Many spoiler fans are already wondering what are the plans for Heroes next season. At the moment there’s not much to talk about, but here are some storyline tidbits we collected. After episode 3×25 I’m sure we will know a lot more.
Heroes Season 4 ( Volume 5 ) is called Redemption and it will see the Heroes return to their Season 1 lifestyles. Current plan is to shorten the season to 18-20 episodes.
The show’s writers have already started planning for the show’s fifth volume, which will involve a series of mysterious deaths. Watchmen anyone?
Aaccording to Bryan Fuller it really will be a brave new era for the show. Bryan tells us:
“Fugitives was such a dark chapter in the history of Heroes, so we look at Redemption as a unifying theme for next season. We’re going to see redemption for all of the characters in one respect or another. Our goal going into season four is taking every character and making that character’s story evolve into an entire series. We just want the smorgasbord of Heroes to be as satisfying for everybody.” Smorgasbord or no, among those Heroes getting a special treatment next year is Masi Oka’s Hiro Nakamura. Bryan Fuller says that, “The Hiro story for season four is the best story we’ve ever come up with for Hiro. It’s so emotional and exciting and adventurous.”
Claire will be back next season ( damn ) and it sounds like Danko lives to fight another day. The idea is to keep him out there in the world and available to come back.
As soon we get more spoilers – they will be on site. We will continue to bring you all the latest Season 4 news and spoilers so stay tuned. If you are not subscribed, do so ( click here ) or follow us on Twitter – we are giving away Season 3 DVD.

@ Swm
I’m not so sure that Sylar’s obsession with Claire is completely gone… as we know, ‘Nathan’ is still bothered by – and correcting – clocks, so IA is still very much active as an ability, which suggests that Sylar isn’t as completely locked away in his mental prison as he should be. IMO it’s only a matter of time before ‘Nathan’ starts to creep Claire out for one reason or another – although it would probably happen just before Sylar starts to reasserts himself over Nathan’s influence (otherwise it would be kinda sick to see lol!)
@sk74 I just want to say i hope everything you said to bruno actually happens next season, that would be a hell of season!
noticing clocks, how thing work.. – intuitive aptitude
thats in his DNA
obsession with Claire is not
sylar has a thing for claire right?
@peter: It’s yet to really be seen what is driving him to pursue Claire. He might be attracted to her physically. He may believe them both to be soulmates since neither of them can ever die. He may just enjoy a good challenge. But yeah, he’s definitely infatuated.
nick: weird. it will be really weird since he has the shape of nathan! hahahah talk about occuward
Yeah they have a chance to turn this plot into a real creepshow. I’m hoping they spare us from that. lol.
I don’t think Matt would threaten with “releasing” Sylar again, I mean, Noah and Angela will probably piss him off, and he will react, but not with that! Unless Matt becomes a villain, which would be great, cause he would be a very powerful one. However, this isn’t likely either…
As for Samson Gray: I’d love to see John Glover again the show, since he’s an excelent actor, and his role in Heroes is (at some point) similar to his role in Smallville as Lex Luthor, and the ones who watch that show know what I’m talking about. However, I’m not so sure that he’s going to appear again in Heroes… I think he already died, which would be logical since he was already in his hour, and after what Sylar did to him… Well, he couldn’t live too much.
Then we have the minor spoiler that the villain in Redemption is probably going to be a woman. The first woman that comes to my mind when thinking about potencial villains is Alice Shawn (Angela’s sister). We’ve also seen what Tracy is doing for revenge, but I think that’s only against Danko’s agents, and not to the rest of the world, why would she want to kill everyone? I mean, she “sacrificed” herself for a noble cause, so it wouldn’t make sense if she’s the villain trying to kill the heroes, but what about her sister Barbara? We’ve all been speculating a lot about this misterious Ali Larter character, but we know nothing for certain, so, she could be anything, from superhero to supervillain! (I have my theories about her and her (probably mental) ability).
Anyway, getting back to Sylar/Nathan: You probably already noticed that the present is becoming very similar to the future showed in Season One (except for the bomb, of course). But in that future, Nathan was dead, and Sylar had the shape-shipting ability with which he looked like Nathan and was the President of the USA. In that future, Peter seemed to have as many powers as Sylar, and they fought to each other. The thing here is that in this future, Sylar knows who he is, and he poses as Nathan willingly.
I know that everything has changed since the cheerleader was saved in season one, however, maybe there are some things that were destined to happen (i.e. Sylar President posing as Nathan Petrelli).
