Here are the latest TV Guide scans which reveal us that:
Sylar takes the appearance of Nathan Petrelli in order to shake hands with the President of USA and take control of the country.
Sylar asks Clair to marry him because he thinks they are destined to be together for eternity.
The episode ends with a teaser on the next volume, Redemption. It will be a flash-forward three months and we will see the return of a character that many fans thought never again.
We will see Sylar transformed again, which will shock us!

i dont get on here to talk shit to people. i, like some of the other people on this forum, have good ideas of what could happen on this show, and get on here to try to figure out whats going to happen. i only talk trash about the ideas i think are retarded, kinda like having two shows. you dont know dont know shit about me and are trying to cover your own ass because your ideas are lame. you cant take critisism of any kind, and get extremely defensive when someone does point out a flaw.

You make some great points and some interesting ideas. I like your thought about what happens to Peter getting his power back. It would make it more interesting an when Nick said the writers are confirmed he will get his power back. I still think Arthur will return.
i dont see why arthur would come back. they need to move as far away from what they did in villains as possible. he needs to stay dead, but ya theres always that door they could open.

I noticed Maya was in the Season 3 Official Poster/Banner/Picture and everyone else in the picture are main characters and they are still on-screen (Tracy will be returning) so who else thinks Maya could be the girl baddy in the next season?
I know her powers got taken away by Arthur but her Evolved Human DNA is still there, as we saw with Hiro, so she could somehow get her powers back right?

SleazyPancakes: The writers have confirmed that all of Sylar’s old abilities are gone. Literally gone, not dormant or anything. That’s all the justification we need, so his super hearing and enhanced memory powers aren’t available to him anymore (not that he’d really need his memory with clairsentience). He kept Telekinesis because it was linked to his first kill and because of the extreme guilt he felt over it (remember, he promptly tried to hang himself afterwards).
We have no evidence that Sylar posseses Arthur’s ability, or any of the abilities Arthur absorbed. In fact, we know at the very least that if Sylar has that power, he doesn’t know about it, as he’s still ripping open people’s heads as opposed to just touching them. I’m inclined to disbelieve that idea.
“As for Peter getting his power back,here is My theory: Baby Matt Parkman/Baby Eclipse as some have referred to him,from what I understand can push the evolutionary process(i.e. giving Hiro his power back,and pushing Ando’s power to the point where he can project it in a bolt),and he can also somehow turn power on and off,giving some things sentience of life even(like that toy helicopter that took flight in his nursery). Firstly, I don’t think the baby gave Ando his power to blast people. I think that was just a trick he practised on his own. The baby only turns on the abilities of evolved humans without powers, he doesn’t enhance existing abiltites or give new abilties to people who already have one. What Ando’s supercharging would do to the baby is unknown, but remember that it is only temporary. I think it’s a long shot to say that Ando + Baby + Peter will give Peter his old ability back permantly, given that the baby can’t enhance Peter’s power and Ando’s supercharging is temporary. Also, Ando’s currently over at Building 26, so him supercharging Peter for the final battle is unlikely. More generally though, that might well be how Peter regains his EM, but since Ando’s power is temporary we’ve no idea what the long-term effects on him would be.

ando or baby matt couldnt give peter his power back. ando could temporarily, and baby matt could turn peters power off. but petes only hopes are to touch sylar(either taking all of sylars powers or taking sylars empathy) or get his empathy back on his own.
Sylar and Claire have a connection… Her power was his goal since season one, so after chasing after someone all that time, would proberly have a nut case effect on someone like him lol
I think Claire hates him so much that she proberly will have a slight attraction towards him but nothing will come of it, unless he gains a power to control her =P

I do not see how bring Niki back will make something a surprize this season or next Ali Larter has been there since the 1st season. Hopefully it’s someone from a few seasons ago D.L., Claude, Monica, Linderman, or someone else. I know most are dead but the only few people that could come back would be Monica, Arthur or Maya.
I thought Maya was hot but, boring. They still have her listed on the nbc heroes site so I wont be surprized if it’s her they have come back. I am not saying thats a good idea but it looks that way since her name is still up there and she was the only one to really just walk away without a thought. I am still pulling for Claude because he showed Peter his abilities and being invisible is a great ablility. I think they will disappoint with who will come back. The show has been disappointing lately with some good stories and the big let downs.

