Heroes Season 3 Episode 8 Official Description

by Matej ( Heroes Television)

NBC has just released the official description for episode 8 of Heroes season 3 called: “Villains“.

To prepare for the confrontation ahead, Hiro explores what forces – and familiar faces – helped twist Sylar, Flint, and Arthur Petrelli into Villains.

To prepare for the confrontation ahead, Hiro follows respected businessman, husband and father Arthur Petrelli in the days before he “died” — to discover what drove him to create rival company Pinehearst and strike at Angela.

Later, a moment unfolds where Sylar, horrified and guilt-ridden, might have stopped his murderous pursuit of abilities — that is, if H.R.G. and Elle had swayed from their monstrous assignment.

Finally, under the wing of Company man Thompson, agent-in-training Meredith watches her new life go up in smoke, following the arrival of her hot-headed brother.

Greg Grunberg, James Kyson Lee, Ali Larter, Hayden Panettiere, Adrian Pasdar, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Dania Ramirez and Milo Ventimiglia also star.

Jimmy Jean-Louis, Malcolm McDowell, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Ron Perkins, Blake Shields, and Jeff Staron guest star.

Show Cast: Milo Ventimiglia, Ali Larter, Hayden Panettiere, Greg Grunberg, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Masi Oka, Adrian Pasdar, Jack Coleman, James Kyson Lee, Dania Ramirez, Zachary Quinto, Cristine Rose.

This is the episode that takes place before the pilot right?

Mihajlo October 20, 2008 at 11:56 pm

Well since Hiro is ‘following’ Arthur in the days before he died it probably is the episode before the pilot

pjanthony October 21, 2008 at 4:47 am

So do you think that the bad guy with the blue fire ability is Meredith’s hot-headed brother or someone totally different?? I hope it’s someone new so we can have him on the side of the Heroes rather than the villains as that guy with the blue fire is already a villain, unless he ends up being a heroes because one of the villains tries to kill Meredith….

What do you guys think??

Tarot October 22, 2008 at 12:18 am

I’m thinking this is the missing scene and flashback episode.

Mr.1 October 22, 2008 at 1:31 am

I think syler is going to face of against arthur and somehow get peters powers back then maybe all 3 brothers can join forces against arthur

Lataie October 22, 2008 at 4:53 am

I think that maybe, in the days before arthur dies, Arthur found out the Angela was unfaithful and sylar is not his son and that’s why he becomes a villain. And I hope that Sylar doesn’t get killed he’s my favorite.

Steve October 22, 2008 at 6:11 am

I don’t think Sylar will die…besides, I don’t think he can. I’m more worried about Peter dying since he isn’t immortal anymore.

INF October 22, 2008 at 7:39 am

Don’t say that Sylar can’t die. Adam Monroe “couldnt die” either. And he’s in a trash can somewhere at Pinehearst right now.

jaylar October 22, 2008 at 8:11 am

I’m not sure whether the father took Peter’s empathic abilities or just those he collected. If it is the latter then Peter could gain the power to drain, and take his abilities back from his father.

born 2 be A cheerleader October 22, 2008 at 9:59 am

Arthur Petrelli has the ability to absorb the powers of EVOLVED HUMANS only. Not of those genetically mutated ones such as tracy strauss and nathan petrelli. Waaahh! I do hope peter will get his powers back! so excited with SYLAR-ELLE love story! I wonder what happens to noah?

james October 22, 2008 at 4:38 pm

i do not agree that Arthur can only take powers from made heroes….So ur telling me Adam was made all them years ago…..no fricking way on earth..sorry but that would spoil heores as it would ridiculous.
Pete will get his powers back somehow as his a main character.
I do wonder who will die, maybe Knox, or blue flame dude, but i hope Maya, or Suresh as suresh i find annoying and just not cool and maya even though she is smoking hot, her character has no real destiny like the others.
It’s possible that Nathan could but it would be stupid as how many times can they keep killing the poor bloke. Tracy may die but Ali Larter is a favourite to people i think.

Ro October 22, 2008 at 10:05 pm

about if syler can die, or how adam was killed by arthur petrelli, i don’t think mr. petrelli cuold actually kill people just touching them. he can’t kill syler, and adam died just because he took away his power so he became how he would be after more than a thousand years which he have been on earth (absolutely dead)
another reason why syler can’t die is because now is the favourite for most of us incluiding me xD

and agree with james about the suresh and Maya thing, although i’ll put also nathan and tracy on this “pack” -> please kill them all !!!

