Hey, When I watched the Episode it looked like peter could heal because when he landed in the woods I could see the scar and if you guys remember from season one all he has to do is remember the person he was around when he got the power to use it I think its possible he does have all his powers back.

mattman December 17, 2008 at 4:59 pm

who will pull that glass out of sylars head ???? maybe his real dad(who is in volume 4 will bring him back

bananaphone December 17, 2008 at 8:59 pm

i think this season was great last episode was best man ! loved sylar as jigsaw.Hmm i dont really see Nathan as a villain cuz he havent killed a person (yet)he is just a politic which i think is boring i see more sylar like a villain but its getting old.

steve December 17, 2008 at 10:17 pm

lol
some how i think that we have seen the closest peter will ever get to ando
if they touch i think newyork would be a fraction of the devestation

Ando December 17, 2008 at 10:45 pm

WAT! fort there was goin to be a plane crash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mattman December 18, 2008 at 7:44 am

if ando touches peter it might mae him be able to absorb ?????? (or peter might be able to absorb now ?)

qt.jen December 18, 2008 at 5:20 pm

If Peter touched or even came near to Ando and he still has his absorbing ability he would be able to super charge himself. That is exciting I would like to see that.

sk74 December 18, 2008 at 10:32 pm

Overall, I think that this season was pretty good, although a bit confusing coz of the ‘two futures’ and a couple of plotholes/ things that didn’t make sense to me… For example, Daphne being supercharged which enables her to run faster than the speed of light and therefore travel BACK in time… just on the right side of plausible (although a bit corny). But Daphne being supercharged and being able to run faster than the speed of light to travel FORWARD in time again…HUH?????? WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That just doesn’t work, I’m sorry Mr Kring and co. She (and Ando) would have had to live out those 16 years, or find someone who could either travel in time or somehow reverse the effects of her ‘enhanced lightspeed’. This was a cheap and quick solution to get Hiro back, but I was severely disappointed – I felt insulted! The writers must think we are all idiots that are easily pleased – either that or they got lazy and couldn’t be bothered to write. Are they on strike again or something??? They should have got Daphne to take TWO vials of formula (just in case the first one didn’t give Ando the time travel powers he was hoping for, which is what happened) so that there would be a vial for Hiro… I mean, they KNEW he had lost his powers, it would have made sense… even if Ando did become a timetraveller, they could have still given Hiro his powers back too! I would have happily accepted Daphne&Ando running back in time, giving Hiro his ability back, and Hiro returning them back to the present – in fact, I would have praised the writers for handling it in that way. But sadly, what they did was a big massive COP-OUT. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels that they could have done much better.

sk74 December 18, 2008 at 11:45 pm

Despite my last comment (sack those lazy writers and get some people with ideas that make sense… ME, for starters! lol), I kinda like the general direction that Heroes is going in.

I thought Ando with powers would be going a bit too far, but it actually seems to work! As Hiro’s sidekick, he was the one that assisted the character with power… so it kinda makes sense that the ability he manifests assists characters with powers. Also, the roles are now reversed, with Ando being powerful and Hiro being normal. BUT REMEMBER, you don’t need to have powers to be a hero… in fact, a true hero is someone who has no power but still fights against impossible odds, knowing that they are vulnerable. Ando was a hero before he had powers, Peter is a hero with or without his powers (as seen in Haiti during the Eclipse, and even back in Season 1 (Homecoming) – he still went to ‘Save the Cheerleader’ after seeing the Isaac picture of his apparent death, before he knew that he could store abilities). Hiro was starting to get too cocky and too reliant on his powers, as pointed out by Usutu (African Isaac)… now he will have to use his head more if he wants to continue being a hero.

In the upcoming Fugitives volume, Ando is like the wild card… Only a select few know that he has an ability now, so there should be no reason for him to get rounded up with the others and put on the plane. Will he be the secret saviour to the other Heroes?

