The Countdown Has Begun - Heroes Season Three

Here’s another season 3 preview video! At least guys from NBC and cast members are trying to give us something to talk about till new season starts.
Heroes Season 3 starts this fall on September 15th with a massive two-hour Heroes film.
Watch closely and pause the clip at sec. 20. Can you see Peter? Is he the villain who shot Nathan?

That can’t be possible. Peter was right next to Nathan when he was shot. The person who shot Nathan looked either like Sylar (although he was out of commission and couldn’t walk), Noah Bennet…
Or it could be Peter Petrelli from the future (aka Five Years Gone) who came back and murdered his brother. If that’s the case, wouldn’t that technically be a time paradox?

Peter comes back from the future to shoot nathan because he might make things worse for the specials/evolved humans.
If hiro can do it, why not future peter? He potentially has the ability to utilize all of the acquired abilities at once, since he’s able to use a couple of abilities at one time, or switch quickly between them( see the last episode of season 2 when he telekinetically pushes matt as he telepathically has a conversation with him)
Remember, peter has hiro’s abilities.
If that were the case though, why did future peter not just teleport back to his future time like future hiro did when he first encountered the peter of the present on the subway train??
Why not just turn invisible to avoid being seen?
If you pause at 13 seconds, you can prolly see a glimpse of the effects of daphane’s super speed on the environment. You can see her onset watching the action, so that tells me that she might be shooting that particular scene with hiro ( Girl in the red shirt)
At eight seconds, you see peter walking in front a green screen, so maybe he’s using one of his powers, possibly DL’s phasing ability?
We see that niki survived the explosion, which means that she might have her powers back and possibly developed a new one( Super toughness/endurance).
But what of sylar?
Imagine how awesome the first episode of the season is going to be…

I’m so glad to see Ali Larter back as well. She was one of my favorites. I’m glad the count down has commenced. Let’s make the openeing show and others to follow, the most watched television. I’m so glad there doing promotion now .. thats smart to get us all revamped. SORRY i can’t rambling. BUT ILOVE THIS SHIT!!!!!

Also, i think you should keep your eye on the graphic novels, as some of the abilities and characters from them might be making it to screen.
Also, the primatech assignment tracker is starting to add specials from the graphic novels to their database:
1)The kid with the super memory from a recent graphic novel, who died in an attempt to download the entire database of The Company. (Matt Nuremberg)
2)Donna Dunlap, who has enhanced vision capabilities and is currently the star of the ongoing series of graphic novels ( You know you’re a star when you have your own mendez portrait portraying your death…lol)
3) Agent cushing, who secretes a some type of acid from his pores. Sorry, thats “secreted”. He got smoked:)
Remember the agent in the graphic novel “walls” with super speed? Remind you of anyone? lol
Also, in a recent graphic novel, we see one of the relatives of molly walker become a victim to a power hungry special, who feeds on the auras of living beings and gains the [powers of specials she kills.
I ultimately feel that the Hiro, Peter, And Sylar are potentially the most important characters of the series for some simple reasons:
1) Hiro can travel forward and backward in time and correct events to a certain extent.
2)Peter can do the same, so he plays the part of a replacement for hiro in the event that he dies somehow.
3) Sylar, because of his intuitive aptitude, can kill either peter or hiro, acquire their abilities, and use them to a greater degree than either of the possibly could ( He uses his telekinesis as a means of protection in many of the episodes of the first season)
Then again, we have yet to see if peter displays Sylars’ ability ( intuitive aptitude), let alone any of the other abilities he was exposed to( Not too sure about the haitian’s ability, as he cancels the abilities of those who chooses in a certain radius).
Peter also meets eden in isaac’s apartment, so he has yet to demonstrate that ability.
Peter’s also been hanging around his mom, so he might have her ability as well ( i think it might be the ability to see through the eyes of others, as he seemed to demonstrate this ability when nathan began to manifest his flying ability, and also around the same time he(peter) starts to have those flying “dreams”.
It’s possible he acquired that ability from shaft ( richard roundtree)
Or maybe the writers will throw in a another wicked plot twist and blow all of our theories to hell

