They killed Elle. They seriously killed Elle. Where did that lighter fluid come from? And Sylar is totally bonkers now. What?
I am not pleased about the demise of Elle Bishop. She was such an intriguing character. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to finish out Vol. 3 and then go into Fugitives. I think I may be in mourning.

OH MY GAWD!!! that was SOOOO STUPID!!! –
- Kill Elle = assanine
- Kill Arthur = good
- Peter still powerless = dumb
- Hiro stuck in past with no powers = idiotic
- Hiro’s mom dieing after giving him the ‘light’ = sad, very sad
- Nathan on Pa’s side, but not really, more like on his own = stupid bastard
- Matt ‘You’re doing it because you’re good’ line – cheesie (as has been most of his interaction with Daphne thus far)
- Daphne ‘Allow me’ – oh my gawd, can that girl learn how to act?
- Tracy, where they took her character with no introduction of Barbra = lame
- and FINALLY, WTF??? SYLAR BACK? They should never have taken his character down that road if they intended to bring him full circle…and more pissed off…they should have limited him to stealing one or two useless powers per season, or killed him (I lean toward killing him). I HATE Sylar (sorry, Mr. Quinto, but you do do a great job acting – which is probably why I hate him so much, it was more than likely his intention) But seriously, kill him finally. Now he’s running amuk in Pinehearst, this will be predictable, bye bye Hatian, Flint and Knox, attack Mohinder, Tracey and Nathan, cause an explosion while fighting the new ‘Super Soldier’ (and not die, but the soldier will), Peter will be in there somewhere with a gun to Nathan’s head, and somehow get injected with the formula and get his powers back (about f*****g time) then run to mommy and tell on Nathan. Meanwhile Matt, Daphne and Ando read the comic book and follow it to a ‘T’ to get Ando some powers of his own (red lightning), he goes rogue and sides with Nathan to give the world powers – but wait, one things wrong with the whole ‘Give the WORLD POWERS’ scheme, there is no more ‘catalyst’, it died with Arthur. So now Angela’s crew has to destroy the remaining formula (this is where the two sides squaring off against eachother comes in) and it ends with Angela’s side losing, but not without some big causalties for Pinehearst – this pisses Nathan off, so he loads the lot of them up in the airplane, with mommy, and sends them off to die – the crash isn’t an accident.
that’s my two cents, if I’m even remotely correct, I will stop watching this show entirely and Kring can kiss my arse!
sorry to disappoint everyone but theres NO WAY that arthur is dead. bullet went through the FRONT of his head not the back….Angela said “ONE SHOT TO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD….AND ITS DONE”

Uh yeah… Arthur is dead already because at the end the light vanishes and so does all his powers that he got. I really thought it was a superb episode but allof a sudden hiro gets the catalyst taken away. Yeah… not a good idea. Now hes stuck in the past. hahahaha and Ando time travelind don’t know about that after the part where Claire gets sent back it loses the flow and the suspense. We will see what happens next week. By the way is Elle dead because in an interview they said that the scene by the beach was a cover up. I mean Kristin herself admits that her character does not die.
Okay tons of things cracked me up like when sylar crashed the party and then those three peeps come in to celebrate to see their fellow co-worker with her head cap gone, and he goes cake, and slams the door, and hiro and claire scenes were entertaining as well.
Overall i have never been so pumped to see what happens next, this episode was awesome, people need to stop thinking logical in something that obivously is absent of logical.

just stating the fact that it didnt happen like she said to do it. You, of all people, should know that this show is never what it seems….the writers left “guess work” by only showing the front of his head and blood pouring out on the floor. you only could assume that it exited the back.
BUT For all we know, the bullet could have went out the top or side. AND there are so many other ways that he could still be alive….the formula is not that far away after all. either way, im not buying into the idea that he is dead.
ill admit that this show is predictable…maybe its because we read this site that gives us info ahead of time. either way Heroes needs something big to happen to the show or it will lose a ton of fans soon.