Nathan has turned against his own (both enhanced humans AND his family) just like Sylar said he did back in Season 1 (Five Years Gone). AND it looks like he’s heading for that role of President too… Hmmmm… maybe the catastrophic future seen in Season 1 hasn’t been averted – maybe it has just been ‘rerouted’, similar outcome, just a different path to get there (like a Final Destination-type scenario… You can’t fight The Future/Fate/Destiny etc.). Same Shit, Different Way lol!

And before I go, I just have to say… Sylar: C’mon people, you KNOW he isn’t going to die that easily, so stop the hatin’! He is a natural survivor, LIKE A COCKROACH… or have y’all forgotten Season 1 already? The analogy was referred to several times… we all know how hard it is to kill cockroaches, they would probably survive the end of this world if there was a nuclear disaster! So what makes you think that Sylar can be offed if stabbed by a mere sword, or a shard of glass? I don’t know how he will survive the Primatech inferno, but glass is vulnerable to heat… if the shard in his head was to shatter/ melt before his body is consumed by flames, I think it’s safe to say that his ‘healing factor’ would kick in again and save him. I personally would not write him off unless he was cut into a quadrillion pieces and scattered across every corner of the multiverse throughout time… and even then, the writers would probably STILL find a way to implausibly bring him back (i mean, they had Daphne run FORWARD in time at faster-than-light-speed for fuck’s sake, they can do the impossible!!! And no, I’m not gonna forget that one or let it go, the concept of her being able to do that was a bigger letdown than the entire Season 2… although IMO Season 2 wasn’t that bad, just not that great either).

Anyways, those are just some of my thoughts on Volume 3… It was better than good, but seemed a bit rushed in places. Some plot devices could have been better thought out. But overall, I WILL BE BACK FOR VOLUME 4!

Peace!

sk74 December 19, 2008 at 12:31 am

Oh, and just one more thing…

I have to agree with skribble and jane doe… Why are all the black characters getting killed off? DL, Stephen Canfield (black hole guy), Usutu, Echo, and now Knox! Not to mention the fact that Micah was only in an episode – sorry, I mean a scene – as a formality (coz his mother was dead, if they didn’t tie up THAT loose end there would have been too many questions/ complaints). And there wasn’t even a mention of Monica or her family. WTF? Black people are Heroes too!

So it seems that the Black characters in this series are being portrayed as villains first and foremost (when we first saw DL, he was an escaped convict who had apparently murdered his crew before we were shown the truth… then he got killed. The same with Stephen Canfield). The only exception is Usutu. But the fact remains that THEY ALL DIED! I thought that this kind of ‘movie cliche’ was meant to be a thing of the past!

Heroes needs to have a major character who is a) Black, b) a bonafide Hero from the start and c) not so easily expendable (ie doesn’t get introduced just to get killed DAMMIT!)

Oh, and give that character a good storyline too. It’s about time.

You’re not; I said the exact same thing above.

sk74 December 20, 2008 at 11:06 pm

@no on December 20th, 2008 1:06 am

I know what you said above, I do read all the comments before giving a piece of MY mind (and tbh I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who thought they were taking the piss with Daphne ‘time travelling’)… But I felt that the particular point in question HAD to be elaborated PROPERLY – mainly coz it was so far-fetched and ridiculous that I couldn’t believe they even left it in the show – and what you wrote only skimmed the surface of how stupid and impossible that subplot was… but on the whole I was actually agreeing with you. Just forgot to mention “I agree with no…” (like I did with skribble and jane doe in my comment above) coz it was meant to be a SHORT example of “something that didn’t make sense to me”, but I got a LITTLE bit carried away, lol!

Have to disagree with you on the “Ando’s power? Shit.” comment though… I think the way they built up to it was quite good, the reason he HAD to get a power was justifiable and believable, and even the power he manifested makes sense (see my second comment posted 18th Dec at 11:45pm).

I have to say, from what you wrote before, it seems that you didn’t like ANYTHING in Volume 3… whereas I liked it a lot, but I’ll be damned if I’m gonna make exceptions for piss-poor writing (which is why I slated the Daphne/ time situation so much and it seemed like an extended version of what you wrote). Credit where it’s due… meaning well done to all involved for making this volume entertaining, but those responsible for the absurd plot devices need to be taken outside and shot (sorry, I meant fired… Actually, I was right the first time lol!)