@ Bruno
IDK, there are numerous possibilities that I’m thinking of right now where Matt could end up unleashing Sylar, both accidentally and intentional. (My personal favourite… he might have to try another mindwipe for any number of reasons, and the guilt that he feels/ felt for effectively ‘killing’ Sylar in the first place reawakens the guilt that Sylar felt over HIS first kill – Brian Davies.)
Remember, Matt has a son now – and possibly a complete ‘happy family’ with Janice as well – and he would do ANYTHING to keep that. Think of Dark Parkman from FYG. He killed Noah to protect Baby Matthew. And sold out Claire.
Plus, Sylar would make one helluva ‘guard dog’, don’t you think? But how long could Matt hold that leash?
Oh yeah, and apparently Samson will be in the next season, he’s not dead yet. Given Sylar’s resilience (he’s been a survivor from season 1, long before he got Claire’s power) and the fact that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, I don’t think he’s gonna succumb to the cancer that easily. Especially now that he knows where he can get the cure for it… it reawakened The Hunger in him.
ther dumb…if nathan is really SUPOSED to be nathan and think he REALLY is nathan
once he finds out he cant fly but can do so much more other stuff its over lol…thats gonna b funny as hell and hard for even angela and matt to explain lol
nd neone else who really knows him can tell just bcuz of the fact he cant fly…
unlesss sylar took his power witout openin his brain like he did to the shapeshifter…
and can anyone tell how or wat power sylar has when he appered in dankos car that one time then up on rooftop and when he was outside that guys apartment then inside ><

See, I take this as conclusive proof that Sylar does have Flight. The entire illusion would come crashing down around Angela and Noah in a heartbeat if he didn’t. Exactly how and when he got it is up for debate- but if anybody thinks Sylar can’t fly in Volume 5, they are going to be in a shock.
As for Danko’s car, we don’t know. We know it’s not teleportation via BTE, but that’s all. It’s probably going to be explained later down the line.
@bruno Behind the Eclipse has confirmed that we haven’t seen the last of samson yet. They’ve yet to specify when (this coming season?) or where (on the show, or the webcomics?), but they’ve assured us his story isn’t over.
I agree about the five years gone future coming to pass. I think the characters of the future (future Hiro) included, were mistaken in thinking they could prevent that future by altering a couple isolated events.
“Save the cheerleader, save the world”
and of course the whole explosion in NYC.
I think they thought stopping those events from occurring would prevent Sylar from taking office. Its my theory that they were mistaken, and like you said, Sylar assuming Nathan’s form and becoming president was just bound to happen.
And I can TOTALLY see Matt unleashing Sylar if Noah or Angela piss him off, he doesn’t exactly love either of them right now, plus as SWM pointed out, he’s got a son to protect. In the 5YG future, Matt worked for Sylar…at the time we assumed he didn’t know Nathan was really Sylar, but now I’m beginning to wonder. Maybe Sylar arranges asylum for Matt and his family as long as Matt works for him. I mean it’s a smart move on Sylar’s part if he tries to recruit Matt, as apparently Matt’s the only one right now that could probably match Sylar (powers wise).
@SWM I can’t wait for the explanation behind the Danko’s car incident. That scene was ridiculous (and I say that with love for the show), but they’ve got to come up with one hell of an explanation. What secret nifty power has Sylar been holding out on us?
I think that Sylar was so vested in wanting to be Nathan that when he kept changing into him, he was changing his DNA structure to the point that he may have changed the genetic markers that denote powers, something that he would be able to unconsciously do through his IA. Other than this, it could be that angela feads him the power as we only saw Nathan’s body covered up when they were changing Sylar.
Peter is a difficult one, after all he didn’t absorb all of Sylar’s abilities at the end of season 1 when they were fighting (didn’t gain super-hearing or chryokinesis for example). I would hope that his powers are currently limited because of his current inability to get past emotional barriers. He is not the same forgiving person, he does not empathise with Angela, Nathan, Mohinder or others, and he has a lot of bad memories such as leaving Caitlin in the alternate future. I think that he will be able to mimic when he lets his grudges go, meaning that Claire will be the first he copies.
Tracy poses a threat to the multi-powered characters because she is no longer entirely human, for example her power won’t be copied if she is in ice or water form, and she cannot be hurt by telekinesis. Matt Parkman can’t control her as her brain is no longer organic. The only power we have seen so far that could do her damage is the microwave ability shown by LUke, but then she might turn into steam. She has truly taken the next step to evolution.