It would be one way to bring back poeple better suited alive than dead. Well in this show some people have the same ability. There can be someone else with a power like Linderman’s. That kid that could fly had the same ability as Nathan and, it looks like everyone can see into the future on the show. But why not bring some new people with some new and,favorite abilities. I like the guy with the vortex ability.
@Roy if you had read my earlier comment you would have seen that i thought it wasn’t the characters ruining the show it was the abilities, i mean take nathan’s ability for example,flight!it sooo boring. Now if you take maya’s power it was different and dark although slightly disterbing it was still a very unique power
I can dig Sylar/Claire. I think it would be VERY interesting. Very.
IF that whole future still exists, then it makes sense because of Sylar’s future residence in the Bennet house and the little boy named Noah. I think Claire did mention something about him taking everything from her in that future sequence but i dont remember. I know that Peter changed that future, so its probably not the same. Although, they also changed “5 years gone” and some of those events are still happening. Perhaps when the future is changed, some things are still meant to be regardless…
As far as someone coming back: I hope it’s not Niki. Her character went as far as she could go. It was smart killing her off. And Monica had a cool power but no storyline. Tracy we would except–and Kring says we didn’t think he/she would return. I do think Tracy will return but we’ll meet Barbara first.
I think that Elle would be a fabulous return. We def wouldn’t really expect her to come back. I also like the idea of Claude–but idk. It’s probably someone we haven’t even guessed on yet.

In My opinion,Maya is too much of a pussy to come back as a villain.She was always acting afraid like a abused dog. The only person I think she might have taken ANY enjoyment in killing was that whore that her brother was about to marry. And when she discovered what Suresh was doing with those people in his lab,after he was all creepy and mutated,although she was in fear for her life,she couldn’t even use her power fully to kill Suresh(which I would have applauded!). The only reason why I don’t think she has totally disappeared yet is because if Suresh survives this season,then she will have some part in his “redemption” next season. I mean it seemed like her and Suresh had kinda fallen in love and she trusted him,and he wound up betraying her and almost killing her. And he went to her apartment that one day to see her but pussed out and left before she came to the door. Suresh is a fucking VAG and I hope he gets offed SOON!

