NBC has released their official 2009 Fall TV Premiere Dates and Times and Heroes Season 4 as expected is scheduled for Sept. 21st at 8PM, but it will be a Two-Hour Premiere.
We will see the first two episodes, Episode 4×01 – Orientation and Episode 4×02 – Jump, Push, Fall.
Episode 4×03 is called Acceptance.

Rick Worthy Joins the Cast as Matt’s Partner.
Rachel Melvin has joined the cast as Annie for Season 4. Annie will share “maybe more” than just sleeping quarters with Claire.
I’m not sure about a full-blown relationship, but I can confirm that the college roomies will engage in a little Sapphic experimentation. At least that’s the plan.

Matt is basically good we have to keep in mind where he’s coming from. He’s basically been a loser all his life after Maury abandoned him. This made him very impulsive.
He would still be a terrible cop, cheated by his wife and his partner, who can’t even read a grocery list(well, he still can’t) if it was not for developing his ability.
Remember how he almost shot Danko’s whore just to hurt the guy who killed Daphnee and how he “mind-raped” Noah in the motel.
Still, it would suck for Matt to turn into Maury#2
About him not being surprised that Nathan was Sylar… Not that I really don’t want to buy your theory, but this could just have been bad writing.
Greg Grunberg mentionned a while ago that actors sometimes “fixed” things that would’ve looked weird based only on the scenario.
He gave the example of the scene where he sees Peter at Primatech after entering in Angela’s dream/coma. I think he was supposed to only tell Peter “don’t worry, she’s fine” or something like that but Greg figured he should be pissed at Peter because the last time he saw “him”(it was actually future Peter) he sent him off to Africa, so he made up that scene where he bashes Peter against the wall.
are they gonna actually give peter his old power back and control what powers he gets maybe have to touch them to get their power?
I’m under the impression that Peter will still have to touch people to get their power, but be able to use every powers he obtains that way.
Peter consciously having to get powers by getting up close with people rather than just being a sponge that can gain powers by just standing 10feet from anyone can be much easier for writers to manage.
Alternatively, they could simply decide to bring his old empathic attunement back… But then they have to limit the amount of specials that come into Peter’s viscinity because he can become a god again too easily.
I think it opens up more plotlines possibility if you force Peter to touch people to copy their abilities then allow him to channel his empathic connection to use them. That means for example that he’d have to touch Sylar if he decided to copy his whole ability set (and Sylar could just TK him around to avoid it) versus just coming to say “hi” to Nathan and suddenly have all of Sylar’s abilities.
That said, only time will tell…
Oh… and it would make more sense to continue to force him to touch people because being able to use all his copied abilities would represent an evolution of the ability he got when he injected himself.
Also when you think about it… this ability is only DIFFERENT than his old EM, not simply weaker. Because when he EM’d an ability, he was horrible at using it. Abilities he copy seem to be mastered instantly, kind of like Sylar and Arthur after they steal them.
My guess is that he’ll keep his new Touch-and-copy ability, but eventually (if we are blessed with more seasons) be again able to EM, like Sylar can EM now and then if he really makes an effort.
ok y’all. i gotta question. so at the end of S2, powerless, when nathan gets shot, Angela is on teh fone with some one and says, “i understand, it had to be done, but you just opened pandora’s box” to some one as she’s watching nathan get shot @ the conference. theres NO mention of that talk when S3 began… and idea what was going on there?
Also, so we agreed that Sylar could use EM even tho its not his natural ability. we also agree that abilities run in the family, like Arthur & Peter. do you guys think it would be possible for Claire to EM an ability so she can stop whining about how she’s a victim, and perhaps get some firepower?

I wouldn’t say that Sylar has EM as such… I would say that he is able to use empathy (which all of us have the capacity for) to connect with somebody, and due to his IA this empathic connection ALLOWS him to understand their power enough to use it. In other words, empathy enables him to understand/ relate to the person enough to ‘become’ that person on an emotional level, and therefore have access to their ability… this is just the flip-side of reading the person’s brain to understand and ‘mimic’ their power… reading/ syncing with the emotions of someone else = empathy. It is slightly different from Peter’s EM, in that it requires more concious effort from Sylar since he is not usually emotionally connected to people.
To look at it another way, Sylar’s empathic connection is more left-brain hemisphere (logical, rational, understanding) and Peter’s EM was naturally more right-brain (emotional, instinctive).
The reason that I brought this up is coz it seems that people think that ANY special can start EMing powers from anyone, just by empathising with them… NO!!! Sorry heroesrocks, but the day that Claire starts to mimic another ability is the day that I might just start to contemplate switching off from this show! It would destroy everything as far as credibility goes… It would be a worse mistake to introduce that idea than it was to bring about Claire’s Miracle Blood (and EVERYONE is paying the price for that faux pas…).
Agreed, Claire needs to get better or get lost (lol!)… but that’s not the way to do it, my friend…

