Kristin from E! did an interview with Ali Larter where she revealed us more about her new character:
- Ali may be playing yet another character in the coming weeks
- What’s ahead for her character: Lots of water, lots of water
- Bryan Fuller wrote the episode
“It’s his first episode back. It’s just so complex. It’s so compelling, and he really has come up with another interesting power—another interesting way to understand what these characters are going through.”

Hmmm, maybe her ability is water manipulation or something like that.
It’d be cool if she played Tracy and Barbara at the same time instead of killing off Tracy and bringing in Barbara to replace her. :-/ It would seem like the writers are rehashing stories (we already have a city threatened to blow up… again, now this?!).
I’ll be pissed if Tracy is killed to be replaced by Barbara. Hopefully they’re both alive when Barbara is introduced.
Yet again, it was said in one of the Behind the Eclipses that we would not see Barbara this season… so maybe it’s another character that’s not Barbara?
I hope we stick with Tracy, maybe they misunderstood what Ali said? Maybe Tracy not seeing the “full potential” of her power means she can make water or something of that kind? I don’t know, I just hope Tracy sticks around for a while and we learn more about her and her past before they decide to replace her with the last Larter triplet.
It would be cool if we had both barbara and Tracy except barbara was evil and they had a fight to the death.
I think this pretty easy to put together. The physical pain she is suffering as well as the mental are figuratively melting her away, and so her ice becomes water for a time.
As for the other character, my guess is that the shape shifter that Danko and Sylar go after turns into her at some point, as the writers said we won’t see Barbara this season.

Maybe Tracy develops an additional personality due to the strain and we realise that it might be something in the genes ie skitsofrenic (I forget how to spell it) from the biological Mum and Dad lol. Can’t say Ali Larter’s not good at playing 2/3 characters at the same time
Maybe the writers are playing to her strengths while also showing they’re are “more” similarities between Niki and Tracy besides the men they’ve slept with and DNA lol
I think that Ali will be portraying her mother in some flashback scenes. That’s the only way I see them using Ali as another character without it seeming stale. With as much as the show chews up and spits back out only to put it back in your mouth and start chewing again. This show loves reusing storylines, it’s almost to the point i start looking for the heavyweight champion of the Heroes world. We’ve got more recycling of the storylines than professional wrestling. WITH ALL THAT SAID, I’M STILL A HUGE FAN AND WILL WATCH THE SHOW TILL IT’S DEMISE..

Well, aparently claire has to help him, but think her mother wont allow it, somehow, and therefore something goes wrong..
Yeah, he got old his father, and now suffering from cancer.. weird..
Of course nathan regains tracys trust, and the other way around.. the hunter is going crazy… he just wants to kill them all, and wont stop at any cost, it seems like. ; like he want to blow up and washington d.c and there was alot of innocenses… i think Danko will kill nathan, or at least find out about his power..
It’s a great show… mabye the best…

Yeah I’d say its either just Tracy where her power has reached it’s next level or the shape shifter morphs into her for some reason…. But what i really love would be if it was Niki back some how, she just died and they had the funeral and that was it, and if everyone is right about Micah being “Rebel” then they could just as easily bring Niki into it, like I always thought that she could have survived that explosion, I mean after all it is heroes, but I can’t see how she could have survived the Shanti virus as stupid Mohinder never got to Niki to give her the anti dote….. so more than just a maybe that it ain’t going to happen, but I definitely liked Niki a lot more than Tracy……

Tracy can manipulate moisture in the air into ice.
There will be a scene with a huge amount of water and she will use her powers.
She’s like Ice man basically.
Im looking forward to seeing Tracy power being used to its full potential.

Hmm….Well, Tracy’s powers are NOT like IceMan, i thought they told us in the show that Tracy steals the heat of an object/person/anything causing it to turn to ice/ or freeze.
But with the third sister getting into the show, i highly beleive that will happen.

I just saw the “Cold Snap” Preview, and the lots of water is just coming from pipes i think. and WOW Tracy goes all out with her power!!! It looks sooo fucking sweet!!!! go find it online!

