Is Mohinder Going Somewhere?

According to Michael Ausiello’s daily column at TV Guide, Tim Kring is looking for new narrator for season 3 (narrator is the voice that usually opens and closes each episode of Heroes ). Mohinder was has been that voice for the last two seasons.

“Someone may be moving in on Mohinder’s narrator turf. Tim Kring is said to be seeking an Australian Aboriginal actor in his fifties to appear in multiple episodes as a storyteller with great wisdom and a soft, soothing voice.”

I personally don’t think that this change is needed at all, why changing something which was never complained about? To be honest, that was something which I always liked in series. What do you think?

Thanks to ODI for letting me know!

Why are they replacing Mohinder with a new narrator? Mohinder was great for that job and Mohinder does have a swave voice so Why? No one was complaining about Mohinder being a narrator.

vancher, I think they may be going with a “Dream Time” spin on things, which is in no way a bad reflection on Mohinder (or for that matter Sendhil).

I wonder how they will incorporate it into the show, although it will be god that they include Ozzies. Wooooooooooo go Australia!

Well maybe the Aussie is a villian, so for villians he’ll narrate. Or it could just be for a change. Mohinder’s one of my favorite characters but it’ll be nice to have a brief change of pace. Hiro and Nathan (I think) have each narrated their own episode before.

But I hope it’s not permanent, I love Sendhil Ramamurthy’s voice, I want to record his narrations and go to sleep with it every night! Haha.

I don’t remember Nathan and Hiro actually narrating in the same way that Mohinder narrated, but they both announced the “preiously on Heroes” tag, as did Noah. I think the only other narrator we’ve had was Linderman, for one episode.

hm. i think that mohinder’s voice is good for narration. but it would also be interesting if ALL the characters took turns narrating an episode.

I think the change makes perfect sense. First season was about the discovery. That was his area of of the show. Second season was about a virus that just happened to be his area of the show again. The third season is about villians. In my opinion, villians is the link to wisdom. An older character that lived through the battles of previous generations of heros. Villians will be about great power and responsiblity. This is the kind of power and responsiblity that Mohinder knows nothing about personally. What is wrong with adding a new character that will most likely seem like the invensible previous hero to become the narator.

I think this is a wonderful Idea.