IF Sylar did in fact have Arthur’s abilities,that would explain a few things,like how he got out of Danko’s car and up to the rooftop without a sound(Hiro’s teleportation),and it could explain how he got into that guys(the one with the “destruction snap” ability) apartment undetected(again that could have been Hiro’s ability)…..And since realizing his EM ability,he hasn’t just ripped open every head,like when he got the shape shifting ability, he used his EM.Furthermore,there may be alot of Sylars powers that we don’t know about yet because he has been undercover as that one agent and going on hunts with the teams when they track down others with power,so he could have been using his EM to get their abilities too??Or maybe when he was connecting with Peter when he thought they were brothers,he unknowingly triggered his EM and got Peters powers then???And if that’s true,then he could have taken Samson’s as well! Just a thought…
And I think you misunderstood My theory,I wasn’t saying that Baby MP gave Ando the ability to blast people,I said the baby could have pushed his evolutionary process a bit to where he could project those bolts. Which I don’t think was a trick he practiced on his own,because he looked truly surprised when the bolt shot out from his hands,so I don’t think he was expecting it. And we don’t know that the baby’s only ability is to turn on the powers of evolved humans without powers,because we have obviously seen there is more to it than that.For instance,he touches inanimate objects and they spring to life,he caused the vehicles he was in to lose all power,so there is more to it than we think.
Now for Ando’s supercharger to work right,I think he just has to hold on to that person until the desired effect has been reached. The baby can turn the power on and off(and possibly push evolution by awakening dormant power),SO if he was charged by Ando,and is in contact with Peter,that could possibly awaken his EM and push it to the point where it functions like it did after all that time he trained with them. THEN if Ando were to hold on to Peter and charge his ability,that could amplify his EM to the point where he could absorb LOTS of powers.And Ando’s ability would only be needed until Peter absorbed all those powers,then Peter would have them and wouldn’t need Ando’s charge anymore.You said that this isn’t a likely scenario,but I don’t think this theory is that big of a stretch of the imagination. We’ll see what happens…
Here is My theory on the whole Sylar/Claire thing:Sylar never felt like he fit in,neither did Claire. Sylar was betrayed by his father,so was Claire(TWICE!). Sylar and Claire are both immortal.They both have killed others,whether intentional or accidental. He obviously doesn’t want her to die(even though he said he couldn’t kill her even if he wanted)because he has saved her life by keeping her from being sucked into that vortex,even though she expressed disgust and seething hatred for him. I”m waiting to see how else her power will evolve,I mean if her blood can bring back the dead(Noah after being shot in the head),who knows what else she could do! And I think Sylar is going to end up defending Claire’s life again if Samson makes a return and comes after her and her power(which would make him a possibly bad ass villain for coming seasons).Sylar did mention he got it from a cheerleader in California,and Samson might have some way of tracking her down with that knowledge.Samson has that hunger like Sylar,and showed that he REALLY wanted Claire’s ability,so that could drive him to hunt for her.This would possibly lead to a pretty cool showdown between Sylar and Samson!WOOHOO!
I can already see Peter vs Sylar’s encounter being a Rocky-ish brawl. I.e. Peter gets helluva beating, close to die, then suddendly taps into his empathy and gets all his power back, kicking Sylar’s butt.
After copying The Fly with Mohinder and Psycho with Sylar… will we get the “classic” half-dead hero winning against the fully healthy villain after going berserk?

I’m just saying that Matt Parkman is going to mentally trick Sylar to Kill HRG. Sylar will think that HRG is Nathan and thus Sylar gets no powers and the Real Nathan is able to meet the president.
Being that Claire will hate Slyar and blame him for everything at she has lost.

Your right about the ablilities. I think if they have a good story to go with the abilities it would not make the character seem boring. Look Hiro was a guy I liked in the 1st season but he never came to light. He seems too clumsy now messing up things and treating Ando like he knows nothing.
They seem to be focusing on some characters and not others and thats ok as long you stick to a good plot. They have mostly everyone from the 1st season week and hype up the return of Maya??????????? Come on….. Her ability was a good one but they never took it anywhere. If they made that power come back to her now but, this time it corrupts making her evil that could be most interesting. Having her corrupted by the evil with in her.
In the end it’s not about the ability, it’s about the story that goes with it.
They should bring a new ability in, that fans wouldnt expect to see and would enjoy to see. They should also expand on possible ways that Claire and sylar may not age ect.. so the actor’s can stay in the show long enough to age natually. I would only want Maya to come back if she wasnt in the show much and just a side character. She never really got the hang of her power to use it for good, then they took it away before we could really see it’s true potential. They should never of given Suresh or Ando powers. I liked them being normal and just oridinary people trying to help the heroes.