Oh good, what can i say, AWSOME for what is coming this FALL, and what has been shown in behind the scenes, Masi Oka’s Hiro meeting newcommer Brea Grant as Daphne, and what was seen that Hiro was blown in the air, there was a scenes of paper work blowing and James Kyson Lee’s Ando running in the show, and the mysterius man that shoot Nathan looked soo much like Milo Ventimiglia’s Peter, could that be Peter of a possible dark future, but what about Claire, and Noah, Ali Larter’s Nikki sure is back, but Pasdar’s Nathan wasnt shown a bit, neither Mohinder, Elle, Monica, Micah, nor even Sylar. I cant wait, sure this season will blow up our expectations, everything kind of will change, hope Hiro’s arc becomes much interesting now that he has supposedly has a new Nemesis, cause Adam is one of them…

I just saw the interview ‘access hollywood’ and it seems like Nathan And Niki will be together in the show, said Ali Larter ’some characters you would never expect to be together will be together’ and than they hugged (Adrian and Ali) saying isn’t honney?
OMG that would mean that Niki and Nathan will have a relationship!

I suppose that some heroes will realize that they are wasting their powers and will protect the world… There has to be a group to protect people from villains!

Well about the possible Nathan + Nikki relation may work, cause they are attract each other since episode 1×05 Hiros, and remember 2×07 Out of Time when they meet again, there is chemistry on this two characters, who know, perhaps mysteriusly Nikki is pregnat of Nathan ^-^, in four months maybe the child is still on process, but if she ever was then Mohinder could know if she was because of her test with the Shanti Virus, who knows, maybe her possible ^-^ just kiding unborn child has the hability to protect what is near him, like a barrier, I mean, it produces a shield, that hability may be cool, that may be a reason of how Nikki could survive the explosion, because her possible unborn child has this hability in the process, it protected Nikki… wow if that happen, and maybe the baby isnt infected because it is protected inside her, because of the barrier that the baby produces, and is undetected too, becuse is protected, like the power shield of Invisible Woman of F4, but without having invisibility like Claude, and that any ability cant break the shield, even a nuclear explosion cant, but only works against out side the shield but inside the source of the shield is unprotected…
Nathan flight and possible wind caster + Meredith pyrokinesis = Claire Rapid Cell Regeneration
Nikki super strenght + DL pashing = Micah Technopath
& now Nathan flight + Nikki super strenght = ? shield barrier ^-^, hope that, Pasdar and Larter make good chemistry on their characters, but that could make Nathan have more kids, what an affair guy he is, now that in the spoiler he gave us fans that he being a father would be very important, this possiblility could be one of them dont u think…
And about Nathan’s shooter, If it is Peter, I saw that coming, but what could be the reason, Peter is a perfect candidate for that, possible that he becomes a Villian, but obviusly he will become a Hero again, but what is the reason for him doing that to the one he matters most and like Nathan has the same feelings for Peter, now that he answer his feelings for Peter that he was longing for, could something bad happen in the future, could be related to Caitlin, who knows, will just wait 4 months and see for ourselves…
If you think back to series 1 the last ep then peter should of absorbed nikki dl molly and micha. In series 2 he has dl power as he walks though the wall with adam munroe so if he had nikki power he might of shot nathan as the other person. Think about it. And if claire blood can bring people back to life like it did with noah bennet then nathan nikki or anyone wont die

It’s really strange that we both reminded ourselves of F4! I saw Niki and Nathan together as miss fantastica and her husband! They are going to be heroes!
Did you hear what they daid ’some heroes might turn bad, and some villains might become heroes’ True is that Niki was a villain, well that was jessica but still.
I see that Niki and Nathan will now be the most hero characters from all the good bodies!
Imagine a bank rubbery! Nathan gets a call, takes Niki to the place of crime and than she enters the bank and catch the rubbers!
That could really fit to Micha’s dream, because he was begging his mother to become a heroe and save the world! + it is possibe for mich ro be dead because at the begining of season three spoilers they said that micha’s story line will end.
So f Micha dies Niki would promisse to herself that nobody else will die!
Because for her to lose Sister, husband and Sonne would be hard to overcome.

