Tim Kring has provided us all with some spoilers of what to expect for Season 4:
We’re all very excited about the next volume of Heroes(volume 5) called “REDEMPTION.” All of our characters, in way or another, return to their normal lives after the turmoil and tragedy of “FUGITIVES.”
One of the big issues we’ll be exploring is how should a person with abilities live his or her life. Should they try to assimilate by hiding their abilities, or should they live more honestly, exposing their powers to the world?
Claire will be at the forefront of that issue, starting college in Washington, D.C., and trying to discover, as all college kids do, who she really is. But re-adjusting to normal life won’t be easy, especially when Claire is caught in the crossfire of her parent’s divorce and a mysterious suicide on campus.
Meanwhile, Peter and Nathan are trying to get their lives back on track. Peter is trying to be a hero in the purest sense — saving on life at a time. But that means cutting himself off from friends and family. It’s only when Peter makes a romantic connection with a fascinating new “powerful” woman that he’ll find out that life means staying connected to others. Nathan is discovering new things about himself everyday, mostly due to the fact that he’s actually Sylar.
Matt will have to live with the guilt of what he did to Sylar; making his attempts to live a normal life with his wife and child virtually impossible.
Noah Bennet (HRG), with the help of Tracy Strauss, Angela Petrelli and all of our Heroes, is tasked with forming a new COMPANY. But that new organization won’t be concerned with conspiracies and prisons anymore. It will be about people. Finding them. Connecting to them. And figuring out why so many of them have been seduced by another “organization” out there that treats people with abilities in a fascinating, dangerous and potentially deadly new way.

i still dont believe that this will be a battle on the INSIDE. I’m sorry but to me there is sylar, a blinded sylar, but sylar alone. there is no nathan to fight for control of the body, there is only a memory which sylar can hire the haiten or use the haiten’s power…if he killed him at the end of villains to remove.
btw did sylar ever take on the power of inpenetrational skin? cuz that would make him truely invincable, not even lava from a volcano could kill him….unless it went into his holes….e.g. nose

I think he took the power into some deleted scenes, but writers said scrapped material was scrapped. I also doubt he killed the Haïtian despite the fact that he seemingly disappeared while running after Sylar. I would be very disappointed if it was the case anyway. This is one of many things writers have to explain us, like how the hell did Sylar get out of Primatech while pacified with the glass shard in his head. (Noah’s glass melting theory goes down the drain when you know how hot glass has to be in order to melt)
And alexx, we shall see how Sythan turns out.
I’ll have to disagree with you on that one, amongst other reasons because writers already hinted a “Fight Club-ish” storyline for this. Also because I keep in mind that Sylar was already going psycho with his personalities with shapeshifting taking over him. With his memory disconnected (and replaced), he is more vulnerable than ever.
Remember Sylar was already having issues restructuring his DNA (and was getting very worried about it, which says a lot coming from him). He woke up as Danko’s agent, and grew a random extra tooth while becoming himself again. Also keep in mind what happened when he absorbed his mom’s latest memories and DNA: he BECAME her every time he shifted to her (although he admittedly made her say what he wanted to hear) and that didn’t even require a brainwash.
Pretty much anything can happen in Heroes (more often than not, defying logic)
i hate matt now cuz even tho he has a kid DOES NOT MEAN THAT U HAVE 2 LIVE AND NOW LOVE AGAIN THE 1 WHO CHEATED ON HIM plus he said he loved daphine not the baby mamma! daphine was 1 of my fav peeps untill she died. i want hiro to have his powers back! ando is now cool since he could finally feel wat hiro and otha peeps feel who have powers. n is molly comin back?! she needs 2 cuz she was a huge person in s1. isnt tracy dead? who was dat girl who came from the water in the preview? was it BARBRA?

ok. i love watching heroes my favorite chacrater is peter but is seems to be pissing me off lately that peter lost his powers. will he ever get them back. you now that way he used to be. if not then it needs to happen. anyway sylar is the man
I think peters new power will grow so it is able to hold onto more than one power at a time.
peter should have done this.
copied sylars understanding n understood all of his powers. then cut of the top of his head and with the help of a double mirror undertood his origional power.