Yeah I agree, I liked Suresh much more when he was a normal guy trying to empathise with the others, knwing he could never really understand what it was like. Ando with powers I don’t mind so much but true, I think they’re just throwing around new abilities left right and centre atm.. T_T.
I’m not too keen on Maya I must admitt, the whle Maya and Alejandro (spelling?) in Season 2 was a major flaw to that season I think. The ability had great potential but their scenes were just lng and tedious I think. I reckon if they’re gonna come up with more people, more abilities, they shouldn’t replicate abilities already in the show. I remember when West was able t fly.. I duno about everyone else but I thought oh maybe there’s a connection with Nathan there since at the time it was still about the DNA.. perhaps initially there was supposed to be pre-writer’s strike..
And again, I agree with maybe looking more at why Claire and the whole ‘not aging’ thing.. Is she just immortal, or does she not age either? Because if she doesn’t age.. how did she get to.. whatever age she is now considering she was injected with the power as a baby?? =S
I think the flaws of Season 3 are that the writers a re just trying TOO hard. Like it’s extremely action packed to compensate for the more plotty Season 2 but I thought it made an interesting change, even if a little slow. Now they’re just trying to force links that weren’t originally there and disregarding fundamental storylines from Season 1 and 2? There is little connection.. more new links were formed instead. I beginning to agree with whoever said maybe they need to reload the show and go back to basics. However, I think it’s hella risky to just pretend 2 seasons didn’t happen so I doubt they’ll ever do it, but not a bad suggestion.
The Heroes production team just need to go back to basics, stop listening to criticism from any of us and just go with it. Think about it, Season 1 is the best season by far and it’s because it was original, thoroughly thought out.. and since it was a kind of pilot or a test, there were no expectations for it to be as great as it has been. It set the standard for the show without having the pressures to write in this way or that way.. They had to trust the instincts of the team and it paid off enormously. There are alwys going to be critics, but Heroes are listening to them ALL way too much.. we all contradict ideas on what we think is great and we’re just a fraction of the fanbase.. so if they try to make everyone happy it won’t work. The show will get confusing.. as it kinda already has done. Take Prison Break for example, everyone adored Season 1 but after that.. it became a ‘love it, hate it’ scenario but the writers didn’t try to change the original concept of the film and I think it’s doing much better for it, yeah it probably lost viewers but the storyline all fits together from season to season and those who like it, love it.
how about an episode where thats true,claire wakes up and its the same day she got her powers however she dosent get them and all the events that would have happened dont however that dosent stop claire. i think matt will take claire on a spirit walk because she is so cocky about her ability and shows her all the events that would have happened up to then had none of them had powers featuring some old characters
id like to see matt be more of a leader of the heroes, kinda like professor x. he can see the future, read people thoughts, and control other peoples minds. who ever says sylar is god like and no one can stop him is dead wrong. parkman is pretty much the most powerful hero(at least until pete gets his powers back), he just needs to realize it. unfortunatly he’ll probly be doing daddy stuff in the next volume.
sorry thepoopsmith but that would’nt even be possible, if matt were to show the true extent of his powers sylar would just find him and kill him. matt would attempt to fight sylar but at the end he would fail and die and since sylar can shapeshift, matt parkman would not even be able to fight back unless sylar is feeling extra cocky in their confrontation.
sylars easily distracted(as shown in “i am sylar” when he was standing over nathans body while danko puts a knife in the back of his head) so i think he could be busy fighting peter or claire could play with his heart while matt does what he does. arthur was able to whipe angelas and hiros minds with his telepathy, so matt could probly do something like that.

Shapeshifting is actually less effective against Parkman then anybody else. The guy can read your mind, remember? All Sylar has to do is act the least bit suspicious and Matt will know who he is. After that it’s a matter of using the illusion aspects of his power to either run away or kill Sylar with it. Besides, Matt’s a precog. Hiro learned how hard it is to sneak up on people like that. If Matt paints Sylar coming after him he’d be perfectly ready for whatever Sylar might do. Short of the Hatian and Hiro he’s probably one of the few who could kill Sylar (and even Hiro may not be able to depending on how badly it hurts him to use his power).

Since Matt is unlikely to encounter Sylar (he’ll be busy at building 26) I’m wondering if Peter won’t be able to recall on Matt’s power to brainwash Sylar or something.
Another shitty 5cents theory: Nathan dies, Peter goes emo and reconnects with his empathy. We get a nice series of flashback one being with Claude tossing Peter down the building (to prove imdb right), others being everyone who he’s touched since his injection. He has access to all these powers now. Peter enrages and seriously screw Sylar’s mind with telepathy. Nathan is dead and Sylar thinks he’s Mr. Muggles or something. This of course is temporary since the mind can be regenerated. And Fugitives end on that note!
Sylar didn’t touch Nathan, he got his DNA from his toothbrush.

