Many spoiler fans are already wondering what are the plans for Heroes next season. At the moment there’s not much to talk about, but here are some storyline tidbits we collected. After episode 3×25 I’m sure we will know a lot more.
Heroes Season 4 ( Volume 5 ) is called Redemption and it will see the Heroes return to their Season 1 lifestyles. Current plan is to shorten the season to 18-20 episodes.
The show’s writers have already started planning for the show’s fifth volume, which will involve a series of mysterious deaths. Watchmen anyone?
Aaccording to Bryan Fuller it really will be a brave new era for the show. Bryan tells us:
“Fugitives was such a dark chapter in the history of Heroes, so we look at Redemption as a unifying theme for next season. We’re going to see redemption for all of the characters in one respect or another. Our goal going into season four is taking every character and making that character’s story evolve into an entire series. We just want the smorgasbord of Heroes to be as satisfying for everybody.” Smorgasbord or no, among those Heroes getting a special treatment next year is Masi Oka’s Hiro Nakamura. Bryan Fuller says that, “The Hiro story for season four is the best story we’ve ever come up with for Hiro. It’s so emotional and exciting and adventurous.”
Claire will be back next season ( damn ) and it sounds like Danko lives to fight another day. The idea is to keep him out there in the world and available to come back.
As soon we get more spoilers – they will be on site. We will continue to bring you all the latest Season 4 news and spoilers so stay tuned. If you are not subscribed, do so ( click here ) or follow us on Twitter – we are giving away Season 3 DVD.

My point was that Jessica was not Nikki’s biological sister. She was the actual daughter of the family that adopted Nikki – therefore being her adopted sister
Yes, she did die as a girl, and Nikki (may or may not have) witnessed her death, which is the reason Nikki’s alternate personality calls herself Jessica. I was only explaining that she was not Barbara
Anyway, I did not know that about triplets (actually, now that I’m typing this, that sounds familiar. I guess that fact must have slipped my mind).
I would say that by the look of things, the next season of heroes is looking predictable, but we all know it never is. Tim Kring ceases to amaze me, although I have to admit i thought that the heroes season 3 finale was fairly weak. What he has done however is make links between things, like in season 1, angela stole socks from the shops, but we never knew why, and now we know that she stole them for alice. I think this season is gonna consist of connections. but lets face it. we all know who the villains are, if you don’t wanna know don’t look (Alice, Barbera, sylar if he comes back) and claire needs to get a good role at last instead of being the damsel in distress all the time.
Love heroes, it’s one of my favourite shows, that and 24 of course, they’re both so great and they have wonderfully interesting ideas, so all I have to say to heroes is get a move on and make the next season already!!
jeff loeb sucks. just saying.

Actually, the writers have said that we won’t be seeing Barbara any time soon (ie, in this season) – so she won’t be a villain. And Alice struck me as a character who won’t arrive again for a few seasons. Why? Because this show doesn’t have a tendency to introduce characters for one episode in one season, just to make them the villains in the next
Not to mention, Alice is too wrapped up in her ability to be the villain this season. What I mean, is there is absolutely no way Alice can enter a city, without being noticed as a superpowered individual. I don’t think the writers will reopen that can of worms just yet
As for Sylar. I agree, it’s looking like Sylar will return this season as a villain :\ I actually wish they would work on expanding his character this season WITHOUT making him a villain again.
However, Tracy probably will be the villain for the beginning half of the season (hopefully), followed by Sylar regaining his memory (hope not), and becoming the villain… again. (how predictable
)
But I guess we’ll see.
Sylar will be more confused than ever. I see the possibility of a redeeming Gabe next season, especially given the title. He could slowly regain his memory, but what if he refused to be a serial killer again for some reason ?
What Sylar always wanted was to be somebody. For example, if Nathan touched Micah’s belongings or the kid himself, he could get some “You could save us all” flashbacks or something and really try to be a hero.
I heard on a spolier site that with sylar/nathan its going to be a very fight club style split personality thing, so maybe nathan will wake up somewere with people dead or something like that without realising when sylar has taken over? also i hear that most heroes will have there own storys however they will probaly all link up at the end as always, i think we will mainly follow tracy on her revenge hunt and nathan/sylars mental battle, with maybe matt trying to start his family with a few temptations of his power, and apprently hiro has quite an intresting story line but havent heard anything about that, i realli hope that sylars dad learns how to heal himself and goes on a hunt for more power just so we have another powerfull villian who could maybe give sylar a good ass wooping for once maybe see sylar running scared,
i also think with the whole nathan sylar thing i think it will be a split personality this in teh first half of this season without nathan knowing hes allive then i think the ice women will come for nathan at the end of the volume as he was a slight douche bag to her and was the reason she was locked up so maybe when she attacks nathan/sylar sylars natural powers will come out in defence and then nathan will realise he has more power than he thought and maybe we will see sylar come out at the end
I just don’t understand why they can’t kill sylar and come up with a new villain! and making him as nathan is plain stupid… if they want to resurrect nathan they should have transfused claire’s blood to him just like what they did to noah! Noah was shot dead by mohinder remember??
