Crazy Theory (which is probably completely wrong, but hey – it makes more realistic sense to me than ‘The Ghost/ Clone/ Resurrection of Linderman’. Anyone want to support or trash this theory?

Helloooo…o…o… Is anybody else out there… there… there…???? (Tumbleweed rolls past…)

This is spooky. Feels like the movie ‘28 Days Later’. Am I the only person in the world on the internet at the moment?

s.k.74, I only just got up. I work nightshift. You could be onto something with those theories. Also, you left out a reference to one of my favorite characters on this show that was believed to be dead:

HRG (On phone to Isaac): It means on old friend isn’t quite as dead as we thought he was. [referring to Claude]

s.k.74 September 10, 2008 at 4:43 pm

Hey, Tarot, how you doin’!

I thought I DID refer to Claude (in a roundabout kind of way) when I said “what if Linderman was never as dead as we thought?”…

That particular phrase would only ring true to a die hard fan of the show (and of Claude) like yourself. Therefore it was an “invisible reference” (geddit?)

Well, that’s my excuse anyway, and I’m sticking with it.