Afro December 21, 2008 at 1:12 pm

The Haitian, Micha, and Monica are the 3 black core characters left. People forgetting the Haitian, people respect him and love the fact he’s still mysterious.
I would’ve peeved if the Haitian got killed because Peter couldn’t shoot his dad quick enough. If I didn’t look at these spoilers I would’ve been shitting bricks with the show down of Arthur, Peter, and the Haitian.

sk74 December 21, 2008 at 6:54 pm

@ Afro

You’re right, I myself completely forgot about The Haitian when writing my comment above!

He IS an important and interesting Black character (who is still alive!), and I guess from the start he has been a Hero rather than a Villain… He could be used a little bit more, but I’ve gotta admit I can’t say he’s been underused. So on the one hand, my bad… on the other hand, I would like to see a couple more Black characters like him – well written and developed, interesting, with a bit of depth and/ or mystery to them… that can remain alive for more than a season or two! You know, ones that can be heroes without having to sacrifice themselves by losing their lives (I’m still pissed off that DL took a bullet not just once but TWICE – to save Nikki on both occasions – when he had the power to make both himself AND her intangible and therefore unshootable… oh yeah, and didn’t he get shot by ‘Jessica’ as well? After ducking a couple o’ shots where she missed? Makes no sense… If Claude can keep himself invisible at all times why couldn’t DL turn intangible at the first hint of danger and maintain that state for at least a few minutes??? If these abilities are triggered by adrenaline – fight or flight – he should have been ready to ‘go ghost’ on each of those occasions coz he was faced with dangerous situations each time LONG before the respective triggers were even pulled – including when they faced Linderman…)

But enough, I’m getting carried away again! Think I’ve made my point…

LONG LIVE THE HAITIAN! (and let’s have more like him)

Afro December 22, 2008 at 12:04 am

Knox on the myspace Heroes board wasn’t to well received. Some thought he was a snore job. To me, he was as good as what they use for muscle as can be.
Flint was more of a handicap to Knox. Flint messed up catching Claire and watching over Suresh. But his dumbass is still around while Knox is blindsided from the back, like how he did to that Marine.

I seen Jamie Hector (Knox) give his characters back story. So him dying was kind of surprising. But since he was such a bad man, I wasn’t to mad about him dying like Usutu and especially D.L. getting capped by some regular guy in the club.

The Haitian is used seldomly because he makes hard situations really easy. I mean the Haitian could’ve just rolled up in Pinehearst and killed Arthur right on the spot. Knocked out Knox, Flint, Suresh I guess, and kill Sylar. Well he should kill Sylar even though Sylar can’t teleport, he still couldn’t be contained and killed to many people to let be given a chance to live again.

If that happened people would’ve been like damn, that’s it? It would’ve ended on episode 12, but Nathan would still have been able to SNITCH! The Haitian would’ve let him go since he primarly works for his mother, Angela.

Lucas December 22, 2008 at 4:26 am

In my point of view this was the best of all volumes. This one kept me waiting all week just to see 45 minutes of whats coming next. Amazing story. I only hated that it ended so soon…. it will take about 4 month for the next volume to be on air.

Afro December 22, 2008 at 8:25 am

Naw Lucas, we have to wait a month and 3 weeks for the next volume. But hey. at least it’s better then 10 months like last year.

Nikki December 22, 2008 at 7:00 pm

did anyone else realise that Meredith and Flint, brother and sister, ‘died’ at the same time
aww and they didn’t even meet

i didn’t like how this series GOT ‘RID’ OF CHARACTERS FROM DIFFERENT ETHNIC GROUPS AND ALL THE TEENAGERS HAVE GONE SOMEWHERE!!!!!!!
a majority of the audience who watch Heroes are teenagers so it would be good to have more teenagers like Claire.

I miss Elle!!!!!! she was a good character, better than Nathan and Tracy put together.

Afro December 23, 2008 at 2:42 am

Nikki, Flint isn’t dead. He can’t get burned and neither can Meredith. But Meredith could’ve died from the collapsing of the building. But I doubt it, I’m sure she’s alive as well.