@ Hydra
“…and making him as nathan is plain stupid… if they want to resurrect nathan they should have transfused claire’s blood to him ”
OK, so, you don’t think Claire’s blood being used to resurrect ANYONE at ANYTIME (therefore making every character potentially unkillable) is plain stupid?
- NATHAN got fried at the END OF SEASON 1, but Adam’s blood healed him… so he lived on.
- NATHAN got shot at the END OF SEASON 2 – and actually died on the op table – but miraculously came back to life (I think Future Peter healed him without realising he had that power)… so he lived on… again.
- NATHAN (yawn!) got his throat slit at the END OF SEASON 3… and you reckon they should have simply used Claire’s CureAll blood to bring him back YET AGAIN?!? (What, so we can wonder how he’s gonna die at the END OF THE NEXT SEASON?!?!? lol) So he would live on… yet again… And you don’t think that THAT is just plain stupid?
The Real Nathan Petrelli is gone. I personally hope it stays that way, coz it was getting prediculous (predictable & ridiculous) the way he kept cheating death. At least this way, he kinda lives on as a personality of Sylar’s (just one way of looking at it)… already his character and story arc becomes more interesting. IMO this wasn’t a stupid idea at all, more the opposite – creatively thought out, written, and executed. But I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
@Mihajlo
Triplets can indeed all be identical…. identical siblings are caused by a fertilised cell splitting into two (or more) clusters of cells. There is nothing to stop that process happening multiple times, or creating multiple groups of cells when it does so – it just becomes increasingly less likely to occur the more splits you have.
The other type of twin/triplet etc is dizygotic, i.e. from another fertilised egg. This can occur in addition to monozygotic, so you can have triplets where e.g. one egg remained whole and one split, giving two identical triplets and one not. Dizygotic becomes far more common with the higher multiple births, often caused by fertility treatment that involves multiple eggs being produced or implanted.
On a heroes related note, I don’t think it’s been mentioned if all three triplets are identical or not. But TV loves twins/triplets etc to be identical therefore when Barbara appears I bet she’ll be played by Ali.
Andy, we have no way of knowing FOR CERTAIN that Niki was biologically related to Jessica or not, as we do not know the identity of their parents.
The triplets for all we know (there are so many possibilities and NONE have been confirmed) could have been born to Niki’s parents who also had Jessica too, then the other two (Barbara and Tracy) could have been removed.
I’m not saying I believe this either way (the writers have never revealed it so I’m entitled to believe it could be either way) but to state as though it’s FACT (as in inarguable) that Jessica was NOT biologically related to Niki is inaccurate as it has NEVER been confirmed either way (another possibility is she was removed from her biological parents and stayed WITH one biological sister).
My point being we have no way of knowing so there’s no point telling people that Niki and Jessica definately weren’t biological sisters, no-one’s confirmed that so you know as much about it as the rest of us!
Peter should be the villain, Since he took Sylars powers, Peter should have that hunger for powers. At the same time “Nathan” will see the killings etc Peter has done and remember who he truly is and then the fight for the main villain will begin. There should also be something for Hiro since hes kind of losing his power, Like his future self comes to visit him and helps him gain his powers again however the present Hiro loses all faith in himself resulting in future Hiro to lose all his powers aswell
This is what i think will happen:
50% future from ‘The Second Coming’, 50% the future from ‘Five years gone’
I bet that he’ll somehow be reminded of that “I am sylar” he carved into his arm, because if you look at the clip, it never shows it disappearing completely, there’s a bit of a pink scar left behind. I’d love to see what Nathan would make of it.
OK someone said that why couldn’t clair revive Nathan with her blood. Who says she didn’t? We never saw Nathan’s body after the slithroat did we? So I think that mabey NIki is still alive. Monica will be brought back along with west and claude. Since Clair will probably go to collage mabey he will be there.
@Traka 06.15.09 at 1:07 pm
Where did you hear Claude was returning? I miss him!!!!
@ Traka
If the Real Nathan was revived with Claire’s Blood, then he’d be in perfect health, right? So why is Angela letting a Fake Nathan take his place, in her life and in his office?
To get Claire’s blood… Don’t you think this would arouse her suspicions in any way? Even if they wouldn’t tell her what it’s for? (Angela: “Hey Claire, we just need a bit of your blood…” Claire: “Yeah, ok, grandma, no problem.” I THINK NOT
Peter was supposed to be the gullible one lol!)
Huh? NIKI is still alive??? (I’m hoping you meant Nathan and just typed the wrong name?)
claire is REALLY boring all she can do is sit back and watch everyone else fight. she should learn jitsu or something. ah! i hated it when Elle got killed, she was my fav.
Tracy is dead… The women we all saw who’s power was water is Barbara.. Yes the 3rd triplet! Niki, Tracy, Barbara.. Remember Angela told Tracy about her sisters!!! I think Barbara was abducted like the rest of the heroes in the last season and now that she is free she wants revenge!!