TacTicS October 22, 2008 at 10:54 pm

hmm you guys got some good points here.

pjanthony October 23, 2008 at 2:41 am

If Sylar isn’t Arthur’s kid then maybe he was Kaito’s since Angela had an affair with him, and if this is the case then Slyar is not only Nathan & Peter’s brother but also Hiro’s brother. And considering Sylar has a slight asian look to his eye’s I’m thinking it might not be too far from the truth, hopefully anyway….

Arthur October 23, 2008 at 2:46 am

INF reply Adam monroe is hundreds of years old so when his powers were taken his body turned to dust just like any other body would after a few hundred years.

Arthur October 23, 2008 at 2:50 am

Maya wont die she will just lose her powers to Arthur Petrelli and go on her merry way. Another question didn’t she come into the country illegal then how is she able to get new clothes and where is she stayin???

jeff October 23, 2008 at 6:41 am

peter still has sylars ability cause he had been around sylar and never got it till he went to the future so he still has “the hunger”that why future him told him to get the power cause he knew,

Matej ( Heroes Television) October 23, 2008 at 10:46 pm

New pictures added !

Kristoffer October 24, 2008 at 12:37 pm

Sylars dad must be kaito. They have the same ability , to se the variable of things or what it is. But Kaito had it without the hunger i think?

qt.jen October 24, 2008 at 4:13 pm

@ Arthur
Maya is staying at Suresh’s apartment in Brooklyn. Suresh is at his lab (Isaac Mendez’s old apartmnet) given to him by the company.
I agree that the Suresh&Maya and Nathan&Tracy thing is taking away from the plot. Judging from the most recent pictures, Tracy and Nathan will not be together much longer
@james
Arthur can only take the powers of evolved humans, (like Adam) not synthetic powers (like Tracy/Nathan)

AASD October 28, 2008 at 10:00 am

i think that, like matt and peter. when matt tried to read peters mind the first time, peter was able to counter back, and stop the mind reading.

so maybe, he was able to stop a little of Arthur absorption? still keeping his main power? so maybe he would just absorb everything back eventually.

what do you think?

i think there is going to be a great twist coming up soon, other then that im still loving heroes :P haha

MagicBean October 28, 2008 at 6:57 pm

What makes most sense to me is that Suresh has this new formula to try and Peter somehow gets injected with this. This triggers his abilities to come back. Maya is likely out of the picture now as there seems to be nothing tying her to anyone other than Suresh and she doesn’t want to be around him.

I guess that Syler is infiltrating the new organisation to find out what is going on. I don’t think he’s made up his mind what he is going to do but did not want Peter to die as he has a family again now. As for Nathan, you should remember that the visions he has had have been conjured on behalf of Arthur Petrelli. As Nathan’s goal is to go for the Presidency, I reckon that Arthur will make him aware of this and get it to work in his favour – Nathan and Arther were always closer than Peter……

Why are they infiltrating the other company wioth Parkman now. Just for info on what they are doing or are they actually after something specific? The latter is most likely but it will take a couple of episodes to come to light, I’m guessing….

Vorrec October 28, 2008 at 10:43 pm

I think that if Peter still had his empathic power left, that plotline would be useless. I hope he doesn’t get them back either, he was too powerful to begin with anyway. They could substitute it for something, but I would rather it not be elemental manipulation, or the thrill would be gone. I hope Mohinder dies. He’s starting to get extremely annoying. And Maya should have a permanent happily-ever-after. Or crash a car and die. Whatever. And Sylar being Kaito’s son…that’s just…impossible. The writers would never do that.

Vorrec October 28, 2008 at 10:48 pm

I take that back. The writers seem to be doing the impossible to characters every week. In the spoilers Peter was being injected as a test subject for the formula, correct, not? That spoils my hopes of him being retarded power-wise for a few episodes…finally see some change from big ‘ol Peter.

James October 30, 2008 at 12:10 am

Flint is Meredith’s brother, and as it looks now, Matt’s old buddy. Peter will regain his power, most likely the use of the formula, but the theory that Sylar’s ability extends to also fixing things is highly plausable. Baby Noah’s mom loos to be Elle. My guess for cast clean up is that Nathan will be killed off, plus several new characters, such as Knox.

Zakk October 30, 2008 at 12:39 am

Flint must be Meredith’s brother, they mentioned “someone else in Claire’s family with fire powers”, Flint would be Claire’s uncle.