On this note what about Meredith and Flint? The latter stated that he couldn’t be hurt by flame, but neither have been seen since the explosions of Pinehurst and Primatech. Are they still out there?
Hiro and Ando will have a very interesting story, I think that it would be good to see Hiro unable to use his powers without Ando’s help, as he would become depenant, something that would be a huge emotional struggle. Perhaps his sister could also be given a power, to further emphasize his helplessness, or are we to assume she is like nathan and didn’t inherit anything. On the point, is her mother the same as Hiro’s mother? After all in season 2 it was hinted that Angela and KAito had an affair. I do hope that when they eplore the beginning of the original company that we finally find out what Kaito’s ability was.
How did the 4 who escaped form Coyote Sands get together with the others, Adam Monroe will have to be back in the flashbacks to fully explain how the twelve came together, which I look forward to as it would show him decieving telepaths and precognitives.
I think it may be time to leave Mohinder be, he is running out of interest, unless he is an overseeing figure in the new company, after all he has Molly in his protection still, and she will be needed to locate post-humans. I hope that next season will see a return to the first season’s path, showing separate story lines, with the company as a backdrop, only being featured in 5 or 6 episodes and minor characters such as Charlie being introduced. It would be interesting to see main characters being omitted from the new company and new ones being selected for their powers – perhaps we will see the Haitian return in full capacity.
I think Micah will have to be integrated with the company as he could shut it down otherwise, in this situation it may be possible to work Monica into the plot, as she could train the new human agents in martial arts etc. I think we can certainly expect her to appear as she is pretty much the only character from season 2 that the audience have missed in season 3.
There was an episode where Hiro accidently travels to the future and is trapped by the government and where future hiro rescues his younger self. In that episode, “Nathan” aka Sylar was president… I think “Nathan” learns the truth about himself and instead of killing Matt, Angela etc.. he just keeps it to himself. He then becomes president and persuades Matt that working for him is the only way to keep his family safe. In this episode Nathan kills Claire… who didn’t know Nathan was really Sylar and has a fight with Pete, which is when Peter realises that Nathan is really Sylar (due to fire hands). So anyway, seasons 5 ends up back where we were in that episode in series 2? and nothing has altered the future.
at the moment on wiki monica is voted as the most favourite person to come back into heroes i really hope she does i love her power i think its ace. i so totally can not wait til season 5 i just wish it wud hurry up and be here lol
@Alim Jinnah, yes, we’re on a crash course for that future and some of things are the same, but happened in different occurences…Claire didn’t die when Sylar caught her, it was the 1st time he was able to cut her head open and get the healing ability in that future, but she wouldn’t have died. All we saw was the blood running down her face but she wouldn’t have died from that…either way as Angela said when future Peter came, he disrupted the time continium, allowing Sylar to still get that ability but years sooner than they could’ve prevented it…Noah is by himself split from his wife as the future showed…that also means it’s inevitable from Hiro to save Ando from eventually dying, which will probably be what awakens his full ability again…Peter also had multiple abilities so he should eventually re-connect with his empathy and it would be a crowd pleaser Kring for you to bring Claude back and let him re-train Peter on re-surfacing his abilities…I could see Matt making a deal with Sylar if he came back and felt it was the only way to save his family…
as far as why Tracy would be against the Heroes, because with them now having backing from the Gov’t, they are being supported by the same people who tortured her and who’s she’s getting revenge against! I feel eventually she will come for Nathan, which will be a rude awakening or one of Sylar’s latent abilities will come out and she’ll know it’s not him…Well, if we see the Future Hiro and Peter we saw earlier, then we should be in for a treat…what about that ability Peter had that put you in someone else’s body? That shit was ridiculous!!
Well it is idiotic !!! Nathan died and they use Sylar to bring him back! I would have used Claires blood like they did with Nathan (then it was Kenseis blood) and with Noah when he was killed by shot in the eye! So its ridiculus!
Ricoom:
Nathan possibly bled out. Claire’s blood has been shown to repair tissue damage, not the same thing.
Also, several hints have been dropped throughout the season that Angela foresaw this future playing out, and as she often says, she can’t change her dreams, but she can push the outcome. Think about it, Nathan revealed people with abilities to the entire world…how many Knox’s, Flint’s, and Sylar’s of the world did he just piss off? Claire’s blood isn’t always going to be around to watch his back, but preserving his mind in an indestructible body…that’s another story. I’m not saying it isn’t twisted, quite the contrary, this is right up Angela’s alley. Which just proves my point further.
