What We Learned: Daphne Is Alive, HRG Teams Up With Angela!

by Matej ( Heroes Television)

Here are pictures from tonight’s episode showing that Daphne is in fact alive. Kudos to our friend The ODI who uploaded them as soon the episode finished, check his blog!

We also learned what HRG has been up to – teaming up with Angela and why he joined Nathan. Here’s episode 18 description.

Got something to add, what did you think about tonight’s episode – share in comments. I personally didn’t liked it that much as everyone is saying, maybe I was expecting to much, it surely wasn’t as good as 1×17 The Company Man …

I don’t know, I prefered this one to company man, but then again I was prefering volume 4 to volume 1 and then boom, the decide to what? make volume 4 almost like volume 1? Matt painting the explosion on the floor? For a second I thought they were in Isaccs apartment, but then realised it was a different painting. I know we’ve all said they needed the old writers back…but come on, this is ridiculous.

I know what you mean… i think it might be abit boring if they do all the same plot lines but if they do something good with it , it might be ok hopefully..?

Ugh, the painting on the floor at the end yeah…they’re trying too hard. Overall a good episode but they better do something good with that painting”-issue”. I don’t like Matt having that “ability” at all. It’s like the writers are think “we don’t have anyone who can’t paint the future now!” (except Sylar) so they’re trying to come up with a way and thinking “well, Matt hasn’t had it, why not have him painting the future?” or whatever…

Cold Wars was a great episode. But the painting on the floor wasn’t necessary. It is best to include 2-3 story lines in an episode. Next episode will be about Claire, Hiro-Ando, and Sylar probably, But I guess Nathan and his “buddies” are probably going to be in every episode.

SophieS… Sylar dont have the ability to paint future anymore. He lost it due the shanti virus and he lost many others abilites too.

Great episode i really enjoy this volume.I was glad sylar wasent in this episode he use too much screen time.
Is it just me or does Daphnes acting suck this volume?

I cant believe no one is talking about the watch that HRG gave back to Angela. And how it is now GOLD. Anyone???

SophieS February 24, 2009 at 10:58 pm

Oh yeah right…right, didn’t think about that.. :)

And yeah, I have to agree with you on Brea Grant’s acting, bananaphone…I was kinda confused, didn’t really know if she was supposed to act like that or if it was just…bad acting.

Matthew, I noticed that too…gonna watch it again now, have to take a closer look at that.

SophieS February 25, 2009 at 12:42 am

Watching the episode again now, the clock looks different ’cause the scene is in black&white first time we see it. And did anyone else notice that HRG says the same thing as Elle when Angela’s telling them to quit?

@ Matthew
I would have loved to read more into that (the watch thing) and try to figure out some hidden meaning or symbolism, or even speculate about Angela or HRG having saved Sylar from the Primatech fire (since Sylar can turn things to gold, thanks to the late Bob)… but alas, I think that it is just what it was meant to be… a ‘retirement gift’ as it were. It’s not unheard of, after many years of service, for an employee to receive a gold watch (or something similar) upon retirement (and sometimes redundancy, I think). That’s all it was. Angela gave HRG the watch as a personal gift (after giving him severance pay, etc) for his years of service with The Company… and HRG gave it back at the end to show [us] that he is still working for them.

BTW the watch was always gold… the flashback/ memory scenes were just in black & white!

I didn’t like this episode my self only because it basicly told us what we pretty much already knew.

I don’t know why they put Peter in situations wear he could kill somebody we all know he wont .

But overall I like this season and hope it only gets better!

bananaphone February 25, 2009 at 4:09 pm

I like this volume so far :) The only thing that i dont like is Peter’s new power? I thought atleast he would be able to keep more powers by touch …but no just one lame ability?!
Right now it was only flight he used in 3×17 cold wars.I wanted to see him use another ability or multiple abilities! (that would be great).

oh im still confused bout how daphne is still alive. im glad shes alive tho.

Tarot February 25, 2009 at 8:17 pm

I’m glad Daphne survived. I like her.

I’m also wondering what exactly HRG and Angela are up to. It looks like they are trying to infiltrate the Hunter and Nathan’s secret ops but what do they hope to accomplish?

James February 25, 2009 at 11:16 pm

I love Daphne…she is awsome cuz she is Really Fast!! haha anyway i dnt like H.R.G….i never liked his since season 1….he is very annoying ( i dnt kno why) but he just is!!

Mihajlo March 2, 2009 at 2:35 pm

@ Irishman22

You are right about Peter, we’ve seen him threatening to kill in the past, so we know he is not a killer, that’s why they shouldn’t put him in that kind of position. If he kills someone, than it’s ok :D