I don’t believe Sylar is Kaito’s son, I think he’s Arthur’s, as Sylar, Arthur and Peter have similar powers. Nathan, the third brother, was born powerless (so they injected him), but the other two have a similar power: Peter absorbs powers through empathy or whatever, Sylar learns them by examining the brain (or whatever, I don’t know the specific description), and Arthur, the big daddy, simply absorbs them with touch.

I think Peter should get his powers back, and he probably will. It seems Heroes could either turn out to be amazing or horrible… But we still don’t know why Future Peter wanted Present Peter to learn Sylar’s ability, and there must be a reason…

simip October 30, 2008 at 2:45 am

everyone will die except hiro who is made to go back in time to change certain events

Arthur October 30, 2008 at 4:37 am

I think Peter still has some of his abilities he just doesn’t know it yet. remember Arthur Petrelli can’t take those who were given powers so he should have his brother’s flight an maybe some of the other abilities he had. I think sylars powers were given to him as well thats probably why future Peter told him to get Sylars powers. Remeber future Claire killed future Peter with a gun shot and he had that scar so he obviously didnt have the ability to heal. I think Hiro’s powers were given to him as well..

Marc October 30, 2008 at 8:01 am

Everyone seems to be forgetting that future Claire had the Hatian standing next to her negating both present and future Peter’s powers. That’s why she was able to kill him so easily.
On a related note, the military could easily squash all the villains just by taking the Hatian along with them….
Never mind, that would make too much sense

Kristoffer October 30, 2008 at 1:52 pm

One thing some people have forgot is that in season 1 in the episode called 5 years later peter looks exactly like he did when claire shoot him. His hair back and a scare across the face.

Future peter told him to get the hunger so he can understand which side thats right?

Xalvin October 30, 2008 at 10:53 pm

No, most people have not forgot about that.
The thing is no matter what they did from season 1 till season 3, Seems that Future Claire and Future Peter still has the same characteristics.
Scar, Hair Combed Back, and Brunnete Hair.
The only difference is that Claire has definitely turned evil in her future compared to Season 1.

Future Hiro shouldn’t appear again as he only turned like that by the death of Ando.

Some have a theory that this is the time Peter gets his Scar as he doesn’t have healing powers.

Kooki October 31, 2008 at 7:41 am

Is Adam really dead?
Well, In episode 7, In peters dream we saw, Arthurs ashes… If he can find a way to come back, why can’t Adam. Its a pity if he’s really gone. I really liked him. Especially his british accent. I hope the invisible man comes back too. I read somewhere that he may return…

Tarot October 31, 2008 at 12:51 pm

@ Kooki, sadly Adam is dead. I do hope Claude returns.

the nigga October 31, 2008 at 11:00 pm

who said arthur cant take ablilites that were given i dont rmember that?

Heroes is No.1 November 1, 2008 at 12:25 am

i wanna no wot charles deveaux’s power was at the end of season 1 peter travelled bk n charles said e was da 1 all along i wanna no wot he meant by that. ne ideas

tommy November 1, 2008 at 6:32 am

this is where peter gets his scar and he and sylar will team up and somehow get peters powers back minus the “hunger” or with it and sylar will teach him to control it peter will be the hero at the end of this show just as he was in the pilot

NKS November 2, 2008 at 5:56 pm

im a big fan of heroes and for the love of god, you people keep saying claire, sylar and adam cannot die. but they easily can. any heroe can die if there brain is attacked. like if adam was shot in the head unless the bullet was removed he will DIE,same goes for peter, arthur, clair and adam

rick November 3, 2008 at 12:29 pm

i guess it would actually b the episode right before six months ago would have taken place in season 1

Unknown November 4, 2008 at 12:05 am

For those thinking Sylar isnt Arthurs kid, he obviously is. Think about the powers the petrelli guys have. Arthur takes power, Peter absorbs them, Sylar has a power which helps him take powers. They are all linked. As for Nathan, his powers were gentically assigned through an injection, not naturally so thats why he just flies…

Mike November 5, 2008 at 12:40 am

To NKS: When Adam Monroe said that a bullet to the brain would kill someone, even if they can regenerate, I think he was BSing. Sylar cut Claire’s head open, and was not only still alive, she was conscious!