I have to say that was a good season finale. I have been one to really bash the writers but at least they came up with a great ending. I think they could have done better without showing Tracy. She was not a surprise. Sylar was the surprise and I did not want Nathan to die just yet but I am more than satified with the real Nathan dead. Now the 1st future can come to be. Or the chance that when Peter finds out the truth he will change……
The only thing how long will this last? They should keep it going for the whole next season not switching not like they have been doing giving something cool like Peter and Sylar as brothers then taking it away 2 episodes later. So many minor plots, storylines, and episodes they can do with this before (letting the dog out of the bag).
Josh: Sylar never touched Nathan. He found his toothbrush when he was in his office. He was shapeshifting into his mom who convinced him he can be POTUS. So you see him hold up the toothbrush when he finally decides to go through with the plan. I don’t think he needs to touch a person’s skin per se, just come in contact with their DNA or whatever.
Hope that clears that up. I also get irked by some of these weird plot holes.
Ok one big plot hole was Sylar could shapeshift but he did not shapeshift the outfit too. When he was Clair’s mom he turned back into himself still wearing Clair’s mother’s jacket. Now when he shapshifts he has new outfits too. Like when he was putting on Nathan’s suit then turning back to himself with his grey jacket.

At least this season finale has you really thinking what will come next. Who will find out 1st about Sylar? Peter, Clair, or Sylar?
One thing I thought of that doesn’t tie out anymore….if Sylar and Peter aren’t related, how the hell in the 1st volume of this season 3 did Arthur know Sylar can use empathy? Furthermore, if Samson is his real father, how can he use it all?? They f*cked that part up and can’t tie it back it in unless they show Sylar’s mother had that power and it’s an innate ability…also, sometimes I think everyone including myself forgets how powerful Parkman’s ability is…remember what Maury did to all of them during Season 2 and even helped Arthur regenerate! Can’t wait until next season now that they didn’t kill off my boy Peter..and Please make it a bunch of episodes like Season 1 or this two volumes like this one!
I dont know who said that claire was injected with her powers as a baby. Sorry to burst your bubble but she was born with her ability. Hence the reason why Hiro’s dad wanted to give her the cattalyst. because she was the “Perfect candidate” to protect it. (not being able to get hurt or die)

That might have been me, Travis.. I think you’re probably right actually. I just assumed because I think Peter and Nathan were injected, most/all the other heroes were too? Because they had that episode where Peter and Nathan were blaming their mum and stuff for doing it to them. Or do I have it totally confused lol. Too much goes on it’s hard to keep track sometimes xD.

I think you may have heard wrong…Nathan WAS injected as a child,but Peter was born with his abilities. I know there are a few other Heroes that were born with their abilities as well,and the others were given their powers.
@gotay Behind the Eclipse hinted before that Peter and Sylar in fact both had empathic mimicry, and that Sylar absorbed IT from his dad before his dad gave him up. It may not be confirmed, but I feel it’s still the best solution to your question. I know people will argue that Sylar can’t have had mimicry as his innate ability…but maybe he really didn’t know. No one says IT is a perfect ability, maybe empathic mimicry is to strong of a power to be fully understood. Maybe sylar watching his dad kill his mom supressed his ability to care and love for people, and therefore suppressed the mimicry. It wasn’t until meeting arthur (who he believed to be his real dad), that he was able to overcome the emotional trauma and rekindle the power.
@gotay and you’re totally right about Parkman. I think he’s the most underestimated character on the show, and I can’t wait until he finally unleashes everything he’s got on someone. I really think once he’s tapped his full potential that he can go head to head with anyone else.
@gotay Sylar has been studied by the Company since his ability manifested. Arthur was kinda knowledgable about abilities since he could eat them. He also had IA from Peter, which could’ve basically made him with abilities what Sylar was to watches: a specialist.
People don’t necessarily have to be of the same family to have similar abilities. Last time we checked, Nathan was Claire’s father… not Adam. I don’t think Hiro’s mom was Linderman’s daughter either.
@FD I’m glad you brought up Hiro’s mom, because I’ve been curious about her power and I’d like your two cents:
Do you think her power was simply healing things, or do you think she actually had the power to resurrect, because that bird she “healed” looked pretty darn dead.
I’ve acted under the assumption that she could actually restore life itself. To me it made sense that the creators would give such a noble power to such a person. I mean, can you imagine if Sylar or Arthur had had the power to raise the dead? I think the show might have been a little too intense (if not downright graphic) to show on local television. lol. Such a power (from a writers angle) could only be trusted with someone who knew to use it wisely and responsibly…and of course in the hands of someone who didn’t have long to live on the show…otherwise the plot holes could have gotten way out of hand.
haha nathan, sylar killed you lol, shame he has to change into you though, but i’m glad theres still a bit of sylar in him. shame one of them had to die though i would have prefered them both to have survived. shame but that heroes, now i think there should be a new sylar so that there can be another kck ass fight.