I thought you were joking, but I seem to remember you mentioning that one before… just in case you’re serious, you are forgetting something really important!
a) Um… wouldn’t Peter cutting off the top of his own head be a bit, er, suicidal – unless he could Regenerate?
b) If Peter could Regenerate, then he wouldn’t have IA (since he can only hold one power, remember) and therefore it would make no sense for him to cut off the top of his own head.
c) If Peter could Regenerate AND had IA, he wouldn’t NEED to cut his own head open as he would already be holding more than one ability (like his original power).
Just thought I should remind you that Peter is no longer invincible
NOOOO my point is that peter could have taken sylars IA and used it to get all of sylars other powers as well. it probs wouldnt wrk anyway (the head cutting thing).
anyway, there are soo many ways that th writers can make him the guy we loved again, ill leave it up to them to do that…in the mean time can someone plz explain why matt parkman is a prophet? like utsu said, and why he was ‘given’ utsu’s power. in my opinion either that ws part of utsu’s power (GIVING OTHERS his power) or mory parkman faked his own death and is manipulating matt….im confuzzled…
i really hope they are going to get into the cool powers they have. this switching powers, and losing powers, and getting really lame powers to replace awesome ones (peter..?) the point of the show Heroes is that they are heroes! superheroes in fact. i sincerely hope it gets back to the awesome storyline in season 1. it was great!
yeah, they had it in volume 1; stop sylar, save the world. they have kinda lost it since then. but volume 4 brought back the idea of an awesome final fight scene between heroes and villains, except the scuzzy gits didnt show it (grumble). they should bring back the idea of saving the world, stopping the bad guy and (i agree) stop messing around with the heroes abilities!!! give hiro back his power!! and i guess its too late for peter, if you want to be realistic about how the scrpt writers will do it.
Sounds awesome, I hope that Peter & Hiro gets their full powers back, I very nearly lost interest in season 3 when they de-powered them

I think one of the things that made Heroes S1 SOO great, was how they tied everyones stories TOGETHER> How it started out on what, 10-12 people and there individual stories of how they are discovering these abilities and how to handle them. Should they use them to better the world, or to better THERE life.? Then how everyone was connected and they didnt know it. To me nothing is better than watching a show, thinking ONE thing will happen, and then it totally blows you away and you sit there thinking… WHOA I had NO IDEA it was like that. Does anyone else feel what I’m saying?
In all truth, it is a small world. We are all similar, and signifigant, and linked together in one way or another.
Example…In S1 Claire rescues firefighter from burning train wreck. In S3 we find out that her bio mom & uncle were on the train and cause some of the fire.
That is just one of many. Hopefully we will get more similar storylines in S4.

karinaboutheroes, you pretty summarised my and many others views. a brilliant comment because since season1, there has been very little of those connections. i rewatched season 1 n saw peter saying that yamahato stocks were low n maybe it would be good to invest, hiro works at yamahato. later we find out that people are questions his fathers leadership there which of course could have led to the low stock that peter mentioned a few episodes ago. how many times to the heroes encouter eachother quickly, before the final showdown at kirby plasa.
that, along with the major killing of mmmmmaaany characters (villains ended with no villains alive ! except like sylar), n theres the depowering of the good heroes…n th lack of connections i mentioned n all of the sutff that made heroes what it is.
that is really why heroes has been losing viewers, if u disagree with me plz say so! i will watch heroes no matter what, even when matt said ‘i can fly’ which was explained 10 seconds later, i would have still stuck by cuz i luv th show no matter what, but the writers since half way through Villains (around the episode dying of the light) have been pissing me off.
my friends generally say that season 3 went downhill around the eclipse. well they tried to condense what should have been 20 episodes into 12 called villains, it shod hv been a full season. ther ws soo much to it! it wsnt around the eclispe, it was as soon as they started the depowering.
plz dont get me wrong i luv th show, its my fave out of everything. but someone needs to take the writers drug supply away.
i hope that season 4 brings back these connections, powers, written out characters (claude n maya) and propperly explains how th hell matt can suddenly paint the future n is a prophet???
sorry for saying so much, but karinaboutheroes got me passionate again on the subject of suck a good show being slightly ruined by its writers. maybe it was caus they temporate missing of bryan fuller.

