Heroes Season 3 Episode 3: One of Us, One of Them

i am really disapointed, because I do not understand what Tim Kring was thinking. Mohinder? Yuck. Future Peter & Present Peter? Confused. And most of all Sylar’s Mom-Angela? The most Disgusting of all. {sigh, it could never be good forever}
They can’t please everyone heroesfan.
Personally, I think this show has shot itself in the foot too many times. Characters are dumbed down just so that the show can continue, which makes it more and more pitiful and unrealistic. I could be wrong, but unless people like myself are happy to watch the show, despite the obvious flaws, this show is doomed to fail.
Nonetheless, I’ll watch it as long is it’s on the air. It may just redeem itself yet.
I dont know what yall talkin bout this shows awsome I mean what do you want it to be Lost or something? Well it doesnt have the same writers so it cant be, but I think it is sure as hell catching up. I personaly loved the season premiere and want more.
i agree with s.prez this show beats the shit outta any super heo show like compare it to smallville just the dialogue is so much richer the twists are excellent like i wanna hear one person who didnt read any spoilers tell me they knew that sylar was a petrelli no could cuz there was no clue minus the fact that they all have powers all i can say is that i doubt sylar is gunna stay good for long and i dount angela p. is a good guy i also think that hiro is gunna go bad and ando is the good guy and thats what i love about the show you never know what to expect,,,,,, HEROES RULES

Wow I didn’t think people could be so cynical. This season is amazing! I had to watch the first two eps on YouTube because New Zealand doesn’t get season three for ages, and even then I thought they were magnificent. I think they rushed into it a bit however, like they told us everything right then and there (Sylar got captured, Bob died, Tracy found out about Niki, Linderman comes to Nathan, Villains start rampaging). They could have kind of spaced this out.
Mohinder with powers? I don’t like it. I think that was taking a ‘quantum leap in science’.

I have really enjoyed Season 3 so far. The reason they killed off Bob is ‘cos the actor who plays him damaged his neck during a horse riding accident in Iceland.
Mohinder was bound to achieve powers like he discovered,m considerin he’s a professor & all that.

By the way, I think the 1st 2 comments on this page are a total let down. If you aren’t even going to be excited by the best episodes of Heroes, I would suggest that you should stop watching Heroes. Compared to Season 1, Season 3 started off with a big bang and I can’t believe there are people who disliked it. If anyone was to start watching Heroes from volume 3, they would be so excited to see what happens next. I think those who have gave up on Heroes have too high expectations and they will never be sastified.

heroesfan112234, if you’re confused about future peter and present peter, you should start to watch the episode of Heroes “five years gone” more and more until you absolutely understand what is going on. Are you trying to say you don’t understand when future hiro and present hiro met? Sylar’s mom Angela. What’s wrong? It isn’t even confirmed that it is the truth!
I just hope you would see how nice it really was. You’re perhaps the minority that hates Season 3, look all over the net there are reviews on how nice it was.

Alright, I am going to list down all the abilities of Peter and Sylar, if I miss out on any, can someone help me out?
Peter: precognitive dreams, precognitive painting, flight, space and time manipulation, cellular regeneration, invisibility, telekinesis, mind reading, radiation, super strength, walking through walls and electric manipulation.
Sylar: precognitive painting, cellular regeneration, telekinesis, radiation, transmutation (bob’s ability), great memory (charlie), ?????
I am sure there are alot more for sylar…help me out anyone?

About Season 3, you have to understand that people have right to dislike premiere episode. I gave it 6/10 myself.
Maybe I write a post what i didn’t liked, if anyone want to read it. Although, I think that volume 3 will be awesome, only because I know a lot of spoilers, not because of season premiere surely.
remember in season one, “zach” he had the power to melt things. sylar took his power. the hearing lady, what about that power? if he is going to be taking all these powers then shouldnt he use them?

I THINK THAT THE FIRST TWO OPENING EPISODES OF SEASON 3 WERE AWESOME. I do however, think they moved a little too fast. But as long as they help everyone understand (which they always do a great job doing), then I don’t feel like it will be a problem. The things I loved and will love about this season is how graphic it’s getting, and more abilities being used. Season one, we saw abilities but not being used very often, and battles seemed way too short for MY liking. Season two was a lot slower, STILL ENJOYED IT, and used a little bit more abilities throughout. Now the whole mohinder getting, WHAT LOOKS LIKE, spiderman-like powers from Mya’s power was okay .. I just don’t like the little sex scene between them .. that story moved WAY TOO FAST FOR ME. One moment they’re disccusing the formula, the next he’s hanging from a pipe, jumps down, and attacks Mya sexually. LOL. But all in all, it was a very good start, IN MY OPPINION, and I do believe that they gained so many new FANS/VIEWERS .. because I’ve been spreading the word, and making people watch .. I hope this show never ends, (OR AT LEAST MAKES IT TO 12 SEASONS), because It’s an awesome show. It basicly has everything, action, drama, suspence, terror, and NOW THANKS TO mya AND mohinder ROMANCE. Hahahha. Ti Kring is a genius, and I hope that Heroes never dies.