Bananaphone December 23, 2008 at 3:22 pm

Peter still have his absorb powers right? just that he have to reabsorb all powers.then it means he will absorb all powers when he is on that plane full with heroes and its just confirmed that Claire hiro and tracy will be on that plane.Or does he just have to power that the formula gave him ?lol flight i think its lame..

Nikki December 24, 2008 at 6:50 pm

thanks Afro
you’re probably right

qt.jen December 24, 2008 at 7:42 pm

Nikki I miss Elle also….the good thing is that Kristen Bell (Elle) will be in 6 movies in 2009 2 of them will just be her voice. Her schedule was to busy for her to continue on in heroes. Although I still feel they didn’t have to finalize her death by burning her body, they could have brought her back for vol.5.

Over all vol.3 started a little slow, the ending was interesting enough to me want to see what will happen in vol.4. I still a heroes fan.

Brian December 26, 2008 at 9:29 pm

meiridath or flint cant get burnt so there not dead

Brian December 26, 2008 at 9:51 pm

and what happened the haiten he was suposed to follow sylar

qt.jen December 27, 2008 at 4:20 pm

Meridith and flint cannot get burnt, but if the building is collapsing on them they will die. I would like to see them return next season.

Mike December 30, 2008 at 11:51 am

Nikki,
Flint and Meredith have met, unless you are referring to a different meeting. She was robbing the store with him when Thompson (Eric Roberts) caught her.

Nikki December 30, 2008 at 5:31 pm

Mike,
what i meant was that flint thought meredith died on the train during the fight agaist thompson.
between the train crash and the fire at the end of series 3 meredith and flint didn’t met so flint still thought meredith was dead. and i’m not sure if flint knew that claire was/is his niece?
sorry if i didn’t make sense.

derrick December 30, 2008 at 7:46 pm

if ando tuches peter yes ando will supercharge peter and peter will also absorb andos ability too and he will be a bad ass right?

I totally agree mate. How did Peter know that was the right syringe Syrum to take? It was blind luck!

Brian:
And what happened to The Haitian? He was suposed to follow Sylar.

Probably had 30 winks! But just think of what him & Ando can do come Volume 4!!

Sylar is one of my all time fave character but this Volume the writers totally messed up his character & to a certain extent his power {how he obtains them}. To me, he turned into Peter or viser versa.

I would love to see Meredith emerge from the burning building/rubble. But can that syringe that Sylar stabbed her with that messed with her adrenaline actaully kill her in itself or wud it need something else to kil her, ie the building collapsing on her?

I can just see it now {#4:01}. Doyle waking up from the floor to see the building on fire. He panicks, looking around to spot Meredith. He rushes over to her cell & she tells him that Sylar stabbed him with an andrenaline syringe & she’s going to die unless he can save her. He whisks her out of the burning building just time in time b4 it goes boom!! Then the anderenaline wears off. She’s then back to her normal self. She thanks Doyle by giving him a kiss on his cheek. They turn back to watch the burning building collapse only to see a shadowy figure rise from the rubble…who is none other than SYLAR!! They then realise who it is & runs off.

As for Volume 3 went, I really enjoyed it but some of the plots, ie with Sylar & Peter were silly & ridiculous. When Angela told Sylar that she is her mother, I thought wow only to find out later that she lied just to manipluate him. I was kinda expecting him to use Bridget’s power in a sense but that didnt happen.

Nathan being the new baddass villain, I kind of saw that coming, ie Season 1 like people have mentioned. I am ok with that but I wanna see more why he atcually turned bad.

Saying that I wud av loved to see someone like The Haitian being the new badass!! Last but not least, I wish Claude returns asap to Heroes. As he is a great actor & Claude is one of the best characters out there.

Xalvin January 2, 2009 at 11:07 pm

Can’t wait for Season 4.
I can see how the future is actually shaping now. Why Peter said that Nathan’s thinking is wrong in the future and then subconciously sliced him up. Why Peter and the Heroes were being hunted. Its all shaping into place.