Just a quick answer (coz I have made this point before a few times), but with regards to prophet Matt…
Matt power is not limited to Telepathy (as we now know). His ability (as Bob said in S2) is “whatever the brain controls, [Matt] can control”.
Since psychic abilities all fall under this category, Matt’s power has evolved from the original ‘receptive’ Telepathy (mindreading), to now include ‘transmitting’ (or pushing) thoughts – still part of Telepathy, PRECOGNITION (seeing the future – which is why he is now a ‘prophet’), and now, as we saw in the finale, Mental Manipulation (erasing, editing thoughts).
Basically, it looks like Matt is becoming a ‘Professor X’ type character – VERY powerful. Theoretically, depending entirely on how much his powers evolve and his mastery over them, he could possibly one day learn how to do what Molly does (Clairvoyance), MAYBE even Clairsentience (Sylar’s ‘Touch & Know’ ability)… The list goes on.
Hope that explains it for you… You’ve been asking that question for a while!
hey sk74- lol i like your thinking. lol but even though Matt is really powerful….remember what happened to Hiro in S3 when he overused his ability. (hence nose bleed) lol well the same could happen to Matt. lol I’m just saying. lol but right on about maybe him becoming like Molly and Sylar. lol that would be awesome. lol

matt + ando’ shocking power = super taking control of peoples minds.
still nobody is more powerful than claire cuz they will all die out…, sylar has been shown to lose half his powers n so if he lost it would die, peter has lost the ability to take more than one n so unless he takes claires, he will die too.
claire will be the only survivor, therefore i think her ability is by far the best.
Will Peter get back his ability (empathic mimic)? I don’t like the idea of “mimic one ability at a time, losing the old ability in order to acquire the new one “!
If Peter cannot get back his ability, Sylar is going to control the world! Peter should save the world!
awwww maaaaan!!!!!!! we still have to wait another 2 months for the series! but maybe only a month till we get some juicy trailers

I hear ya, about SuperMatt facing repercussions… maybe we’ll see him end up in a hovering wheelchair coz his brain gets too powerful? lol! (As long as he doesn’t end up secretly teaching a school full of ‘the next generation of Heroes’ as well… with a jet in the basement…!)

Agreed, they could have made the leap in a slightly more coherent way… At first, I too thought “WTF? How can he go from mindreading to painting the future?” But eventually I kinda stumbled across the answer while looking up something else, had a mini-revelation, and kicked myself for not making the connection. But I think the fact of having him PAINT the future (which really wasn’t necessary IMO) is what confuses the issue more than anything… If he just had visions, but somehow in a different way to Angela, then it wouldn’t be such a transparent attempt to keep the comicbook element that Isaac’s character brought to the show. Rather than re-hash an original idea that worked so well in an effort to recapture the essence of season 1, I think they could have done it in a different and still original way. But c’est la vie… on the plus side, they HAVE brought Matt’s character up a couple of levels from what I found to be boring, so I guess I can live with the painting issue.

each episode is 4o minutes, 40 + 40 = 1h 20 mins…so with 10 mins of comercials… its still half an hour short… unless each 1st episode is 50 mins
50 + 50 = 1h 40 mins, + 20 mins commecials….yup that seems about right.
I however, live in england (OMG PERSONAL INFORMATION GIVEN OUT) and so wont be able to watch it when it first comes out. However, i love heroes to much to wait a day or a week to watch it on normal television, so i shall watch it online at http://www.surfthechannel.com or http://www.greatstufftv.com.

Okay, I just saw Peter’s fight scene against Ray Park in “redemption” from the Comic Con 09. Wow, Peter can fight and looks to use more than one ability as he grabs Ray and threw him with what appears to be super strength when protecting HRG.
HRG: Take his Power
Peter: Got it!
Than they both start fighting with Park’s super speed and knives and Peter uses martial arts. catches a knife thrown at HRG at super speed too

Dapne was shot in Trust and Blood, but Danko never treated her, Matt got her out along with Tracy and Mohinder, but she died later in a hospital from the infection of the untreated wound

wow. ok. lol i’m in the process of watching Heroes Season 3 for the third time….and i just saw Dual, where Peter, Knox, and Flint destroy al the formula, then Nathan comes, and Flint sets the place on fire, and Peter saves Nathan, then later Nathan says, “That’s not what i would’ve done.” and that’s soo wrong…and it got me thinking thta Peter wouldn’t be in so much mess if he weren’t soo sentimentally vulnerable with his emotions. lol feel free to disagree.
i dont even know when it is due out in the uk season 4 ive heard nothing about it i love to watch heroes i think sylar is delightful