2 of which we saw in the deleted scenes from the Season 2 DVD but I am not sure if Sylar really does have those two abilities {Robert Keep ~ Impenetrable Skin & the semi invisible power from the Chamleon girl}. Simply cos u can still see that glowing effect on her after she is invisible, if that makes any sense.
Also the other 6 powers that he got back in Season 1 acording to Mohinder.
Now about Episode 3….
I am gona enjoy Tracy Strauss’s character & more Sylar.
On a side note, does anybody know how Nathan survived after he suddenly woke up next to Peter in the hospital? Peter has never met Linderman so therefore he cudnt heal Nathan like Linderman can. I thought it was very strange.

in regards to the nathan thing, there are many theories, i think the most likely one is that peter has healed nathan with his blood seeing as he can heal like clair and he is also using his mind manipulation power to show linderman to nathan just as parkman/parkman’s father can do. the reason for this is unclear but no doubt it has something to do with changing the future..
Knox killed the German, Sylar killed Jesse….Knox and the other guy who can produce flames got locked up. They didn’t last long..!
I think this episode was filled with comedy (when sylar told off the policeman), sadness (sylar couldn’t control his hunger), and drama.

In the 3rd episode, is there even any scene where tracy jump off a buidling and nathan flies and save her? Is there such scene in any episode?? I say this because I just read a comment from a person named Rafal on another page.

I think it’s fair to assume that Peter has known Linderman for most of his life, since his parents were so heavily involved with the formation of The Company, and from the comics it seems that Arthur and Linderman were the ones who really got the ball rolling in the beginning. I’m sure he was around Peter enough for him to get that ability, even before Peter realized he had a power (then again, his power may not have manifested until Linderman was already powerful and on the other side of the country, so that has to be considered too). Regardless, I am among the ranks of the people who are curious as to just how Nathan was revived after the shooting.

Some other thoughts:
- Daphne is awesome, and I can definitely see sexual tension with her and Hiro, or possibly even Ando.
- I miss Elle. I hope she actually gets to team up with Claire this time around.
- IMHO The German had to die soon. Having such a power as his (ie: Magneto) could really throw off the balance of the show. However, I am curious as to whether or not Present Peter got any of the new villians’ powers when he was trapped inside of Jesse (how exactly did Future Peter do that, I wonder?) or in the brief moment when he was pulled out of Jesse before being teleported away.
- I find it funny and a bit ironic that Ando was the one to neutralize the Hatian, if only for a few moments.

The only character without powers I care about at all in this show is Noah Bennett now. Seriously, he’s basically the Batman of the Heroes Universe.
Time travel = infinite continuity = instant fail. Don’t like it. This season should be called ” I Really Really Hate Time Traveling - Season 3.
Some characters are acting illogically than there should be. And I’ll even go as far to say that the writers don’t seem to know WTF to do with Maya.
I loved the episode, it’s getting better and better although I don’t like some parts of it.

I’m with you, HRG is (and has always been) one of my favorite characters on the show. I wonder what would happen if they tried to give him powers a la the formula that is the focus of this season.
Time travel is a touchy subject, always prone to paradoxes and the like. Hell, just meeting yourself could possibly cause a time paradox, the results of which could cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space time continuum, and destroy the entire universe. (Doc Brown).
I personally like Micah a lot, and I wish he were more involved with the main characters’ storylines. Hell, he’s lost both of his parents now, he deserves somethin’ for it.
As for Maya, I’m with you too. I don’t think they really know what to do with her. I think at some point Sylar will return to get her ability, and he might have to face off with a powered-up Mohinder (who seems to be turning into Beast).

Nice catch about Linderman, I never really thought about that. It makes sense now. Its a bit like Sylar using one of his NEW abilities that he has picked up but we did not see who he got it from.

