Here’s the another set of question&answers from Heroes producers Joe Pokaski and Aron Coleite. Below is the spoiler summary, only things which are worth knowing for future episodes. To read the whole interview (it’s big )head over to Comic Book Resources.
In the episode entitled “War,” will there be a definitive “Heroes win” or “Villains win” ending to this story, or will it be more ambiguous?
There will be buildings blowing up – that’s definitive, right? Like the end of our previous two volumes, we’ll put some stories to rest, and maybe even some characters. But we wouldn’t want a clear cut ending like “heroes win,” that would be boring, wouldn’t it?
- We haven’t seen the last of Usutu
Will we find out which of the Heroes were born with powers and who’s were artificially induced?
Most all of the older generation is “natural” as the formula – we will learn a little more about the formula’s origins in the upcoming episodes.
Is Sylar’s power the only one to come with side effects like the Hunger?
Most all of these powers have side effects, although the hunger may be the most overt. Peter almost overloaded when he tried to get a grip on his powers while training with Claude. Jessica emerged as a side-effect of Niki’s super-strength and emotional weakness. Isaac believed he needed Heroin to see the future. And Mr. Muggles, well that’s a tale for another time…
Will we ever find out if Adam has any descendents out there?
Yes. But not this season.
Why is Arthur so scared of anyone that can dream about him or see into the future? Is this the key to stopping him?
Exactly. It’s the only real wild card. The bet laid plans of mice an men, no matter how well conceived, are vulnerable to the dreams and visions of any mouse or man who can see the future.
If Arthur dies, what happens to all the powers he has absorbed? Do they die with him, or are they returned to the original owners?
They die with him. He’s not the arc of the covenant.. You really want Peter to get his powers back, dontcha? Well, it’s not gonna be that easy.
Was Linderman being genuinely altruistic when he helped Angela, or was it just a power play?
You never know with Linderman, do you? Even at his most altruistic he always has a method. And Angela was helping Linderman in his plot to destroy NYC.
Will we ever get to see Linderman again? Did Arthur faked his death?
You never know with Linderman, do you?
Can Sylar transfer abilites, like HRG said: ‘The ability to transfer abilities from one vessel to another is very rare.’ ?
No, but he’s going to do something tonight a little different.
- Lindermann can’t “heal” powers, only memories. Keep an eye out for exactly that sort of action in episode 12 “Our Father.”
- We’ll see Puppeteer again in an episode 13 — “War,” written by Jeph Loeb. Stonehenge. And he’ll most definitely have at least one appearance in the next volume: “Fugitives.”

i would really love to see a war between our “heroes” and our “villains” but are the groups we see at the end of Episode 9 (Arthur’s Group and Angela’s Group) our final makeup or will some switch sides?…And will others be added into the groups such as Hiro Nakumura, Ando, Mohinder, Meredith Gordon, Maya, “Usutu”, and maybe even the third sister Barbara. I can’t wait to finally see sister 3 in action!
Hi Producers,
There are some suggestions from me on my websites recently about ideas for future episodes. These feature suggestions on Shuresh , Hiro , Sylar , Claire and other Heroes.
As for mr. Sylar , I don´t want to guess to much on Heroes so I like to give them their time to tell us their stories when the next episodes arrive.
Keep up the good work ,
cheers,
H.W.
will peter get his powers back?
Pretty interesting.
Elle is the best character she brings comic relief to the show, plus she is a really good actress. The scenes with her and sylar were amazing. Claire and Elle on the way to Pinehurst, on the plain was prety funny to.
What is really shocking to me is that Peter has not got his powers yet. No one has talked about it. This season is almost done when are they coming back. I bet that the scar on his face will be a part of the season finally if he doesn’t get his power back by then.
Whoa whoa whoa. This is getting a little strange. First off, are they hinting that Linderman is coming back? I thought he could only heal others — not himself (that would make him like Claire or Adam). But how could Arthur have faked Linderman’s death when it was clearly shown that DL phased his hand through Linderman’s brain.
Anyway, I do think however, that he was being genuine, when he helped Angela by healing her brain from all the times Arthur messed up her head because he said something along the lines of, “after everything I’ve done, there’s still some shred of morality in me” (unlike arthur who he was referring to).
“We haven’t seen the last of Usutu.” Thank God! That guy was awesome. Even though he had the same power as Isaac, he was crazy wise like Yoda or something, and Matt Parkman sees him cross the hallway at Primatech when he gets into Angela’s head. Maybe he dies but people can still see him like Luke could still see Obi-Wan after he died because Usutu is like ridiculously powerful or something… I dunno. Just a thought.
Of course Adam has descendents. He was like 400 years old when he died meaning he probably (and should have) banged hundreds of thousands of women thus creating offspring with superpowers.
Puppeteer comes back? Awesome! That guy had a really bad A power and he makes for a perfect villain so I absolutely cannot wait to see what happens with him!
“They die with him. He’s not the arc of the covenant.” LMAO. But seriously, I’m really interested to see how Peter gets his powers back since “it’s not going to be easy.” But I do agree that Peter will get his scar while his powers are gone… the only question is how.
i have a theory on the vessel thing with syler – he cant transfer them automaticly, like arthur stole all the other powers, syler has the ability to understand how things work, maybe he mastered the power to such a level that he can actually mess with cells?like cut someones head and mess with their brain and then put everything back, and voila …
Something has just clicked in my head, All the mention of Peter not having his powers and how hes going to get them back and Sylar being able to transfer powers from one vessel to another Hmmmm… They are brothers maybe an early christmas prezzie from Sylar to Peter LOL Sylar does have all the powers Peter used to have as well and Sylar has also learned to gain powers without having to kill people, Which Peter had learned to do!
P.S. Really Sad that Adam died he was awesome and also that Elle dies since shes FIT!!! LOL
Please tell me you’re going to give Hiro back his powers. I’d really hate to see him without them, as he is my favorite hero. (After all, his name is Hiro.)