A hero’s power can definitely hurt them. The black hole guy got sucked into his own black hole.
And that wasn’t a wink, she was batting a tear from her eye. But yeah, I think Tracy will be back as a water creature of some sort, if not next season, then maybe the season after that .
i hope barbara’s power is opposite power its like if sylar will try to steal her powers and he tries to open her head instead of barbara’s head being ripped open its sylar’s head going to be opened its like what you do to her will happen to you reverse you know.
but i know her powers wont be like that coz they said there would a lot of water so apparently it would be related to that.
but i do hope that kind of power will occur on heroes.

touching back on the vortex guy, yes he did get harmed by his own power, but he didnt transform into a vortex. tracy turned into ice. if she’s the cop out death because she can’t harm herself with her own power, then something is probably going on with Meredith for that same exact reason.
Well so far Nikki and Tracey have been two of my Fav characters! Awesome Idea of triplets. Can’t wait to see Barbara!! COLD SNAP has been my favourite episode (out of them all) to date!! My Jaw dropped with the special effects. The woman kicks A*s. My response was Holy Sh*t!!! That’s amazing…………….
With regards the death of Tracey. Well I kinda hope she hasn’t died, what with the wink and all. But thinking logically, not that that matters in Hereos-land, water and ice expand and contract with heat/temperature. So as the ice cracked and the room temperature gradually rose again and water formed from the ice, Tracey could, ‘rejoin/reform’ if that makes any sense. Alot of the heroes powers are passive, eg healing, precog. dreaming etc. But Tracey could activate and knowly manipulate the strength of hers. So maybe she can ‘rejoin’ or ‘reform’ before the water drains away.
But then we enter the land of ‘can all heroes not be killed my their powers’? eg fire can’t kill Pyrokenetic – thus Meredith lives, etc.
I think Ali Larter is an amazing actress and either way can’t wait to see what she does next.
Well if you have been lookin it up on the internet then you will Know that tracy isn’t dead n she will be coming bck at the end of the season or in seaeson 5 redemption barbra will be in the next season as well and i hope that we will see a fight between them PETER PETRELLI ROCKS and He is My All Time Favorite character if he indeed is being killed off then il be FUCKIN PISSED nATHAN TO DIE OR POSSIBLY CLARE who has become boring but is very hot though
Meredith was injected with Adrenaline and that caused her powers to go wild. She basically exploded with fire, i think. All the fire inside of her had to come out some way due to the adrenaline and it made her explode?
Any other people have ideas?
With Tracy, her powers basically evolved. Instead of touching things to freeze them she can freeze them from a distance, the water just helped. She then turned herself into ice (part of her power evolution) and melted and went inside the vents/sewer/whatever. She can then freeze herself and reform herself into her original form and TADA! she’s alive!!!
Again, any other ideas?
Maybe Barbra discovered that she had two twin sisters! So she set out to find them and discovered that Niki was in New Orleans with her son. Barbra’s ability was like Molly’s and she saw her sister Niki in trouble. So she helped Niki out of the burning building but got caught up in it herself. So Barbra was the one who died in the explosion and Niki was thrown and hit her head and her alter Gina came back out and went off to party not caring if people thought she was dead or about Barbra. When Niki eventually comes out she looks into her twin look alike saver and discovers that she has two twins sisters, Tracey and Barbra. But it’s too late and both of them are dead.
But this way Niki comes back. She was my favorite character and I was very very very very upset to see her die.

i for one and just excited to know ali is returning i have loved all of her very complexed charecters through the entire run of heroes.. i loved niki she will remain my favorite and i really wish it would of stayed with niki but i understand the story line must evolve and thats awesome…i just love how ali brings that seriousness with a whole bunch of sex appeal to every episode reguardless of who she plays she is always intresting to watch….cold snap was probably my favorite episode… it really showed tracey wasnt one to count out of the equation… ali is amazing she will do well any charecter she plays now or in the future wether its tv or a movie i will remain a huge fan… cant wait for season 4!!!