I am thoroughly enjoying Season 3. I love how they kept on switching the pace, but I really don’t think the lack of more graphic usage of powers deducts from the show. It’s brought a great start, and nothing that happens will have me dislike Heroes now. Unless something bad happens to Sylar. Lol. Need more Peter/Sylar scenes. I love the fact that they’re brothers. They had better not kill that off now, or I’ll seriously be angry. Um…I think Matt will have a relationship with Daphne as it was told that they had an amount of scenes together. I’m happy that Tracy didn’t turn out to be a b*&@^ I thought she would. I want Nathan to have a relationship with Tracy. (Love the new Nathan btw) And as for Mohinder, I’m starting to dislike the guy even more. Why can’t we have simple monologue-ey, pitiful no-power Mohinder from Season One back again? plus, I don’t really like Maya’s new part in the plot. I liked her better when she was a stupid dingo travelling with a dead brother and a killer and didn’t know it. And I want Micah and Niki back :(. Niki and Tracy would be awesome together. And I loved the Micah/Tracy scene. Forget about Monika, I can’t even remember her name sometimes. In reply to the Sylar vs. Villains thing; yeah-I love Sylar! I don’t really like his sleek look with the suit and stuff though. Anyway, back on topic. I really didn’t think the Villains would be K.O’ed this fast. Oh well. Maybe Jesse was there just to give Sylar a new power that would affect the plot. I was surprised HRG let him take it anyway. And the Episode 4 Promo freaked me out. (The Sylar part-that was just toooo much). I hope he’ll be with Claire. No wait that would be incest. I hope he’ll be with Elle. Much better.
The thing that Matt was eating, reminded me of an episode of Lost, when Locke made that gooey porridge stuff & made Boone eat it with him ending up with these visions of Smokey attacking Shannon. But the music side, maybe its Britney Spears, maybe its Bob Marley?
Why did Knox have to kill The German for? I thought they were the best of friends whilst they were locked up in level 5. He didn’t last long. It wud have been better if Knox just let The German leave the bank with the money & went their ways. I was hoping we wud see more of Ken Lally as he’s a great actor. Oh well.
I like the Tracy /Micah scenes. & also Tracy/Zimmerman scenes, I thought that was pretty intriguing how he created her.
The only thing I was confused about was, why did we keep seeing Peter when we suppose see Jesse? ie when Peter looked in the car mirror/window, in the bank etc It wud av been better to wait to Future Peter came & pushed present Peter out of Jesse’s body.
Also loved the scenes with Sylar, HRG & Angela. 8/5 out of ten
Heroes fell 12% from its two-hour debut last week to a new low. The show had 9.3 million viewers and earned a 4.5/10. It was a different story in the 18-34 demographic though. Heroes dominated with the younger crowd, earning a 4.9/13 and leaving the other shows in the dust.

I’m bummed out too that the German got killed by Knox. I would have liked to have seen more of both the German and Jesse (whom Sylar killed). Maybe we’ll get an onscreen flashback?
They’ve killed off several people who were ‘comic-only’ very soon after introducing them. Gael and Bianca in the premiere and now The German in this one. I wonder if they are getting ready to introduce a bunch of new characters in the comics.
Anyone got any thoughts on the rest of the 12 villians that escaped?
Someone above said The German and Knox were supposed to be best friends - actually, I think judging by the most recent comics, it was Knox and Jesse who were close friends.
I knew Knox was going to be a major player this season, but I really did not expect Jesse to die so soon either. I thought Sylar should have killed Flint and Jesse be locked back up. They played it up quite a bit that Present Peter was trapped in Jesse and Angela acted genuinely worried that it was Jesse in particular that PP was inside, so it was kind of anticlimactic.

well the only thing that’s driving me a bit nuts is the whole sylar being angela’s son AND that important ass formula runnin around…basically this is angela’s season and she’s making me very nervous, she would betray her sons just to accomplish her “dreams” reality…
My take on this–The paintings showing Matt and a woman with white hair. That was Daphne who is destined to die. If the African man has painting Matt and knows his past, present and future why would he ask him if he knew Brittany Spears? Gimme a break…of all people in this country he could inquire about.
I think that Ando is interested in Daphne and Hiro isn’t interested in her at all. She will be the cause for the rift between Ando and Hiro. Is it just me or is Hiro becoming cocky? He has the potential to become bad because of the change in his personality. As for Nathan and Tracy…I hope that the writers DO NOT pair them off. He had sex with Nikki for Christ sake! The thought is just nasty. Being a twin myself I am so lost on that whole fantasy. I do wonder how they are going to keep the Micah and Monica chararters around without the Nikki character. She was the link. They need to keep these two in the loop. The youth and african american factors are these two. I don’t like how they are changing Mohinder. Why anyone so intelligent could be so stupid and inject themselves with something untested–this does not make sense. People without powers added something to the story. They tended to be more centered and possessed a clarity that some of the others did not.
is i’m the only one who are dissipointed by that the level 5 guys sucked i thought they would be much stronger than sylar because when sylar got locked up they put him in a level two prision.so i thought they would cruch sylar if they fight
The only ones that were rather not disapointing were the German and Knox. But they killed off the German, and really, niether pyrokinetisis and the power with the sound wave were really good powers.
And one thing I want to check. Does Sylar have the power of super-hearing?
Because if he does, and he stole the guy with the sonic-sound’s power, then that’s rather, uhm.. Yeah.
I liked this episode, especially the part with the villians. But I was disappointed when they killed of the German and Jesse. I think Knox is cool and the german was too but then they killed him of. Knox looks like he is a bad ass. And FireladyM, Sylar does have super hearing so I am wondering how is that going to work out when he uses Jesse’s power.

And tbh, I felt a bit cheated with the German being Killed off, I was hoping he would drain the iron from people’s blood, use anything metal as bullets, etc. And what do we get, opening car doors, closing blinds and opening a safe…He had one of His hands on the door the whole time, why not tear it off at least