I was also thinking it might of been noah bennet as he dosnt want people finding out about claire. So when nathan was about to reveal his ability he can fly he might of said about his real daughter claire being able to regenerated, so again mr bennet was protecting his daughter, so they were safe. So he shot him.
I am positive it was peter pettrelli as he walked the same and had the same hair style. I wasnt sylar as he didnt look like him, but i might of been noah bennet as he went out and said i will be back like the other person anna it might be over claire

If you haven’t been following the interviews, Adrian Pasdar has alluded that Nathan and his shooter were in on the shooting together. It was a staged shooting and Nathan was wearing a bullet-proof vest. So if he was in cahoots with a partner, wouldn’t it make sense that it would be Peter??? Don’t forget, Peter has been around both Matt Parkman/Maury Parkman AND Candace, so he can create illusions both physically (Candace) and mentally( The Parkmans) so perhaps the Peter standing next to Nathan is just an illusion to throw the authorities off of the real shooter, who is Peter, and who neither Nathan nor Peter want to get caught. It KILLS me that everyone is so quick to jump on the ‘Time Travel’ theories. Those theories are so pointless and stupid because once you start playing with time theories, they can go absolutely anywhere and would be a writers’ cheap way of cleaning up a continuity mess they’ve made, and I’d like to think the Heroe’s writers are smarter than that. If you are going to talk about time travelling theories, then at least use your head. There is NO way Peter would come back and shoot his brother because he thinks it is Sylar because the events of last season would have COMPLETELY changed that timeline and future Peter wouldn’t even know about the possible timeline of Sylar being president even existing. The LAST glimpse into the future that we have seen was the future where the Shanti virus had broken out, and Peter left his girlfriend there. The only possible reason that a future Peter would have to come back from the future to the present is to bring his girlfriend back to her own time as not to create a time paradox. All that being said, I wouldn’t be so quick to assume that a “dark future Peter” came back and shot his brother. You need to stop watching soap operas.

Let’s say I agree with you in some way… This thing really has no end! But think…
If Nathan went public with al this Being a Hero, All heroes would have to hide! Some of them would even be treated like different species, monsters, mutants and so on… Imagine someone like Maya… she doesn’t want to but still hurts (kill people)…
The only way is to stay hidden, secret Heroes… Than they do more good than harm people.
This is personaly what I suppose is the whole thing ‘To shoot Nathan Patreli’, and it won’t go any further from this particular point…
One that concerns me is; How nathan knew he was going to be shot?
+ How Niki survived the fire.
At the end of the day we will see Niki and Nathan being a couple…

I can’t recall, but have we EVER seen Niki get hurt? Perhaps she has super strength AND invulnerabliity. In most comics, those two powers go hand in hand.
As far as keeping the Heroes hidden in the shadows, that is the whole dilemma isn’t it. If you TRULY want to change the world for the better, if you TRULY want to use these powers, these gifts from God, to their FULL potential in helping mankind….you CAN’T remain hidden. That is the sacrifice a Hero has to make in order to truly be a hero. You must give up your own safety, your own wants and needs, your privacy, your social life, your connections to loved ones. That is the price that MUST be paid in order to be a Hero. In MY opinion, THAT is where the true villainy lies, in in-action. Selfishly protecting your own interests over that of mankind. A Hero NOT using their powers to their full potential is the same as a passerby witnessing a rape and not doing anything to stop it. In my opinion the act of not acting is as bad if not worse than the crime itself. See “Boondock Saints.” I think the real question regarding all this is whether or not the writers of the show are ready to contend with their fictional world changing so drastically and dealing with all the logistical nightmares that would come along with trying to create a gritty realistic world where super-heroes are a part of everyday life and are known to the public. Would they take the route of Wildcats 3.0 or a Youngblood where the superheroes and villains are seen as celebrities and are in the limelight, OR will it be more like the Authority where the heroes walk a fine line between saviors and dictators, OR will it be like the Marvel universe where most are looked down upon like lowly genetic mutations and are feared more than loved and have to contend with registering themselves, OR will they just continue to play silly games behind the scenes and never truly become heroes that are using their powers to make the world better. A perfect example would be Alcoa from the Heroes graphic novels where her power was to grow plant life from scratch, and grow it oversized, i.e. fruits and vegetables. Now, if you had a way to end world hunger, and you didn’t share it with the rest of the world, wouldn’t that make you a villain?
Yeah… Furthermore you realize that the writers have to end up the whole being hidden under your shadow thing. As I said before I personaly prefer Heroes to do what they are ment to… Like Niki, yeah back to Niki. As they said in the past Micha’s storyline will END, that would be kind of shocking for any mother, loosing your sonne, your only sonne… Yeah do you remember Micha asking Niki and DL to be heroes like fantastic four… Yeah I reckon that Niki will Help because her son died and she will promiss to help the ones that need help. No more dying! She has done enough of bad in the past. NOW IT’S THE ERA OF HEROES. Yeah Niki/Jessica was a villain, and as they have said previoulsly some villains will becone heroes.
Well it’s only my way of thinking… Perhaps, Niki and Nathan fightnig evil in front of the public… Bank rubberies? Villains?