@ Candice
(sigh)
OK. The writers themselves have confirmed that Tracy is NOT dead, that she will play a big part in the next season (as part of the new Company), and in a roundabout way they have confirmed that it was her, NOT Barbara, that we saw at the end of last season (”… the return of a character that many people thought they would never see again.” We have never seen Barbara, so she can’t RETURN for us to see her AGAIN, geddit?)
i think that pieter some time in the future will touch nathan/sylar then absorb his abilities then both of them will be confused about why pieter absorbs all these abilities and they both find out
nate i think its because angela,parkman and noah got to him to late(once dead for a while i think there dead for good)
why is claire still in heroes what use is she all she does is wine and its not like she can fight the worst part is she cant die
@ ash217:
Nathan was still bleeding when they found him. Noah’s wound had stopped bleeding by the time he was injected with Claire’s blood.
Nathan’s throat was cut, which would’ve killed him slowly. Noah was shot in the face, presumably dead on impact.
From the time Nathan’s throat was slit, to the time Noah, Angela and Parkman were together next to Nathan’s body (nevermind Angela and Parkman finding Nathan), would’ve been only a couple of minutes (Sylar went straight from killing Nathan, to following the president, to being tranq’ed by Peter).
Whereas Noah had to be driven from Costa Verde, California, to whichever Company facility he was in when they revived him. He had to be prepped and hooked up to an IV. Not sure how long that all would take, but something tells me it would take longer than however long it would’ve taken Angela, Parkman or Noah to realize they could revive Nathan with Claire’s blood.
@ Marc
I know it was a while back when you said this i just wanted to clear this up for other people but doyle is not dead. NBC released a web series of doyle trying to make his new life because rebel (mika) and clair helped him to have a new identity so when sylar used what looked like the puppet ability he just mimics it with his telekinesis power.
@chase..
Doyle is dead. That web series shows the time right before Doyle gets captured and killed by Sylar. Timeline looks like this..
Doyle comes to Claire as per a text from Micah
Claire helps Doyle escape from the agents in the alleyway and gets him new identity
Doyle lives his other life as in the web series
Sylar captures and kills Doyle and delivers the body to Danko.
@Dreaddie 06.28.09 at 9:26 pm
Sorry to burst your bubble but I guess you didn’t follow the I-Story or the online graphic novel. Doyle is not dead. When Sylar caught Doyle he did not kill him but he did incapacitate him. Danko took Doyle to Building 26 and Rachel rescued him from there. Nowhere Man takes place AFTER Rachel rescues him. Further, Doyle mentions being a guest of Building 26 in the hidden messages to Rachel in the Webisodes. You don’t have to take my word for it. Check I-Story and the Graphic novels over on NBC.com.
Tarot is right Dreaddie.
After Danko got his “gift”, Doyle was seen in Building 26 (in graphic novels) and later on got rescued by Rachel.
After this, he videotaped his own “redemption” in Claire’s attention (on webisodes). He is definitely not dead.
Through his mastery of TK, Sylar can do several things from turning a van upside down to giving himself limited flight. Sylar used this ability to move Claire around, not Puppetmastery. The only way he could’ve gotten Puppetmastery would’ve been through Empathic Mimicry (since Doyle’s head is intact), and writers would’ve let us know if it happened.
They need to just let peter get all his powers back because everyone knows he is the hero of the show and all this gay stuff of him losing them then regaining some and at one point he could fly and read minds so, obviously somethings up and why would he just chose to take shapeshifting why not all of them and right before they go in the room they say he cant fight sylar by taking all his powers. Also if they are going to keep claire around they need to put her in some more skimpy outfits cause thats all she is good for in the show is being a hot blonde or if not send her off to college and just keep her dad in my opinion he is a way better character
oh my god!!!!!! i think i just figured it out. if tracy was the water person then i know how she’s using water! her power was ice and when ice melts you get water. she got the power when nathan was keeping her under all the hot lights in the really hot room so her power melted!
@sk74 who ever said that it was water girl that was the returning person it could be west or some dead person that they revive again (that is getting so old)
sorry that took so long
Why did they not heal Nathan with clair, s blood they did it when he got shot before why dident the do it this time or is Nathan still alive ?.
Im wondering the same thing Icehole. I was sitting home when i saw the last episode: Why dident they heal Nathan with Clair’s blood. He must be dead, but they must hide him somewhere, or keep him somewhere for later cause.
Maybe that is happening in season 4.
Sylar remembering who is is
So they get some of Clairs blood to revive Nathan again? I would like to belive that.
After all, the makers of Heroes do know that Clair’s blood heals, as it was they who decided that Nathan should get it the time he got shot, so why should they “Forget” it this time?
@ Hank
You stated: ‘I believe the Haitian has to concentrate to suppress someone’s powers. And I don’t think it’s an area of effect. It’s a targeted ability.’
Well if you watch the episodes where Hiro and Ando is trying to get the formula back from Daphne in season 3, then it doesen’t look like the Haitian knows that they are there, since he came from the door after Daphne ran outside, because Hiro and Daphne coulden’t use theire powers.
Im sure there are more scenes where multiple people are having troubble using theire power because the Haitian is close.
Wow. You people sure do talk a lot.
whats all this ballox about filling in surveys to see content… I guess it was just a matter of time before this site sold out too.
@ pjanthony
I got that crap too. What the heck? I just wanted to discuss Heroes.