Tarot January 3, 2009 at 2:57 am

@Matt

Interesting theory though I’m not sure what Sylar did to Doyle to break his hold. I thought Sylar had broken Doyel’s neck with telekinesis, but he may have just stunned Doyle. We’ll have to wait until Feb 2 to see if any of that pans out. It would be very interesting.

And I agree that Claude needs to return. He’s my absolute favorite.

WTF January 9, 2009 at 12:53 am

Ok to all those who have a brain, apparently not SK74, if you can go backwards through time you can go forward. Apparently didn’t pay much attention in Science class when they talked about Einstein. Get over it! But I do have to agree with your point that the writers got lazy, and that is what I thought all season long. There were good episodes and bad ones as well. Did not feel fully satisfied by this season,Hiro should have gotten his powers back like Peter did (the formula) but Usutu was right, Hiro did begin to rely on them too much. It does look like the show will get back on the right track again. Fugitives looks like it could go either way.
And piss off all of you dumbasses that think that Syler should be dead. Syler is to Peter what Magnito is to Xavier, or Lex Luther is to Superman. There has to be one that is ultimatly good and one that is ultimatly bad. That is the way that comics work, and ultimatly why people get into them. They feel a common bond with one or the other.
Also it is not either future that Peter or Hiro visited earlier in the season that they are in now, that would be complete BS if the writers did that. It is just like Angela told future Peter, the butterfly effect, one difference can change everything. Not to mention in both futures there were people with powers roaming around freely. Was there a mass break out, or did everyone just look the other way due to the corruption of capitalism and free market economics. Not likely.
Peter gets his power back, I am sure that he has the ability to absorb others abilities, but not sure if he has all the others back. And who the hell cares it gives those brainless writers something to work with.
I would like to exclude Tim Kring from all the crap talk of the bad writers that the show has, I cannot say that I have watched an episode that was writen by him and not really liked it. Just the opposite actually, everytime I start to get just a little WTF with the show Tim comes through with a briliant episode to get the show back on track. Thanks Tim.

I have a brain, and I would have thought that someone like you who apparently does too would have elaborated on their argument in the same post, instead of just throwing some insults out there and assuming that you win.

So, elaborate. How could Daphne and Ando travel forward in time (following in-universe rules, of course?)

I don’t remember Einstein saying it was possible to travel FORWARD in time by going faster than the speed lf light… Of course you can go forward by travelling SLOWER than lightspeed – we’re doing it right now… but if you know something that I don’t then please share the info and enlighten me (and any others out there who share my opinion).

Otherwise, quit dissing for the sake of it, it doesn’t make you come across as having the brain that I apparently lack… at least I can back up my opinion with LOGIC – be it right or wrong, you can see where I’m coming from.

C’mon then… why do YOU believe it to be possible?

Flyingman January 27, 2009 at 11:02 am

I have mixed feelings about Heroes after volume 3. I like the characters, & the stories are entertaining, but all these plot holes keep popping up which kinda takes away from that. Daphne not taking a vial for Hiro is one that’s been mentioned already. Peter shooting Nathan really bothered me. If he can go back to any point in time, why would he shoot his brother? He could’ve gone back to before the speech & at least tried to talk him out of it.

I didn’t get what was so horrible about the future either. So there are some badguys who get abilities. That’s already happening anyway. More people with abilities would mean more goodguys with abilities too, so it would just even out. Claire is trying to kill Peter, but we never find out why. We never find out why Peter needed Sylar’s ability. At the end of the last episode of volume 3, I found myself agreeing with Nathan.

Then Nathan suddenly becomes a badguy. Why would he say he would’ve left Peter in the fire? They’ve had strong disagreements before, but he’s always shown that he cared for his brother. He flip-flops from “everyone should have abilities” to “no one should have abilities” & decides everyone with powers should be locked up. Which makes no sense considering that he has powers himself.

The president, of course, agrees to a secret meeting with Nathan & believes everything he says at face value. I found this strange as well. Nathan has only recently been elected, & has no special connection to the President. There’s no reason the President should agree to a meeting, much less believe everything Peter says.