Hey i watched Wolverine Origins over the weekend… (yeah I know about time right?) and did anyone else notice when Logan said something about “Bag & Tag them” I thought that was funny….so did Heroes take that from Xmen or the other way around. Heroes has said it since S1, but did Xmen always say that?

As for end of S2 Ange…
Well, Kari was kinda right… not so much bad writing, but the Writer’s Strike… it really effed up season 2 to the point where they had to rewrite it (IMO salvage is a better word) and so we have the notoriously patchy S2. Maya was supposed to play a bigger role in the outbreak of the Shanti Virus (i.e. thru her ability, she would have released her poison, then reabsorbed it along with the S.V., thus saving the world – and proving her ‘curse’ to be a blessing…etc etc. )
Basically, Adam was originally supposed to succeed in releasing the Virus in the vault (with Nathan being one of the first to succumb/ die from it), and the scene on the phone was supposed to take place after it was released. It was supposed to be Ange talking to Adam.
The W.S. forced the creative team to essentially do a horrible remix of a good tune and then release the remix.

TBH, with the bag & tag thing… can’t say if it has or hasn’t been used in Xmen [comics] before (but it’s possible). It’s one of those phrases that you’d expect someone covert/ government/ military etc to say… there are such things as Bag ‘n’ Tag missions.
In the case of the Wolvie-movie, I would say it’s very likely that they actually put that in as a kind of reference or in-joke alluding to Heroes… Kinda like how they mentioned the ‘yellow spandex’ in the first X-movie (Wolvie’s costume in the comics is made of… yep, yellow spandex).

In June, Hayden Panettiere told SCI FI Wire that Claire will go to college this season on NBC Heroes; now Panettiere reveals that her new roommate could be a female replacement for her first-season pal new Zach.
“We’re six episodes now into the season, and it’s just she develops this friendship with this other girl, this roommate of hers,” Panettiere said in an exclusive interview last week at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Pasadena, Calif. “It’s the only confidante she’s had since the first season, so it’s a great relationship, and I think people are going to really like it and enjoy it. But it’s normal life.”
Claire needs a normal life after three years of Heroes heroics. “She says, ‘I’ve been chasing normal life, and I finally found it. I finally caught it,’” she said. “How long that lasts, I don’t know.”
Even though Claire has moved away from home, she’ll still have visits with adoptive father, Noah Bennet, aka H.R.G. (Jack Coleman). “I go to visit him in one of the episodes, and I’m sure I’ll visit him [again] soon enough,” she said. “It’ll probably go to hell in a hand basket.”
The new mandate for Heroes in season four is to focus more on character stories. It’s a nice change of pace for Panettiere, but she’s already getting restless. “At the same time, I want to go shoot someone,” she said. “I want to go kill someone.”
Some actors have said they are appearing in fewer episodes, but Panettiere has worked a normal schedule in the first six. Beyond the current call sheets, she does not know what producers have planned for her schedule.
“I don’t even want to guess,” she said. “I have no idea the way it’s going to go, what they have planned. I like to be surprised. I’m spontaneous. I’ve been in most of them. Most people have been in most of them.”

Wow… They turned Claire into a lesbo…
Okkkkkk let me start off with a simple note. Heroes is AWESOME. i loved s1, enjoyed s2, F**kn loved s3.. the show is really interesting and pulls me in every episode. But 2 me it has a few minor things i wanna expose, 1. They never kill off a original character! ( excluding nathon) nikki dont count cuz the actress keeps coming back as new character! i understand most of em are awesome but come on kring kill 1 of em and keep em barried! it jus bothers me cuz instead of killn an original or sum1 else theyll kill a new charcter wit sum potential…ex. did any1 notice they killd off or exposed of every new charcter from s2? lol 2. Cliffhangers, suspense,hard tension,and mystery..what all do these words have in common u ask?? theyr missing from heroes show!! why do u tink LOST was a huge it hit?? cuz every ep. used these words and used them well…plz add sum good mystery to the show. 3. The FANS! the show is very good and most of u ppl jus nit pick at every flaw u can invent 2 use against the show!!