I think it was an excellent episode. Jesus Christ people, they can’t have the good guys winning all the time. Who the hell would watch the show if that’s the case?
Episode 13 should be amazing! I wish people would stop over analyzing this show, it’s supposed to be entertaining. If it’s not, stop watching and move on. I for one enjoy the suspense and the fact that the future can be rewritten by time travelers.
Sylar is such a great character, although I’m really pulling for him to straighten out his act and do the right thing. I seriously doubt that will happen though.
I’d really like to know how Peter get’s that mean ass scar though…I wonder if that will continue on this story line.
Started off fantastic. After the death of Hiro’s mom, everything went downhill. Hiro not being able to blink to escape from Arthur the second time is idiotic…poor writing there.
Sylar not wanting to consume Arthur’s powers. Not logical in the scheme of the show.
Kyle 4000 where soldiers are being built with an injection. Insanely unoriginal.

This episode showed how good the writing could be (Hiro and his mother played by the gorgeous Tamilyn Tomita (Karate Kid) and how poor and inconsistent the writing in general is.
I think Kring should be fired before he kills the show completely.

Hiro…not again. Just when he got his memory back, he lost his powers. What on earth is going on? Fantastic episode though…
This one was great one! Heroes are moving foward with their storylines. I can see Tracy and Nathan being the the head of USA. It’s like they now become villains. There is something ambiguos about Tracy. She is kinda Good but she wants something… I’m not sure why and what! Obviously it is a good starting point for Tracy and Nathan in Volume 4. I’m just hoping that Clair will not kill Angela! Sylar got Doyles power to manipulate people. Why? God!!! Arthur had to die but I have to admit that he was COOL! Good actor and so on plus great powers. I strated liking Clair. She bought me! But still… Tracy is the best to me, we just need to see more action from her side (Niki was better).
So next episode we have pineherst action with some of the Heroes, plus action in Primatech (Level five). Ohhh… Elle was the only blonde to die. Believe me guys. Tracy is safe till the end of Volume 4 and Daphne will not die neighter, as said.
All I now want is to die melt durring the show’s final episode of Volume 3. And Imagine! Again! Waiting for Volume 4 till 2 febuary 2009!!! Why? Well we survived 9 months so we will survive another one or two.
its going to be interesting ,will puppetmaster and danny pine be released ? will knox and flint be rounded up with everyone else now there king is dead? somehow peter , hiro ,suresh and ando ? …will need the formula . will suresh be nathans loyal aid? i might rewatch 5 years gone for clues ,mind you nikki never made it ?
wow, this episode may have just redeemed this entire lackluster season.

actually had to watch that scene a couple of times, it was so morbidly hilarious.
Sylar is back, and i don’t even care anymore that how he got back was a crappy writing job.

-nathan taking over pinehearst, and sealing the deal that he’ll be next seasons bad guy.
oh and note to hiro trapped in time: if he ever gets off that pole he should leave himself self a note or something to find when his past self grows up and discovers his powers, to teleport back to the exact time after he lost his powers on the rooftop and then deliver him back to the present….complicated? a bit. but it’d work.
or he should go and find takezo kensei, so we can see him again…or linderman…would linderman be able to heal back his powers???
Arthur tells Hiro is there to take the light and his powers.
What powers? Being there and then means he’s got such powers already.
maybe he just sucked up hiro’ powers specifically to trap him in the past so he couldn’t be a pest anymore.
arthur had time travel powers from peter. he actually thought he had killed hiro..
well if he is in the past then he is also in the present, only 16 years older, as long as he does not die between the 16 years.
hold on let me get out my pipe and my book on time and relativity..mm..yep..mm ..aha …yes thats right ive got it . hiro will tell his dad about adam and save his life. his dad will get his powers back from him , hiro will travel forward in time and speak to his 46 year old self about stuff and then they can put some string up and tie it together and all that. then ……..
This was horrible!!! Absolutely horrible!
I was hoping that Sylar would eventually become a good guy but that seems tooooooo far fetched and we now have good ‘ol lobbing noggings Sylar back collecting powers and see that he’s more blood thirstier and power hungry as ever.
And how in the hell did Arthur know to go back in time specifically to where Hiro and Claire were? And Hiro has no powers? WTF??? Peter still without his powers? Geez! Now Nathan is the bad guy (not to mention we have Sylar on the loose unless he can be reeled in) so instead of husband and wife duking it out, it will fall to brother and brother duke out.
At least I figured Sylar would kill Arthur. Peter needs to get a backbone. He should of given the gun to the Haitian, who would of not hesitated to shoot and there would of been no verbal drama and Peter finally realizing “Oh geez, my mom was right! My dad would of killed me!” Well duh!
Can Hiro get his powers back and at least teleport us to a time when the show “Heroes” kept making sense? I can only hope the season finally for season 3 will keep my interest for season 4. This episode was suckage.