I think he would. Sylar knows Claire is stonger than she looks. Plus she is very attractive. Claire will always be that one that keeps reminding him who and what he is. for example because of his identity crisis from shapeshifting. I think Claire can help Sylar find a path on the Hero side or he can stay the Villian who is in love with the Heroine. The Villian and the Heroine. I think Claire can come to love the Dark Side of Sylar and the Light Side. To remind him that he is Sylar (Gabiral) (sp?) and no other person.
how does claire remind sylar of who he is? im my opinion, elle reminds sylar more of who he. she knew him when he turned good (even though for a short while in the episode villians), before he turned evil again. elle knew him when he was evil as well. he tried to kill her once when she almost desroyed the place and let the level 5 prisoners free. also when he started working for Arthur petrelli, when he found out he had empathic mimicry. he sympathised with elle and felt compassion for her allowing him to get her ability. and im sure he has never felt that way towards claire. Also i think elle was much tougher than claire. she had the ability to manipulate electricity and she was an agent for the company as well. elle was expected to be tough and smart because she worked for the company. nothing was expected of claire. she was just a cheerleader. elle had to face more challenges than claire from life in general. especially when she let all the prisoners free and angela petrelli fired/kicked her out of the company. Claire cant die so she never had to fight for herslef or defend anyone (though shes realized how much of a punk she was and has started being tough for herself) Also, in MY opinion, i think Elle was waaaaaayyyyyyy HOTTTTTERRRR and way more attractive than claire. ( ok that might have been pushing it a bit) you may think otherwise. Altogether, elle would have been better for sylar but he killed her regardless. Like i said before, the ONLY thing that makes claire special is the fact that she cannot die. which is why sylar finds her fascinating. also probably because he can identify with her because she was also adopted. Nevertheless, it was clear he was much more fascinated about her ability than any other thing. besides she would be the only one left after every other person had aged and died. she might eventually come to love him.

no problem with the speech. well atleast you were nice about it. people on youtube can be mean. But Thats a lot you said there sir. Perhapes you’re right. But Elle is dead. So it was made clear that they were not meant to be together till she died of old age. She yes had her issues. she’s clearly older than Claire. Elle is the person Claire could have become or was becoming. Claire was trying to act tough becuase Elee was put in those situations ever since she was little. Claire was sheltered by Noah becuase he wanted her to have a normal life. Elle didn’t have that. The reason Claire wants to be a Hero is becuase of Sylar, becuase of what did to her made her stong made her want to do things others couldn’t. In my eyes thats huge. Sylar is helping her grow even if he doesn’t know it and has his…twisted ways. XD
I guess we will see when the season starts up again. I think more reasons that Sylar is fasinated with Claire will come up as there relationship grows. Like I said Claire and Sylar will get to know each other and things will be said that we don’t know of yet. See those are the only reason we know of now, things will change later. We have to wait and see and reason will pop up and emerge.