Not ridiculous…just requires some thinking. I mean, if we’re all just viewers of the show, and the option of claire’s blood occurred to all of us…don’t you think it occurred to the writers? Or to Jack Coleman as he’s playing the scene, don’t you think at one point he might have said, “hey guys wait a second, I’m pretty sure this doesn’t make sense. My character was saved from a similar situation last season when he got shot in the eye, right?”
They have an explanation, probably similar to one of the ones I just proposed, have some faith in the show.
the water lady isnt tracy its barbera she is going too be the big bitch of season 4 along with dr zimmerman who was the doc with dr seresh senior in the 1961 episode set in the past he was also at the start of season 3 when tracy found out that she was a lab experiment and one of triplets
i think its pretty obvious peter can still only take one ability. the one question no one has asked yet is….. when peter was in the form of the president he shook sylars hand and turned back to peter. Did he at that point decide to take a different power????
also it was possible that he took more than one of sylars abilities. remember sylar didn’t get flight until after he left with nathan through the window/balcony so even if peter took all sylars powers sylar wouldn’t have had flight to take.
why would barbara be hunting building 26 employees? surely tracey would be the one doing that considering she was the one held hostage. logic people logic.
where was the Kensie sign in volume 4 ?
UGH! Does anyone know when the next season is coming out? My husband and I are so addicted! I have dreams of ClaireBear and Hiro…and We cant wait to see whats going to happen next.
i don’t know if the 3rd season finale sucked or not.
i hated what happened to Nathan … and turning Sylar into Nathan? geez what a smart move that was ???!!!
that was their one chance to get rid of Sylar once and for all !!!
What the hell with Hiro and Peter not getting their power back? They are two of the best Heroes characters, and they’re as weak as a tomato.
The new Tracy Strauss is cool though !!!
I hope Tim doesn’t ruin the Heroes series !!! or i’m swithching to True Blood !!!
wait, wait… I just read a post on here about the writers claiming they’re not bringing timetravel back… Is this true? 0o
*looks at Season 1 and 2 DVD’s* I think I’m just going to stick with the early seasons, if it is. :\
I like a lot of the ideas about Peter having Sylar’s ability and becoming like him in a way. That can help him understand Sylar more and make him less apprehensive about his own abilities. I also think everyone is going to see a different side of Peter when he learns the truth about Nathan. His brother is dead, his mother lied to him passing Sylar as Nathan. His father took his ability and tried kill him. Only one he can trust is Clair. Peter’s whole family treated him like he was nothing, making forgiveness seem too weak and his retribution the best option.
Now if he find out the truth he can become a dark avenger holding nothing back, kicking ass, taking his justice out and his vengeance one everyone.
No one ever believed in Peter. His mom chose Nathan in season one, his bother thought he was week hearted many times and deceived him when he captured him.
His father hated he was a nurse, took aways his ability and then wanted Sylar to kill him. So if Peter can still be the same person after all this then kill him off because he is a bigger sucker than he is a hero!!!!!

Well to help explain your question. I believe that Peter can only take the ability of one person at a time not just one ability at time. So when he touched Sylar all his abilities were taken as well. Thats why Peter needed to touch Nathan many times to regain his ability of flight. Since Sylar has many abilities Peter can take them too, but once he touches someone else he loses those abilities and get only the new one.
I just wish Peter had his old ability it was a lot better. The funny thing is Peter will wonder why he still has Sylar’s ability if Sylar’s dead and has been only in contact with Nathan.
It does suck for Peter, his ability to only take one ability then lose when he touches someone else makes having a sexual experience pretty crapy.
Slyar could have taken Nathan’s ability through empathy when he was nocked out.
Not saying he did but that could have been the easy fix.
Also Sylar would quickly vanish and end up on the roof after being in the car with Agent Taub. I do not think they show you every ability he has gotten. They did not show how he has gotten some before either.