One thing that confuses me:
The Haitian blocks Arthurs powers, but cant hold it
When hes in control again, Sylar comes in with powers, while Arthur doesnt (we know arthur didnt because he died)
So how does Sylar still have his powers with the haitian around?
the Haitian was focused on Arthur
and if you notice, Sylar used his power after the shot so, when Peter shot Arthur the Haitian stopped blocking the power, since the bullet was already on the way
but also, if it wasn’t for Sylar, the bullet would be redirectioned. Arthur used the power on the bullet but Sylar stopped it. the bullet was stopped but Arthur’s power got that cut on Peter

Actually one of the best episodes this season! Wow…that’s a nice change!
Awesome things:
1) Hiro and Claire together on screen, cutesy/funny
2) Meeting Hiro’s mom and finding out that she has the catalyst
3) Sylar’s BACK!!!!!! Now don’t get me wrong, I loved the “good” path that Sylar was on, and then he killed Elle (still pissed about that). But Everyone loved the original Sylar from 1st season (”Cake?”- lololol!!!! hilarious!)
4) Pappa Petrelli/Arthur is killed by Sylar (that was too cool). Arthur was a great character, except he was evil.
5) Nathan being shown as next season’s villain
Horrible things:
1) Matt/Daphne…..god, their lines are so cheesy!
2) Burning Elle…..she is not coming back, that would just look stupid!
3) Peter still powerless….very pointless/stupid
4) Arthur leaving Hiro stuck in time: How the hell was Hiro not able to teleport himself and Claire in a blink of an eye????
So the goods outweighed the bad, in my opinion. At least we know how Ando gets his red lightening powers: by trying to save Hiro (by trying to get Hiro’s powers)!!! I am really gonna miss Kristen Bell on this show…..
Can’t wait for the next episode, though…..let’s hope that the writers will bring ‘Heroes’ back to its Season 1 glory days!
Hiro trapped without powers… didn’t see that coming. Supposedly there was supposed to be more than one catalyst, but other than Hiro’s mom who gave “the Light” to Hiro, I didn’t see any others. Interesting that both Hiro’s mom and Linderman were healers. It also seems that healers can’t self heal. I also noticed the doves in the Nakamura suite… doves are a close relative of pigeons. Sadly Claude, the Invisible man wasn’t in this one
I’m wondering what the real truth is about Sylar’s parentage. At least he’s not “yet another Petrelli,” since he’s not Arthur’s…even if somehow he is Angela’s (which is looking less and less likely). I figured that when he showed up and found out the truth he’d kill Arthur. I dunno about the rest of you, but before Sylar showed up I was yelling at Peter to pull the trigger. On the plus side, at least Arthur sent Claire back to the present.
I want to know how Nathan survived the shooting; they haven’t shown us that as yet.
did anyone notice when Sylar asked Arthur if they were family that he didnt detect a lie when Arthur said of corse. he just detected a lie when he said he was his father.

Sylar/gabriel definitely has a sort of mental disorder, like bipolar or something. Thats what makes him fun. Everything he does makes sense to him on some level, that doesn’t mean it has to make sense to us. That’s the way I see it. And what is with Arthur and Angela both playing the parent card on him. It’s not like they collaborated on it, they’re on different sides. When were they ever able to exchange notes and decide to claim to be his parents? seriously. that doesn’t make sense. But I don’t really care about that. Pettreli or not, Sylar kicks ass. I think a Nathan and Sylar encounter or team up would’ve been great, but it doesn’t make much sense now if they aren’t brothers because then Nathan has nothing to leverage on Sylar. He could’ve played the big brother card, but now that is a moot point.