But it would have to be a different kind than Clair or Adam has, because Niki was acctually infected by Shanti Virus… otherwise Mohinder would say ‘Niki you do not have a Virus’ In one of the spoilers they said that we will learn more about the evolution of these abilities…

Ok i love heroer it is part of my life but why is every one jumping to conclusion when no one really noes what is going on cos most of it hasnt been filmed so how do u no what is happening before tim kring
Actually, most of the season HAS been filmed. They wanted to get a large start like they did in season one so they can tweak and change things on the fly from week to week based on viewer response.
But more to your point, prognosticating is a huge part of the fun isn’t it? Why else would you come to these types of sites other than to try and find out or figure out what is going to happen next? I just commented on how I find it funny that whenever there is something that doesn’t have a clear cut explanation or seems hard to imagine how they are going to explain the situation, people always jumps on the ‘time-travel’ bandwagon.
I would also like to add that whoever the person is that wrote the reason why Peter exploded and did bad things last season was because he absorbed Niki’s split personality, should have their television and any sharp objects taken away from them immediately.
Also, to the person above saying that Niki couldn’t be invulnerable due to the fact she had the Shanti virus….invulnerablity and healing are NOT the same thing. If you are a comic fan, as I’m sure you are, think of Wonder Woman and Wolverine. Niki is more like WW, her skin can’t easily be punctured or hurt, but if someone DID actually manage to cut her, she’d heal as slowly as a normal person. Adam Monroe is like Wolverine, he CAN be cut and hurt, however he instantly heals. I’ve NEVER seen a comic character that had Super Strength AND instant Healing abilities, however most of your characters that have Super Strength MUST also have invulnerability otherwise they would constantly be breaking their own bones when they hit something with their super strength. If the average person could punch 100 lbs. per square inch without breaking their hand(this is just for example so do not feel the need to look that stat up and correct me) and let’s say that with Niki’s superstrength she can punch 10 times harder than that, wouldn’t it only be logical that her bones and skin be 10 times more dense in order to compensate. What would be the point of being able to punch down a steel door if it shattered every bone in your arm when you did it?

So If you have superstrength you bone and skin structure has to differ from normal human being’s skin and bones… Logically comprehensive!
I also thought about it because how could Niki be punching without the scratch on her…
However, the fire explosion would leave nothing left of hers. So… we have Ali Larter set up for next season and she will be Adrian’s lover… great. But how did she survive? maybe she found a secret way out of maybe somebody like Hiro or peter teleported to this moment to save her because with her they could be more effective in fighting the Villains!
Back to Niki… super strength +invulnerablity, done! I bet everyone agrees…
We can’t forget than Jessica was real! Thing with tatoo. It appeares when jessica comes, which I reckon is a part of jessica, or niki’s power… What if heroes can have more than one ability?

Heroes is more than just a comic book, or some kind of animated movie… it’s seen as reality… its purpose is to show the viewer how would it be in our real world. For instance people from world’s greatest laboratories would CUT ‘the others’ in small pieces to see what makes them ‘tick’
I have no further word on this and I hope that people see the difference between commic book and Reality purposed series.

i think that now peter has niki/jessica power because when he was with caitlin and just tryed to kill the irish man he had a tatoo and i wondered what it was, but now i no it was dissappearing like when jessicca is going back to niki. when nathan got shot on ep 11 it could of been peters alter-ego side as niki and jessica have been outside together in season 1 if you think back, so maybe peters alter-ego side shot nathan. nathan isn’t dead as he says on you tube il tell you 1 thing “im not dead” niki was there also and said that 2 characters were going to be brought together and then she kissed nathan so maybe they will be together in series 3. i really hope them to won’t die as they are good charachters and they can’t die as as they can have claire, adam, peter. and maybe mohinders blood to bring them back to life.

