I was wondering… If syler took nathan’s place, would he have nathan’s ability? ability to fly?? I mean he just shape shifted and got “hypnotized” by matt not actually changed into Nathan P. Which means he will still have his abilities (I kinda see where they’re going with this though. like the sneak pick of vol.5, nathan could work out the clock stuff and basically he will discover himself as syler sooner or later) and not have nathan’s cause syler never had flying ability. Arent I right? I’m just really confused. I can see where they are going but they’re making things way too complicated right now. Can anyone explain this???
I’d say it’s fairly safe to say Sylar has Nathan’s ability. He does still have his old abilties like TK and Shapeshifting, but because he currently believes he is Nathan he doesn’t realise that he still has them.
But, he also possesses Nathan’s ability, either by the empathy aspect of his IA (he was sucking memories out of his possessions), or by Matt’s brainwashing causing him to manifest it somehow. I believe the former. How do we know this? Well, technically we don’t- Sylar floated down in An Invisible Thread, but that could easily have been telekinesis. But if Sylar doesn’t have Nathan’s ability the entire illusion Angela and Matt set up would collapse the moment “Nathan” realises that he couldn’t fly. I seriously doubt this will be how that storyline plays out, therefore I suggest Sylar has flight, one way or other.

oh for sure! It’s totally a stretch to say that she knew all along, there’s holes in the theory…I just got tired of everyone whining about how the writers screwed up…I think it’s a lot more constructive (especially on a forum where people are suppose to talk up the show, not tear it down) to think about how the writers might actually be setting up a big revelation. I mean, as far out as my theory is, the only thing that might be more ridiculous is accusing the writers and actors of not knowing their own show just as well as the viewers, you know?

i think it’s safe to say he is, and should jessalyn gilsig (meredith gordon) leave the show she just signed up to be on, they’ll be bringing her and her brother back in a hurry.

I know what you mean! And it is kinda obvious, though, that the writers foreshadowed Sylar becoming ‘Nathan’ in the first place (which shows that they knew where they wanted to take the show). I mean, the whole “Gabriel Petrelli” thing, Angela’s deception… I guess she should have been careful what she wished for, huh?
@Amit i really whant to believe in that and i think thats a good point, after all its heroes!;D and yeah, about Claire’s blood, lol, why not to use it again? whatever, i really like Heroes and i cant wait to see s4

I was just thinking about something….
Let’s say Peter did take all of Sylar’s abilities and in s4, they began to all awaken in him unexpectedly like s1 all over again and leads him to unravel the secrets the new Company hides….
I think it was a good way to keep the show fresh, killing nathan the way they did will bring a separate storyline where sylar fights within himself. And for the love of god will the shows producers/writers please give hiro and peter their powers back, if sylar does come back, which he probably will, peter WAS the only one strong enough to stop him, if he comes back without peter having his powers no one should be able to stop him. and hiro is just funny so i want his powers back lol

I’m sorry. Sticking a foot-long shard of glass in the back of his head isn’t stopping him? Erasing his entire memory and replacing it with Nathan’s didn’t “stop” him? You don’t need a person with multiple abilities to stop Sylar. The Hatian at the very very least is proof of that.
Matts power has come a long way since he started out in s1. From just reading people’s thoughts to manipulating their dreams and nightmares, to putting thoughts into ppls heads and telling them what to, mind control, to erasing entire memories like the haitian and then making you think your someone else when your not. (i might not have gotten the order in which he manifested these abilities).

i think heroes rocks especially with peter being the main man but actually how come peter gets power easily and sylar has to struggle cuttin off people’s heads to get his powers. if he could only bargain so as to get his powers.

Who the heck is HRG? Is that supposed to be Noah Bennett? Looking forward to the Fourth Season. REALLY glad they god rid of Maya… she was supremely annoying. I hope they heal Hiro’s head and give Ando more powers. I was kind of hoping that they were going to make Sylar a good guy and his life meaning by having him help people with abilities and they instead decided on the Sylar multiple personalities route…not HATING just disappointed…wanted to see the future where he has a kid come true. Keep up the good work writers!!

As for the Sylar/Nathan thing…I don’t think it was the best ending but it certainly was creative. Nathan has Sylar’s abilities so he has the ability to understand the way things work, which would explain why he was able to determine the clock was running a minute and a half fast. So we can’t write that off as something that shows Sylar will return…even though that wouldn’t surprise me…that guy just won’t stay down…

And for the record. I loved s3 finale. All shows need cliffhangers like this. The Nathan/Sylar thing was great. And I lvoed the line “I always like ‘The Company’”. Season 4 is going to be great

just bcoz things didn’t turn out the way YOU wanted it to be doesn’t mean heroes season3 sucks. no, it’s not like that. gotta be open-minded. c’mon, WRITERS know what they’re writing. and don’t be so sure about what’s gonna happen. most of you say that the future of heroes is predictable now. don’t conclude just yet. you’re not geniuses, you can’t foresee the future, you can’t read the minds of the writers. i know a lot of you expected that peter and nate would SAVE THE DAY, but did that happen? no. so stop whining about it just bcoz the writers didn’t do what you want. if ya’ll are so good at making a story then why don’t ya’ll go make your own tv show. hunh.

It’s Tracy.
Firstly, the writers confirmed that there would be 3 deaths – 2 real and 1 fake. Daphne = real, Nathan = real (the real Nathan is dead, Sylar is only assuming Nathan’s form/ identity), therefore the only other character that we were familiar with at the time that ‘died’ was Tracy. Since she is back, hers was obviously the fake death.
Secondly, the writers said that next season will see the return of a character we thought we wouldn’t see again. A lot of people thought that Tracy was shattered into pieces, and that she couldn’t come back from that (just as many people noticed the blink/ wink/ teardrop – whatever it was! – and suspected that she wasn’t really dead, but there you go).
Last but not least, the woman we saw was hunting down former Building 26 agents. Why would Barbara be doing this? Tracy was held captive – and you might as well say she was tortured – in Building 26. Tracy has a motive. What’s Barbara’s?
P.S. Tracy’s power was originally ice-based. Ice is water in another form. She would have had to melt from ice into water after she was shattered to be able to re-form. It’s logically obvious who the woman is, and it’s not Barbara.
P.P.S. It has been stated that Tracy has a big part to play next season. Tracy… not Barbara. So Tracy is still alive – as we all saw.

Just to add to my previous comment… I followed the link you posted for heroes wiki, and while reading a synopsis of the character and The Agent story, I noted that this Barbara is a circus performer (a fake mermaid). Apparently, the next season features a circus and some performers… All I can say is, we’ll have to wait and see if this will correspond to the circus in The Agent, and if ‘Barbara’ will make an appearance, and if she turns out to be the third triplet.
But I still say that the woman we saw in Invisible Thread is Tracy.
Yeah!!! Why would you think it’s a different sister? Tracy blinked her eye when she shattered. When you saw that happen that should have told you she did not die. One thing for the record Jessica was Niki’s DEAD sister as her alter ego not meaning her sister was alive. When she faced her father Jessica was incontrol of Niki THAT IS WHY HE FEARED HER BECAUSE HE WAS TALKING TO JESSICA NOT NIKI.