I want badass future Hiro with the sword and the slick hair. Okay, maybe not the hair. but I don’t think it’s cool he is powerless in the past. Yeah, he’s funny and like a big child, but he could be socially awkward and unreasonably excited with a kick ass samuri sword and a leather trench coat. Hell that could even be funnier. Okay, maybe not the trench coat. I mean, really, Hiro did time in fuedal Japan and fought Takezo Kensei with a sword in a tent full of explosives and threw down with Peter when he had near god powers last season. Where the hell did that go? he burried a man alive, for God’s sake, but he couldn’t blink away from Arthur. sad.
The claire and hiro scenes were pretty cool. I think Claire and Hiro should have more scenes and adventures together. Except Hiro should learn her name. she’s claire, not ‘cheerleader’.

But you know what really bugs me about heroes. Peter. I don’t care for Peter. I am glad he’s powerless. When he had powers he was almost killing everyone all the time. Season one he was the exploding man, Season two he was helping Adam release the virus. Season three he practically hands the big baddy his unlimited power. I’m sensing a trend. Between Nathan and Peter, Nathan is the actual hero. He pulled peter out of Kirby plaza. He convinced Peter that Adam was lying to him. I think he’s the real good guy, even if he is the politician.
HRG and Haitian should’ve been sent after Arthur. I missed present day HRG in this episode. I get that we got to see him in the past with Claire, and that was cool, but if you’re gonna send someone to off the Joker, you send Batman, not his side kick, the boy wonder. You don’t send the secretarial staff of the Baxter Building to put down Doctor Doom, you send the Fantastic Four. You don’t need to Harlem Globetrotters to capture Red Skull, you get Captain America. Even if Peter had all his power, there are certain things you don’t need or want Superman for. On special assignments you need Wolverine, the Punisher, or for God sakes something besides the whiny kid waiting in the reserves. you get what I’m saying. I want to see the real dynamic of Heroes back together. Noah Bennett and the Haitian, damn it. They both ‘killed’ someone last episode… sort of. I would think that would they would be the guys you send on a mission like this.
but beyond that, I like the episode.
And damn it, future Hiro would’ve cut Arthur in half. Seriously. no pussy footing around. Teleport behind him and off his head. But no, Hiro is still an over grown child even with his brain healed? Not cool. Where the hell is Hiro’s sword anyway?
okay, beyond that I still like heroes.
OK…. love him or hate him Sylar/Gabriel makes the show! “Cake”? CLASSIC! HRG must have a guardian angel or something since the Haitian hasn’t been with him in like forever & he still seems to avoid getting offed by people with abilities when he appears to have none time & time again. He can be badass without powers… doesn’t work for Peter.
Arthur did not have ability blocking powers, or he would have used them on others in the past, so the whole thing with Hiro on the rooftop not teleporting away was really dumb. It should be interesting how they pull off getting him back. The only other time traveler abilities were Peter, then taken by Arthur, so even if someone like his dad, helps him off the pole, how does he get back to real time? Whatever that is.
I think Nathan will be a lot more interesting as a bad guy than a good guy. Tracy is definitely better on the villian side. This team could be like… Arthur & Angela?? Good choice for bad guys. Nathan’s political influence & Tracy’s tactics will be interesting to see.
Elle is dead! I liked her too but get used to it, she’s gone! Matt & Daphne is getting pretty lame. They can do so much with Matt’s character & he’s a better actor than the part he’s in now. I look forward to the Matt vs HRG mental showdown eluded to on Gregg’s blog. That should be cool.
Suresh also needs to be more involved. Without powers!!! He was much cooler before he mutated. Maya? Is she even still part of the plot?
Arthur dead? For now. Maybe Nathan will see that he needs his dad’s assistance and have him resurrected? Just a thought.
Next week should be cool. Season 4 hopefully even better.