Bella November 5, 2008 at 12:46 am

Yes, Peter should definitely get his powers back!!! But I think the writers took his powers away because he is always trying to save everybody, and now other people have to be protecting him because he doesn’t have his abilities. I kind of thought this would happen because in the Butterfly Effect Claire says, “You can’t save me all the time, Peter.” In the promo for this episode she says “Peter, I have to protect you!” so I think what they were trying to do was to sort of switch around their roles. As in, the one being protected and the protecter. I think people have been saying Peter was too powerful, too. I don’t think so. But maybe the writers were just trying to make people see his personality without his powers, but being the hero has already become such a big part of him. I’m still really excited for next week’s episode!!!! But I really hope that somehow Peter gets his powers back because they were part of his personality, I can’t really imagine him without his powers for his whole life. Maybe if they kill him he’ll get his powers back…………? I think he still has a part of them left……………………

Bella November 5, 2008 at 12:55 am

Oh, yeah, remember in season 1 where Peter gets the glass in the back of his head? He doesn’t regenerate until Claire pulls it out! Plus, he tells her to shoot him in the back of the head, where the glass was, if her started to explode. So anyone who can regenerate can still die. And also, Arthur’s power killed Adam so it can kill anyone else immortal too! But Sylar said Claire was “special” and not like the others, that he “couldn’t kill her even if he wanted to.” I don’t know what that means, but as far as I know, she can be killed. I wonder what Arthur wants with Claire. I don’t think he would want to kill her, but maybe he could. Somehow all of his family has come back to him, and Claire’s the last of them!

Future Sylar November 5, 2008 at 9:46 am

@ Bella

Arthur’s power killed Adam because he took the powers of Adam, and knowing that Adam has been alive for the past 350 or so years, his power was the only thing that makes his body “alive”. With his powers gone, his entire body immediately became ash because of the time it has spent in the world.

kenny November 5, 2008 at 10:37 am

i think peter has the same power as arthur but arthur can use it to its full extent like parkman could only read minds but learned that was just the start of it and arthur removes the powers of people who are dangerous to him otherwise he will jus absorb it like peter does

barad November 5, 2008 at 3:11 pm

that’s a good theory you have kenny because athur had the same ability as dad parkman

MagicBean November 6, 2008 at 12:28 pm

Firstly, I think everyone seems to be forgetting the ‘food’ that Angela Petrelli gave Sylar in the form of the girl that knows the history of any object by touching it. This means that by shaking hands with Arthur Petrelli he must have found out the truth about what he has done and his motives. The next episode should be the set-up for what lies ahead with the past stroy line becoming the present. I can see Sylar becoming a double agent.
What about Nathan going in there in a couple of episodes time. Will he find out that his father was actually responsible for his accident where his wife was crippled and he found out he could fly? Very likely. In the future it showed him as President and linked with Pinehurst, as he had access to Peter. This suggests that he ends up siding with them. I guess he does this thinking he can stay in control of what he is doing.
Peter and Sylar are the most popular and discussed characters so there is no doubt whatsoever that Peter will get powers back. We know he can time travel in the future as well as having other powers. The real question is how he needs to obtain his powers in the future. Through the hunger? Not absorbing in presence or he would have been able to take on Claire’s power. Perhaps taking on his father’s way of absorbing through touch….? Defeating his father eventually? Is Arthur in this for a while to come?
What about Hiro though? Going back in time has been ruled out so he has going on the spirit walk to see it there perhaps? Or is he goiong to the future to see who he thinks the villains are? Will we see him anywhere in the next episode? Doubtful?
Something we do know is that the next half of the season is focussed on the villains. Primatech looks like it is going to be seen as the good-guys and Pinehurst as the bad-guys.
One final thing; the last scene with Arthur, Peter and Sylar, Arthur said that the future that Peter had seen no longer exists. Was he being self assured or is there something he knows that we are not party to yet……
I love this programme.

reilsel0617 November 8, 2008 at 2:47 pm

Maybe Arthur Petrelli can’t absorb abilities that were learned instead of ablities that were acquired like Peter’s powers.

The conflict in this theory is that in order for Peter to learn an ability he needs to kill and study a person’s brain which would make him the new Sylar.

I dunno, maybe Claire is generous enough to let his uncle study her brain.

herofan637 November 8, 2008 at 8:31 pm

if the powers are in their DNA, then wont their powers come back eventually and maybe even evolved?

it me again . . . November 8, 2008 at 11:11 pm

i dont think the powers come back after Arthur takes them, and Peter has NO powers at all, but an injection could fix that! i think Arthur fears people who no the future because they no whats going to happen or something to do with his wife or possibly to do with knowing his plans. the reason Arthur said the furtue Peter saw doesn’t excis is that Peter has no powers so theres one differnce from the future is there anymore?

focker November 9, 2008 at 8:44 am

i guess this is the episode where peter would suck arthur’s dick. gaawd, just thinking about it makes me soo horny. :|