The story has got a little bit warped but i honestly think that Heroes has matured as a TV show. Season 4 (redemption) will probably show us the start of the “new company”, i personally cant wait, i predict that the main hero of the season will be Hiro, i feel that this character in particular has so much to offer and if his abillites are restored to normal he could bend and shape anything just with the blink of an eye (imagine that Peter is gonna die, he could stop time and sort it, or even turn back the clock and sort it out) I think that the “new company” may succeed were the previous failed. With Peter and Claire the new company have more compassion than before.
hey since sylar is the ‘new nathan’ does that mean he has nathans powers? also i want claire to have more power than just healing/ never die, i think it would be more interesting if it were like that! also does this mean that peter has sylars powers too?
yeah I think something is definately going to happen with claire. they wouldn’t have her on this long if they didn’t intend to use her character in an interesting way, perhaps she will have some connection with Hiro in the end or something. Tracy, we all know is evil because she drowns all these people. My theory is that she will go after some of the heroes who never helped her or made her life difficult, that’s where the new characters may come into it, and more deaths.
I heard that mr muggles was going to die by Sylar. it’s weird all that because I thought that sylar forgot who he was but it might have been a trick with all the powers he gained and he might remember everything, and might have picked up nathans flying ability which I’m pretty sure of. I dunno why i write to these things, my theories never work but comment anyway people!
no1 saw the 1st season? syler is supposed 2 become Nathan.
Question – When Nathan died… Why did they not just inject him with claires blood?
im i so sorry i saw 3×25 for the millon time and the guy didnt heal
and dont tell me its coz its a past injery
when clair died in the eclips she heald her self after the eclips was over
ohhhhhhhh
i truly wish there is a twist in it coz i love pete with powers
Hello all…. I’m big fan of Heroes… I’m from Indonesia…
I can’t wait any longer to watch this movie….
i really really want daphne back and it wasnt cool how they saved her from the building and then she died like two episides later. i want her back
obviously that’s not tracy or niki. those characters are dead. it’s barbara. additionally, the nathan/sylar cover-up isn’t going to stick, because sylar’s power renders him “hungry” for more powers, which is why he is compelled to kill. an obvious result will be nathan (sylar) killing people and taking their powers, regardless of who he thinks he is. he could think that he was mickey mouse. it doesn’t make a difference because he’s still going to be a murderer. also, sylar can fly now because we saw him flying at the end of 3×25 when he through nathan through the window. he has demonstrated before, against elle and the shapeshifter, that he can take powers without exposing the brain. finally, sylar isn’t invincible, regardless of how many powers he gathers – he wouldn’t have a chance against the hatian.
“obviously that’s not tracy or niki. those characters are dead. it’s barbara. ”
On the contrary. It most certainly is Tracy. The writers have confirmed that behind the scenes on a few occasions, plus there are several factors that point to it being Tracy. Her power was linked to ice, which is frozen water. Therefore, it’s logical that her ability would evolve to incorporate water as well. Also, since Tracy moved her eye after being shot, we know she could control herself after being frozen. Plus, Larter is now killing Building 26 agents. Danko’s team killed Tracy. You don’t think there might be a link there?
I hope Hiro does get special treatment next season. The last two seasons his entire time on screen has amounted to (and this includes ‘previously on Heroes’ clips) under 2 and a half hours (I know cos I recorded the episodes and out curiosity removed all scenes he wasn’t in before deleting the lot and that was the total length). The main leads have significantly reduced so he needs some more screen time (especially as the show is so dark these days, and he lightens the show).
i dont know. i’m opposed to ‘comic book death.’ if the writers have confirmed that it is tracy, that’s acceptable, but i think it’s a bad idea.
@ George ^ Not only the writers confirmed it but Ali Larter has as well. I hope they explain how she survived. I don’t believe we will be seeing Barbara as Bryan Fuller thought the whole “Triplet” idea a bit too much.
wake up people…………….
spread the peace…………
beat the indoctrination…………
illuminate urselves
@ Peter, what exactly did you have in mind?
one inconsistency i just thought of… in the first season we see niki standing over jessica’s grave. assuming of course that jessica looked just like niki (based on the alternate personality version), was there already one dead sister as the series began, who, for all we know, could have been barbara?
@george
uhm… the triplets were split up at birth. Jessica Sanders wasn’t Niki’s triplet, she was her adopted sister. So, no, she didn’t look like Niki.
Jessica was Nikki’s adopted sister. She died as a child and that’s why Nikki’s alter ego called herself Jessica. And about the triplets: if they are triplets they can not be all identical. Twins can only be identical if they are monozygotic. Triplets can not be monozygotic, only 2 of them can (but don’t have to) be monozygotic.
ah, i didn’t catch the bit about adoption in first season. good point regarding the triplets – probably another inconsistency as a result of jeff loeb’s terrible writing.
ps they really need to bring back the haitian. i loved how they used him during the first season, plus he was a great trump for all of the seemingly unstoppable characters.