WAIT WAIT WAIT… Just who does Sylar kill in season three (they said the shows biggest star)… Peter? cuz Peter can whoop Sylars ass… and Niki/Jessica’s split persona is a sickness not a power so Peter’s “alter-ego” can’t kill Nathan. he doesnt have one.
Thank you Auggy, that’s what i’ve been trying to say all along. This talk of Peter absorbing niki’s alter ego and him being bad makes no sense whatsoever.
Also on a side note, I have a sneaking suspicion that the posters David and Rafal are the same person because they both have the same silly logic and broken english when they type.
To the person saying there is a difference between comic books and the show because the show is more realistic……have you ever READ a comic? Have you ever read the Heroes Online Comic that comes out every week on the NBC website??? There are comic books that approach the super heroe genre in a gritty attempt at making it as realistic as superheroes can be, just like the show. It’s not a matter of comics being unrealistic and the show being realistic, it is a matter of style in how you tell the stories. The only thing that gives you the impression that the show is more realistic is because the Heroes World and its general public do not know the heroes exist, which in my opinion is the most UNrealistic part ABOUT the show. If thousands of people (and that is a low guess because we don’t even really know how many are out there) going back at least 400 years that we know of, and they have had the extraordinary powers we have seen so far, it would be next to impossible to conceal them from getting out. I’m sure the show will eventually address this by saying that all of the myths, legends and fairy tales (i.e. mermaids, hercules, even Jesus, were all actually real people with special abilities and that society was unwilling to accept them as real so they became myth.
One last thing….
Just because I don’t think Peter has an alter ego or is bad, does NOT mean that I don’t think that Peter could be the person that shot Nathan. In one of my previous posts I explained this, but just to recap, Pasdar in an interview eluded to the fact that he and the shooter were in on it together, and that he was wearing a bullet-proof vest. We know Peter was standing next to him which is why so many jumped on the time travel bandwagon and said it was evil Peter back from the future, however I believe that a more likely scenario if Peter actually was involved in the shooting would be that he used either Candace’s power (which he would have got at the plaza, OR the Parkman’s power which can also create mental illusions. The major hole in that theory is that the speech was being televised which would mean the Parkmans’ power is out, which leaves Candace’s ability, which Peter has never been shown using before, and we already know that Peter has a hard time calling on powers that he doesn’t even know he has.
Here is a question for everyone to ponder and give their opinion on……..is it possible for Peter to absorb the Haitian’s power? If the Haitian’s power is to negate everyone elses powers when they are near him, and Peter’s power is to absorb everyone elses powers when they are near him…..is it even possible for Peter to absorb the Haitian if the Haitian is negating his power to absorb????? They’ve been around each other already, so the final question is……does Peter have the Haitian’s power already and not know it? I’d LOVE to hear some intelligent opinions on this.
Ahh… Yeah, it might be possibe for Hatian to negate Peter’s power. Well, my way of thinking is that Hatian blocks Peter everytime he could have been able to absorb his power. If Peter had Hatian’s power he will becone even stronger and not being able to stop if he turns bad. If that’s the case, Hatian knows that he has to negate peter.

I think it is Peter who shoots Nathan because as we’ve seen before Hiro and Peter both have the ability to travel to and from the future so I think it most likely future Peter. Future Peter probably lives in a different world just as he did when NY blew up only this time Nathan actually got to announce that he has the ability to fly and as time goes on I would imagine more and more people would come forward saying I can do this or I can do that so future Peter is coming back to fix it by shooting his own brother and you never know future Peter may just turn out to be a Villan…but I have no idea ill be watch Season 3 to find out

Peter already used Eden’s power. He doesn’t know he has it, but it came out one time without him thinking about it. Just before Simone dies, he’s arguing with Isaac and he yells “Don’t lie to me!” (with Eden’s creepy split-voice), and it makes Isaac tell the truth. =P
