OH MY GOD!!! Cannot wait. All of us here, us devoted Heroes fans, have been waiting NINE MONTHS for this. Now we only have TEN DAYS left. I have so much hope for this. My eyes are going to be glued for those three hours and I am not gonna move, not even during commericals.

Does anyone know how Future Peter is able to assume the identity of Present Peter?
I’m not just talking about if (or how) he managed to get a power similar to Candice’s… What I mean is how has he transferred the essence/ soul/ mind of Present Peter into the guy in Level 5?
I was just about to say that I’ve probably just answered my own question (maybe he has used Parkman’s power to transfer Present Pete’s mind into Level 5 Guy’s body… but then that raises other questions, such as…
1) Where has Level 5 Guy’s mind been transferred to? (If Future Pete poses as Present Pete… and Present Pete’s mind (?) is in Level 5 Guy… what happened to THAT guy – or his conciousness???)
2) Where does Present Pete’s body go? (I hear Matt and PP chase FP, PP catches up with him, and FP quickly assumes his identity before Matt catches up – it all happens so swiftly).
3) How is FP able to morph into PP and back again?
Anyone got any ideas? Coz this one’s got me stumped… and no, I can’t wait until the show starts to find out! (Overactive imagination + too damn impatient = s.k.74!) (8-S

I am dying to see this. But I have a problem, I have no way to watch it! I’m in Ireland, we don’t get NBC and you can’t watch it online unless you live in America… Any ideas as too how I can get around this?? I NEED to see this.

Efa, Heroes Season 3 will also air on BBC at the same time. Although I’m not sure if you are able to watch BBC in Ireland.

I know no-one said about minds being transferred (hence the question mark (?) after the word ‘mind’).
My original post asked if anyone knows HOW Future Peter is able to do what he has done – which is to trap Present Peter into the body of the bald headed man in Level 5. The only way I can see this being possible is if Peter’s ‘essence’ (or soul, or something) is ‘possessing’ the body of the Level 5 Guy… or if Peter’s MIND is switched with the bald man (which seems more feasible, and could be explained if you think of what Matt Parkman’s power might be able to achieve).
But I think we can agree that, somehow, Present Peter is somehow trapped in the body of the bald man… I just wondered how it was possible, and also, where is baldy’s original ‘inhabitant’, unless he was an empty shell to begin with?
Sorry if I confused anyone… Pure speculation on my part about the ‘mind-transfer’ scenario, but it seems to me to be the most logical explanation for how Future Peter can pull off this trick, since he already has Matt’s abilities.
Hope I’ve made myself clear this time around!
Also, jane doe, there is no guarantee that Peter has absorbed Candice’s ability… It is possible – after all, she was around on Kirby Plaza (in the sewers, or just ‘hidden’?) and Peter absorbed D.L.s phasing ability although he was faaaarrrr away from him at the time… but we just can’t tell for sure if he absorbed the Illusion power from her. Or could he have acquired it in the future from somebody else, since Candice is now dead?
When would the third season be out. I need to watch that season soonest.

Probably in the future, future peter absorbed someone who has the same ablities as candice and i think Future peter managed to trap present peter in his body because he probably has the power to swap people in other people’s bodies.
Future Ando appears to be a villain, probably his power have gone to his head.
you know how matt parkman powers are advancing now he is able to send thoughts to other people. probably other heroes powers will advance, like monica’s she mite able to copy other people’s powers that would be cool and Peter not just copy other peoples powers by being near them but copying other people powers just by thinking of the power he wants.

I agree with you, about other characters manifesting similar abilities. However, when you have someone like Peter displaying abilities out of nowhere just to make the story work, with no rational explanation as to how he got these abilities, it therefore makes the show complicated to the point where it becomes unbelievable! (At least to me, anyway.)
For instance, I thought that Peter had to be NEAR somebody to absorb their abilities (think of how close Ted Sprague had to be before he started to absorb his Radioactivity power)… but apparently he has absorbed D.L.s Phasing ability – just by being ‘in the same street’ as him (remember how far away they were on Kirby Plaza? Nowhere near each other!) And to top it all off, it seems the writers decided to give Peter this phasing power on a whim – and be able to use it in Season 2 WHEN HE HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF HAVING IT (even when he didn’t have all of his memory)… which was just TOO convenient, imho… The way he used that power to get himself and Adam out of their cells didn’t make sense to me at the time. It’s like he knew he could do it.
Don’t get me wrong, I love this show… I used to live, breathe, eat, sleep and s**t X-men back in the day… used to collect ALL the comics. And I actually prefer the way that they’ve tackled Heroes – it’s like a more realistic and mature version of X-men and then some. Maybe that’s why I’m so critical of this series, because it’s much better when it does make sense.
Peter could pass people on the street with just about ANY ability and absorb that power… but if he can recall that ability without even suspecting that he has it… well, he could do just about anything, and then the realism suffers. The best heroes are the ones that have limits to what they can do, but carry on regardless despite those limits. If our protagonist starts thinking “Hmmm… let me see if I’ve got this power… HEY, I have!”, it starts to get a bit stupid, don’t you think?
Sorry to go off on a tangent, just thought I’d explain why I’m such a stickler for details, and why I try to think ahead to anticipate/ explain such possibilities. It would be a shame if the show started losing credibility (to me) coz of unbelievable – or impossible – scenarios and ‘unexplained conveniences’. Continuity is important.

To add to my last post (coz I went off the point just a little!)… I’m aware that Future Peter could have absorbed a similar power to Candice’s from an entirely new character, and that it hasn’t necessarily happened yet in our timeline.
And remember, when dealing with things like time travel, and dead characters coming back… it’s impossible for things to NOT get complicated. But, if tackled and answered correctly (which means avoiding paradoxes and contradictions), the story could remain plausible, and nerds like me remain satisfied lol!
(And remember, mystery is all good. But unanswered questions might just leave some people feeling… shall we say… LOST?!? lol)
